Never seen something so true. The game doesn’t seem like something that burns you out, but it does, lol. It’s weird, and you come back to it months later with the same passion as before.
The former Stardew content creator curse will never ever leave you unfortunately, people just cant accept that creators need to be creative and move on. Dangerously funny *still* gets comments asking him to go back and play, and he hasn't played for almost 4 years! Personally, love you recognizing you were getting burnt out and changing directions instead of torturing yourself!
It's like that with minecraft, the sims and skyrim, too. People are voracious for that specific brand of content, will subscribe just for that game, and nothing else.
When the 100% video came out it felt for me like a little conclusion of Sean just primarily stardew content. I’m loving the new content and I’m more here for his humor and personality now rather than another modded stardew farm
Your reasons are all perfectly fair, Seanie. I love seeing your other videos, and if and when you wanna come back to Stardew, we'd love to see it. I'm glad you made this video, and hopefully people will stop being jerks and needling you.
Totally feel this. I enjoy Stardew but once it becomes a chore to 100% with cooking every item, getting every fish, that's when I tap out. Respect to the people that love that but it's the same reason I'll never get too into speedrunning games; it just seems like it'll destroy the casual enjoyment. I'm personally enjoying your 100% videos and other content because there's variety.
i began watching due to stardew valley, but i think the transition away from it was handled well and i've loved your new content since. keep it up, with or without stardew‼️
Been watching Sean's growth over the past few years and nothing he said here surprised me. I will say, I personally enjoyed his chainsaw vid and his other wacky ideas! (Still waiting for another floor is lava installment, jk) Sean really seems like he's thriving in his new direction, and I love that for him!
I have months of not playing SDV and when I come back to it I hyperfixiate for a while until I don't anymore. But when I do, I rewatch most of your sdv vids while playing and then when I'm not, I watch the other videos. Either way is a win-win.
Love and respect to you, Seanie. I'm a SDV fan, but I like other games, and I like watching videos about games I'm interested in, but will never play. You got to go with your interests; the audience will follow.
I see stardew as minecraft. I have a "phase" and then I'm just so full of it I can't take any more. Maybe that's why it was only this year I finished my first and only farm (reached perfection and got bored) with like....2 year gap and it took a 2 week phase where I gained like 100 hours(no joke lol) So super valid, Seanie!
Writing before i watched, but i just assumed it was burnout. i wasn't really surprised to notice you stopped uploading stardew. there is only so much content you can make Edit: called it word for word
I started watching a couple years ago while hyper focused on Stardew, I have loved your change into other games. You’ve introduced me to so many new fun games that I love! I’m playing grounded because I saw how much fun you had with it and my UA-cam wrapped was almost all you 😅
When I first installed Stardew, I was HOOKED and I mean completely ADDICTED playing for 14 hours in a day or something but then I got red dead redemption and stuff and I was hooked to those, after I got perfection I just got bored, decorated my farm house, farm and ginger island home, in total I had 150+ hours on it
I cycle between 5-6 games at a time, and that cycle might last months or years. I never want to play a game so much that I get burnt out or hate it, and I don’t want that for anyone. Your favorite games are precious and losing them is criminal. I’ve loved your 100% videos on different games; they’ve been genuinely entertaining, especially on games I’ve never seen before. Subnautica, Terraria, Minecraft and Bendy and the Ink Machine are all fantastic 100%ing journeys, if you like that style of game.
Honestly brotha, Im happy for you. Just like this other UA-camr I watch PrivateLime, I love seeing how happy he is whenever he's NOT playing Project Zomboid. He's mainly known for PZ content, but I honestly think his variety videos are so filled with excitement, just like how he was with his early PZ content. I hope you're happy with the new format bro, I'll continue watching you whilst I eat ramen at 3AM.
I miss your Stardew videos but after 1000 hours myself, I was sick of playing the game, and it's still probably my favorite game I ever played. I can't believe how it feels as a content creator to continually need to make videos in a game that has a pretty set progression path. Love the new videos!
You were such a huge inspiration for me to start doing Stardew content and now you're also an inspiration of how you can change contents and still work out Congrats for the amazing content and I hope you continue to grow!
