Still trying to figure out the applicability of much of Todd's advise for existing clubs with a specific focus; e.g., on a particular country or particular era. One of the actions I've found critical for volunteer organizations is to make sure the "work" (or roles) are distributed across multiple members. If one person does everything / most everything, it becomes easier for other members to get bored / lose interest.
Thanks for an interesting and great presentation by Todd. I would like to start to incorporate some of the ideas in our local stamp club, but have a few questions and need some advice about e.g. hardware, set up of a camera/cell phone for taking a video of a presentation, virtual meeting etc. May I email Todd, and get an email address for him, or should I contact him through the Greater Boston Philatelic Society? Or, Todd, could you possibly direct me to a site/person/digital resource that can help me with these types of questions?
Todd offers an excellent blueprint for improvements to the hobby or for starting from scratch.
