I like this win for Goff. But I personally like this win for someone like Hutch. He grew up like the majority of fans after their last playoff win. For Hutch and people my age specifically, he also grew up and was also a fan of the Lions during the Stafford era. So this win is extra special.
As someone born after the Lions last playoff win, it was super painful. The Kitna, Harrington, and Danny O era was nothing but pain and embarrassment. Especially during family gatherings. I specifically have an Ohio State AND Cowboys fan relative, and it’s been nothing but ribbing for the past decade. Now we’re here.

All due respect to Gary Danielson, Eric Hipple, Eric Kramer, Dave Krieg, Rodney Peete, Gus Frerotte, John Kitna, Jeff Garcia, or Scott Mitchell, between Landry and Stafford, it was all just a painful world of hurt. Finally, we have something to cheer for, root on, and believe in. Goff doesn't even need to be the best QB ever, he just has to be the QB that the Lion's need to take them where they want to go. I just love all the rest of the positive pro Lion's comments posted here. I think as fans, we have waited long enough. Seize the moment!!

Lions got a huge false start call against them near the end of the first half. Ending their drive and basically taking another touchdown away from the since the Rams could not stop them in the first half. Should have been 28-17 heading into halftime, or at least 24-17. We all know NFL has horrible officials, some even say it’s rigged and scripted. Every team has bad calls against them or for them.
I understand how unlikely it is but IF my Houston Texans dream/fantasy season continues and I should find myself watching them in the Super Bowl this year but then lose I would be disappointed. UNLESS it were to the Detroit Lions. I don't even see how I could do anything but applaud and feel good for them and their fans.
I told my dad months ago before the deadline, the one worry is the secondary. Holmes should have made a move for a CB. They are averaging giving up 185.5 yards to opponents #1 in the last 4 games. That 1 lack of a move is the last piece that could cost you a super bowl. To put an amazing team together, draft so well but fail to fill out the secondary scares me against SF or Baltimore
they’re not giving up points though and are good in the red zone on defense. I think the concerns about the defense are overblown, yes they should make some changes in the offseason though