I really enjoy the new 100 percent videos! I think the best type of content is the content which the creator enjoys making. So i’m very glad you made this shift to your channel!
Also, I really like the long form content, respectfully it’s something really nice to fall asleep to or watch almost as like a series when I have the time to.
Never forget: you are the man that you sre today due to the intense character development clayfarming has put you through. (Your videos are very fun to watch and although I came for stardew, I stayed for the personality. It is wonderful to see how you've been thriving and how much fun you seem to have with the path you're waking right now
I've never been much into stardew valley as a game but when I stumbled upon ur content 2 years ago I really loved your energy and wit. I still rewatch some of ur stardew valley content purely bcs of you and the format but I've also been enjoying your 100% vids, I'm happy to see they're well received. Never stop being you I guess lol
I only started watching you within the last year and you quickly became one of my favorite gaming channels. I love the diversity of the games you pick and I'm so glad you decided to switch things up in your content!
I've been around since the 5,000 subs. Seanie has grown so much. Its so cool to watch the old stardew videos and the 100% videos are so good. As a person slowly going blind its so funny to listen to seanie losing it over something I do too 😂
i started playing stardew valley 6 months ago and was enthralled with your catalogue of stardew videos as i played. always learning new things while enjoying your content. throughout the past months of watching, i only noticed recently that you havent actually uploaded anything new for it. thats to say that you for sure have uploaded A TON of content that is timeless. now that i've slowed down playing stardew myself, it is very nice to watch newly released video from you as i've come to like you as a creator. thank you seanie for all your past and future content
You seem so happy doing the 100% videos and it's so nice to see! Getting burned out on a game is completely understandable and normal. I watch your videos because you're funny and that shows through best when you enjoy yourself! Keep up the great work. 😊
I'm glad you branched out, because I would never have found you otherwise! I love your 100% series a lot, and now that I know the Stardew videos are there I guess I have a lot of backlog content to watch 😂 Can't wait to see more, and where you go next!
I think one of the best things is watching how people grow and find new interests/goals. I love Stardew and I always loved your Stardew videos, but I was so excited for you and to watch your 100% videos, especially as I have also been getting a lot more interested in 100%-ing games. I felt like it was a really natural shift, and you ending your Stardew era by getting all achievements kind of smoothly transitioned into the new era, and I thought that was super neat! My biggest hope for you when it comes to Stardew is that you can play 1.6 in your own in your own time and enjoy it casually. And my biggest hope for your channel is that you continue making the videos that satisfy you and allow you to thrive. Because honestly, at least from my perspective, those are the best kinds of videos! (And I definitely agree on rougelikes. I remember thinking one time that you'd probably like Slay the Spire, but even in my initial comment I wasn't even sure how good of a 100% video it would be. Definitely another game to play (or play the sequel, since you completed the first) in your own time for your own enjoyment! Not everything has to be for content, you deserve to chill and play games just because you want to too!)
13:13 this man seriously undermines what he thinks is interesting to us. We’d watch him watch paint try, we just love the character. I say release them 13 hour long tapes to the masses.
Honestly your 100% content has been awesome. I think anyone who can play one game for ever is just- goated. Even with my specific hyperfixations, i rotate them! I play SDV for a few months, then minecraft, then ACNH, with random ones in between. I just wanna see you have fun honestly and i hope SDV brings that for u again someday, even if just something to play personally instead of for content :)
As someone who found you during the peak of the stardew vids (thanks to zhe who should not be named) I think I miss the collabs the most, like you and Lees videos where you dress up are some of my favourites but I completely understand the shift you made and you’ve been putting out consistently amazing content for years! You work extremely hard, put in longer shifts than 9-5s and while I’m not the most skilled gamer but like achievements, it’s really fun to see different games and be like ‘okay yeah that game looks cool I could try that’ or ‘god this is fun to watch but I’d hate to play it’ and I’m just excited to be along for the ride. Keep doing what brings you joy and makes you feel good! While the long ass days do make me a little concerned you’ll get burnt out (I sure would be) if it makes you happy then it’ll (imo) always bring good content. Good luck mate! Keen for what’s to come!
