I'm over all the idiots who hear 10% Hetfield in his vocals and think that Orbit Culture is a Metallica/Gojira rip off.
Dude has similar sounding vocals when he chooses too but in truth he has WAY more range and diversity. This doesn't mean he is better, he is simply different.
IMO Orbit Culture reminds me of Fear Factory/Metallica/Meshuggah. They took the heaviness from Meshuggah, the sick growls and metallic sound to their guitars from Fear Factory and laced a few moments with Metallica style grooves and vocals. The main difference is that this shit sounds not only fresh but passionate. Most of the big bands these days have no passion or drive to grow. I can see these cunts pushing their sound and style beyond any other metal melodic band on the planet... which depends on whether Soilwork continues to release hard rock or bring back the biff.

@@Audard The Hetfield comparison is there because it's easy and self-admitted. The Explorer, the voice and even the Hetfield stance. I don't feel like anyone makes the comparison in an ill way. Personally, I've always thought that Hetfield's vocal style would work with growls, and Niklas is the man who has completed it.
Not a lot of artists get compared to Metallica/James Hetfield, it's a compliment.
@@Audard agreed. Niklas Karlsson can make the band sound like metallica or testament or gojira because he is that fucking talented. Everybody has their influences but in no way is Orbit Culture a ripoff of anything. OC is taking what is, addind their own creativity and vision to that and taking metal to the next level, period. :D

I've heard the disturbed type vocals in some of their other songs. His cleaner vocals are definitely hetfield tho

Ok. The boy needs a new pair of headphones because there is absolutely nothing about Disturbed in this band. Now, I didn't see what Penquins jersey it was BUT if they know their hockey and their Metallica then it can only be a Jaromir Jagr jersey. The guy is a huge Metallica fan.

Yeah its like they got a good drummer and a vocalist that are possessed by lucifer himself .Fellow swedes , check out other swede metal band firespawn and the track abominate L.G.petrov from entombed that sings in firespawn are my favorite death metal vocalist .
@@APREACTS Yeah but Metallicas best records was Justice for all and Master of puppets , and Ride the lightning second After black album it was never the same , the only ones that have progressed are Kirk and Robert . Opinions are personal i agree but shit is always shit it never smells good. ;) its not political correct to say that but still true . Orbit made this song on levels above with vocal range and pure raw power double bass bulldozing.James voice with his alcoholism and Lars just getting worse are not a good combo . Just saying ...

That is my friend that are guitarist in that band . Meshuggah ,Goijira , Behemoth , Trivium, Old metallica are the influences they have and i agree. Hypocrisy are very very heavy and good i love them but my other friends that are singer Tommy and also the lead guitarist and song writer Zeb in the band Aeon they are more brutal than hypocrisy . Firespawn Entombed and Orbit are on top with Meshuggah and Amon amarth they are my favorite fellow swede bands

@@brandishtheblade No it doesn't. This sucks compared to the original. I can't stand that modern guitar/drum sound, and the guy is not as good a vocalist as James. And he completely sings this song without attitude. This song at it's heart is pretty much a punk song inspired by Jame's love for GBH and Discharge, and James brings the punk attitude to this song. This guy brings none of that attitude..
@@brandishtheblade Thanks for pointing out that Metallica is a metal band...I wouldn't have known that otherwise. Oh wait, it's even in their name....how did I never see that before? But the song is very punk inspired. Even the title to the song "Spit Out the Bone" is taken from the lyrics to a GBH songs. Most thrash metal is punk inspired. Even Overkill have a huge punk edge/attitude to them. I couldn't even finish this version. James sings this song with conviction, this guy does a karaoke version without conviction. The guitars and drum sound is everything that is wrong with a lot of modern metal. It's soulless, and it sounds like samples just taken from a laptop and spliced together.
@@brandishtheblade Anyways I'm not going to defend the original version as being awesome itself....because it isn't. It's the poor man's Damage Inc. And honestly I probably stopped listening to Hardwired album a couple months after release and just went back to their first 4 albums again, but I do like 8 songs on the album...sadly they're surrounds by 8 songs I don't care for so it's doesn't inspire repeat listens. But I think Hardwired is the best album since The Black album, which I honestly never listen to neither. I however really like the production on the album, especially after the shitty production of Death Magnetic. I just really hate how a lot of modern metal bands are going for the perfect pro tools production. I can't listen to it. Watch Rick Beato's video "How Computers Ruined Rock".
@@brandishtheblade mate you need to put your 80s glasses down and actually open your ears without the locked in opinion. Last 2 albums have some great songs but unfortunately the 80s hair fans might struggle to move forward
This version is great but the solo was my main complaint just isn't kirk and the tone stays the same the whole time