@@jarlbreadmaker if you imagine what drama most disgraced UA-camrs were part of before being shunned, you can probably guess why the group of Stardew creators is largely disbanded
Honestly, respect. I'm 100%ing casually, and I gotta say, the _Junimo Kart_ 50k points challenge from Mister Qi is slowly killing me. When I finally beat it, I think I might need to take a break from SDV, too, at least for a few months. Burnout is real, and I'm glad you're aware of your mental health enough to be able to step back and say enough when it's enough. 🖤
I gasped and instantly clicked when I saw the video, gasped even more after seeing my comment had made the video. Thank you for letting us know and looking forward to see what you have planned this year 🥰🥰
Stardew certainly was an era i will miss but its much nicer seeing you happy playing other games than burnt out playing the same one. thank you for addressing it
I watched a lot of Stardew valley UA-cams who have moved on and a lot of them who are still making SDV content. I'm like, do what you want to do and be happy. Glad you are still doing well.
Totally understand wanting to expand your horizons, even if im not a content creator I still get burt out on playing the same game over and over again, nevermind if playing that game was my job! I will say that I really love your 100% videos on different games but really I'm down to watch whatever so long as your actually enjoying yourself
i'm glad you've been able to branch out and make videos that are more enjoyable for you to create! ❤ grateful to your sdv content that led me to your channel but happier to see you doing what's best for you ☺️ hope you enjoy the 1.6 update on your own time whenever you're excited for it
One of my favorite Stardew videos were of the late 2021 - mid 2022 era. This was when the modern content creator community really seemed to start growing. My personal favorites were the videos where multiple creators collabed in a game show. Especially the ones that were hosted by UnsurpassableZ. He seemed to have really interesting ideas that were not previously explored. Unfortunate how things ended with his channel and community. Always loved seeing my other favorite creators appear in the collab videos.
your stardew era will forever be iconic :) but it was totally and immediately understandable. and i've really enjoyed your newer content i can tell you're having so much more fun. happy 2025 seanie!
first video of yours Ive seen, but it makes me happy when creators are able to get to a point in their channel to pivot into variety. Im glad you were able to reach that point! much love 🖤
thanks for uploading this video!!! i discovered your content in the past year and i quickly got addicted to your stardew speedrun videos and was hoping for more. I really learnt a lot about stardew from your videos. Plus, i never thought that i would be interested in speedrunning, but your videos gave me an appreciation for the genre. for what you said about there being an "intelligence barrier" in the speedrunning community, what i really liked about your videos is how down to earth you were. You never pretended to be an expert, but you gave an honest effort to every challenge. It made it really easy to root for you (and also got several laughs when something would go wrong). All of this to say: if and when you return to stardew speedruns, i will welcome it with open arms and thank you for the many great videos you have already posted. But i *really* do like the 100% series. I keep my eyes peeled for every new upload. I'm happy that if you are changing content that it is in this direction. Keep up the great work.
honestly I love stardew valley and whenever i get back into it, i love watching your videos, but im really glad you pivoted! it reconnected me to your channel and your recent stuff have been great
as perhaps one of the rare few who doesn't care for stardew or videos about it, i'm glad you branched out because i love your videos and i probably wouldn't have found the channel if it was just stardew.
I loved seeing your transition from Stardew to other games. The way you moved to other games that I would’ve never played, but watched because I already liked your content, has opened my eyes to new games. Excited for the future!
I love stardew valley and found you through your stardew content but I am so excited every time you drop a new 2 hour 100% of a game I’ve never heard of. The new videos are so good seanie.
as someone who has made a career out of one of my passions (music therapist) I completely understand the burn out with doing something you love for living. it’s so hard, and I know it’s a little different, but this is your job! you deserve a break and to make the content YOU want, and have fun while doing it!
So happy for you that you're able to do something entirely different than what you became famous for and it works out great man. I love watching your current videos just cuz I really enjoy watching you, even if it's about a game I wouldn't be that interested in otherwise, keep it up Seanie!
I don’t feel like you made every possible video for Stardew Valley, but I understand that you are burnt out in the 1.6 added a lot, but not enough to play the game again and I feel the same way. I’m burnt out on it too. I haven’t even played Stardew Valley in a year.
I started a new job right when 1.6 came out and couldn't play anymore, but I work so fast with your 100% videos in the background, so thanks for catering to my exact personal situation 😁
I found you during your Stardew phase, and your streams and modded challenges were so fun and still have a special place on my youtube favorites playlist. I also really appreciate your 100% videos because they aren't the kind of games I would actually play myself, so you're giving me the full experience plus your humorous commentary. I'm glad to see you making the videos that you want to make, and that you keep sharing them with us. Thanks, Seanie!
I found you back in the Stardew days and am loving the longer, scripted content! It’s great to watch the first time and then use it to fall asleep to. Honestly, just happy you’re happy with what you’re making nowadays. :)
Seanie is the reason I got back to sdv after 4 years of not playing, and now the reason I 100% many games I previously left because of boredom. It motivated me to complete Webbed, to 100% Man-eater, to play Spore again after 5 years of not playing, etc. I owe this guy a lot 😂
I, and many others from these comments, came for stardew and stuck around for YOU. I enjoy you as a creator regardless if you cover a game I know, play, or even like. Do what you like, that's when you're at your best!
I found you through your stardew content, but i honestly love your new content more!! You seem a lot happier and its so fun to see you 100% games. You made me actually want to 100% my games instead of playing undertale over and over again. We're all glad youre doing what makes you happy
I'm just happy to hear that we will eventually get a bunch of isaac content from seanie, and i'm happy he's doing whatever he enjoys doing and avoiding burnout 👍
Being able to break away from a niche and take your channel in new directions is an almost impossible task and it's seriously something to celebrate. Without constant updates or just new things to talk about you were bound to be burned out eventually. I'm glad the site didn't break your soul and you've found success doing other things!
This. This comment made me understand the situation and probably even empathise more on the comment. I just started playing Stardew Valley, like two months in, and I'm so so hooked. Day and night, I'm planning what to do to min-max my gameplay and it's hard to empathise since I've not yet gone to the stage of burnout. However, seeing your comment made me relate all this with Terraria (heyyo Chippy, hope you're fine and well). I've done almost everything in Terraria and it's just nothing there to do, nothing new to do now. I feel burnt out but I still love Terraria to death. It's like that one Danny DeVito meme; Oh, my god. I get it.
I love your new content more! You're making great videos Seanie! It's always more enjoyable to watch when UA-camrs are having fun. I personally play games till I get board then I'll randomly get a craving to play them again sometimes even years later.
honestly with the roguelikes thing, just the entire experience of the run is personally really entertaining for me to watch! Do whatever content you enjoy the most
i came for the stardew and i stayed for seanie. i love ur videos and im so glad ur exploring new games and branches genuinely so excited to see what else is in store in the new year
It's definitely something that can get old quickly when you're trying to do everything all the time if that makes sense, this was bound to happen and honestly, I'm a little happy it did because the way your channel has grown has been even better, change is necessary for survival on UA-cam after all and I can't wait to see what else is next
As much as I loved your Stardew videos as it's what brought me here way back when you only had 30k on the main channel, I have also gotten burnt out on Stardew after I did perfection in 1.5. So I haven't played much 1.6 either, especially since I've gotten older and even started going to college which has restricted my time. I love the new style of videos, your 100% on slime rancher actually got me to buy the game! And if I ever miss your Stardew content, I know there's a MASSIVE backlog of videos I can go back to. Thank you SeanieDew, for everything.
Love your content and humor no matter what Seanie! I’ve been binging your 100% videos and I’m addicted. I still love to go back and watch the sdv stuff too tho, especially while I’m playing it myself
I never wanted an explanation video but thank you for making one! I started watching your channel because of Stardew and this video shows that you're loyal to your fan base. I love that you're having fun with new games! When you started branching out to "Don't Starve" the commentary was amazing! I never knew you could build a galarctic empire in "Spore" with turned out lame. Lol. Anyway thanks for playing so many games to perfection. You're just fun to watch!
mad respect. I have been around since the stardew days but love the new variety of content. I get the burnout, i have about 500 hours in phasmo and it used to be my favorite game by far and now i am so burnt out, i used to do every weekly challenge and it used to be my most streamed game but now, i basically only play for holiday events and updates now, and even may stop those soon. I like the style of 100% videos, something i can have on while i crochet and not have to stop every five minutes to choose a new video.
Appreciate this video only because I miss your personality in stardew content! But I get it. I haven't played in a few months just from casual play. Appreciate all you do! I wasn't sure about the new content, but you're so many funny, I've found new games this way!!
Dear Seanie, This is it then. I'm one of the viewers who found you through SDV & who found SDV through you. Even though the shift of your content was obvious, I still didn't accept you leaving. Therefore, I highly appreciate the closure you're providing with this video. I understand and I'm happy for you. Thank you for all the great content in my stardew journey 💚 & I'm looking forward to the nostalgia, when seeing you in another creators community video in a few years 😉
Seanie you were the first person i had ever watched on Stardew valley and being someone who had never even heard about it was madly interested in how you played. You are the reason I started playing stardew valley and as much as I would love to see you do another 100 days or haboo rouge like mod I’m so happy for you to find new games. I love each one and have made me realize that many games that I thought were boring or bad are amazing I have gotten at least 4 of your 100% games and hope you make it more in 2025 have a great year!❤️
Seeing someone that I've always considered to be a pro and one of the main creators I watch play stardew it's so nice to hear someone talk about game burn out. I Will watch something for so long, draw something for so long, play something for so long that it's just too much, most of my life is just me being so active on one topic for a week and then my interests shift. It's nice hearing someone else talk about how even if they still love what they did they just can't do it anymore without it draining you. Spore (which I love that 100% video), Wolfquest, Hollow knight, inscription (one of the few games I've 100%), Minecraft, and even stardew are all games that I LOVE but just get tired of.
I do love your Stardew videos- that's how I found you. But I also love your other stuff because it introduces me to new games that I might enjoy. It's good to explore other avenues! And if you're inspired by your work and the content you're making, I feel like people will gravitate towards that. Excited for the videos you put out this year!
I don't play stardew for content but I've been doing a perfection run and even I'm already starting to lose steam i can't imagine what having to make just stardew content and only that would be like. Also seanie dew "10 hours of silence in raft while I farms copper interspersed with me getting attacked by a shark video" when
i watched all of the stardew content, but i also love 100 days and 100% videos, so i kept watching and i got my partner into watching those videos too. he wouldnt have watched this channel before that, cuz he's not very interested in stardew. i personally love that your channel has so much variety now.
I just want to tell you personally that you aren’t vain for wanting to reach out to other communities. You’re a videogame UA-camr just making his way and trying to support yourself. It’s the natural course of progression. You’re doing something I’m personally scared to do and hardcore respect you for. On my alt channel I’m a variety videogame channel from the start specifically because I’m scared of the hate if I get too far into my current favourite game and then move on to want to play something else in a few months. Good luck to you. I’m still with you and I hope you succeed! (Also just not having interest in a game either currently or indefinitely, whichever it may be for any game, is a perfectly fine reason to just not make any more content on it. I just really wanted to stress the other part.)
that's cool i guess, but can you start uploading daily balatro runs

You were such a huge inspiration for me to start doing Stardew content and now you're also an inspiration of how you can change contents and still work out
Congrats for the amazing content and I hope you continue to grow!
I really enjoy the new 100 percent videos! I think the best type of content is the content which the creator enjoys making. So i’m very glad you made this shift to your channel!
Also, I really like the long form content, respectfully it’s something really nice to fall asleep to or watch almost as like a series when I have the time to.
@@lolhehe4949i sleep to seanie all the time he speaks so fast and so consistent it’s great
Never forget: you are the man that you sre today due to the intense character development clayfarming has put you through.
It's okay Seanie! Play what you like
Honestly your 100% content has been awesome.
What happened with the one who should not be named? I missed all of it cause I only distantly actually followed a lot of Stardew people.
Understandable seanie. I hope you’re doing well and enjoying the expand on your content, I’ll watch no matter what just bc I like your content
I miss your stardew content but i love that you are able to expand your channel and are still here ❤
I absolutely ove your new content. Stardew drew me to you, but you will never lose me with your new content! Keep up the good work!!!!
i'm glad you've been able to branch out and make videos that are more enjoyable for you to create! ❤ grateful to your sdv content that led me to your channel but happier to see you doing what's best for you ☺️ hope you enjoy the 1.6 update on your own time whenever you're excited for it
Thank you Seanie! I'm happy that you will continue to make content and look forward to what you release in 2025.
i LOVE watching the other games and your scripts are always SO well written!! you seem to be thriving so keep doing what you love to do
One of my favorite Stardew videos were of the late 2021 - mid 2022 era.
I absolutely love your new style of content and I want you to be happy with what you’re doing so I support this 100%
We love you seanie. I enjoy going back to your sdv videos, but whatever you want to do in the future, well be there :)
honestly I love stardew valley and whenever i get back into it, i love watching your videos, but im really glad you pivoted! it reconnected me to your channel and your recent stuff have been great
I am honestly so glad you branched out. i adore your 100% videos as i also like 100%ing games and your content has definitely gotten better
as perhaps one of the rare few who doesn't care for stardew or videos about it, i'm glad you branched out because i love your videos and i probably wouldn't have found the channel if it was just stardew.
I loved seeing your transition from Stardew to other games. The way you moved to other games that I would’ve never played, but watched because I already liked your content, has opened my eyes to new games. Excited for the future!
I’m glad you’re spreading your horizon to games! You sound much more animated and happy recently too :3
I love stardew valley and found you through your stardew content but I am so excited every time you drop a new 2 hour 100% of a game I’ve never heard of.
I love watching your current videos just cuz I really enjoy watching you, even if it's about a game I wouldn't be that interested in otherwise, keep it up Seanie!
love you seannie!! thanks for taking the time to explain it
I don’t feel like you made every possible video for Stardew Valley, but I understand that you are burnt out in the 1.6 added a lot, but not enough to play the game again and I feel the same way. I’m burnt out on it too. I haven’t even played Stardew Valley in a year.
I personally have the most fun watching a video when the person making it had fun. I'm glad you've found a niche that's fun for you ^^
I really like your 100% videos!! You’re having fun (and sometimes suffer) and it shows!
I loved your Stardew videos, but I love your new videos too, just do what makes you happy
happy to have found you through stardew, equally as happy to find new other games through you. come for the sdv stay for the seanie
Discovered you during the Stardew era but the transition was so seamless and the 100% content scratches my brain. I love the variety!
I'm just happy to hear that we will eventually get a bunch of isaac content from seanie, and i'm happy he's doing whatever he enjoys doing and avoiding burnout 👍
I played do much stardew valley that I got burnt out for like a year and I still very slightly am
Honestly, I love your new content and even if I’m missing your Stardew content, I can go watch your old videos.
Love your videos! Make content that makes you happy!!!
As someone who only came on after your switch to 100% videos, I love your channel so keep doing what gives you that creative release
i love love love your moonstone island video. i could see it was the start of a new era for you and it was incredibly well done
mad respect.
Dear Seanie,
This is it then.
Spore (which I love that 100% video), Wolfquest, Hollow knight, inscription (one of the few games I've 100%), Minecraft, and even stardew are all games that I LOVE but just get tired of.
reminds me of when DangeoruslyFunny quit stardew
rest in peace seanie the stardew legend
I do love your Stardew videos- that's how I found you. But I also love your other stuff because it introduces me to new games that I might enjoy. It's good to explore other avenues! And if you're inspired by your work and the content you're making, I feel like people will gravitate towards that. Excited for the videos you put out this year!
I don't play stardew for content but I've been doing a perfection run and even I'm already starting to lose steam i can't imagine what having to make just stardew content and only that would be like. Also seanie dew "10 hours of silence in raft while I farms copper interspersed with me getting attacked by a shark video" when
I came for the Stardew content and stayed for you. I enjoy your personality and drive to play and complete games to their fullest.
Love both your old and new content
very excited for ur next uploads
i watched all of the stardew content, but i also love 100 days and 100% videos, so i kept watching and i got my partner into watching those videos too. he wouldnt have watched this channel before that, cuz he's not very interested in stardew.
i personally love that your channel has so much variety now.
All of these reasons are why I haven't tried streaming the game myself. You gotta enjoy what you're doing as a content creator. I respect it Seanie 🤙
Will follow you on your adventure and glad to see you thrive ❤ you’ve got this Seanie 🔥💪 You do You ❤☺️
