- Elīna Garanča sings an excerpt from Marguerite’s Act IV aria in the final dress rehearsal. Conductor: Edward Gardner. 2019-20 season. Videography by Pete Scalzitti / Met Opera
Elina is absolutely a treasure and so amazing to listen to!! What a treat for us!!
Lisette Oropesa She certainly is! And so are you! Loved your Manon.
3 catégories de personnes adorent par dessus tout Elina les autres cantatrices :) :) les jeunes chanteuses au conservatoire et les chefs d'orchestre amoureux de beaux sons :) :)
I agree with you. 💖a complete happiness to listen to her😍
isn’t she just the most beautiful thing on earth?
Wednesday night front and center! Can’t wait! Coming all the way from Oregon and now broke but it’ll be soooo worth it to see and hear this fantastic mezzo!
How was it!?
Ange adoré dont la céleste voix illumine mon cœur !
She is beautiful and her singing is amazing .... thank you.
Sooooo beautiful!!! 😍❤️❤️❤️
what a beauty! could you post the whole video of this aria please😍
Met Opera
It would indeed be so great if you posted the full aria🙏🏼
From the other side of the world, my heart aches to experience this artistry live
Beautiful! Can’t wait to hear it on feb 8th
Muchas gracias por compartir estás bellezas.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Splendidly solid singing by one of the most sumptuous timbres of mezzo that I have ever heard. It's a shame this great moment of operatic singing wasn't recorded in its entirety.
It probably was. They just didn't release it all. They'll probably make the whole performance available on the Met in Demand as they usually do.
I love this voice. Gorgeous.
Beautiful all around.
Браво, кроме таланта Гаранча еще и большая трудяга, я так думаю ,дай Бог ей здоровья и бесконечной жизни.
Cudownie.
Thank you.
Beautiful
Simplesmente fantástico 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Божественный дар!
Magnifica Elina!!
Diva ❤️❤️
Love watching the expressions in the chorus. Most of them seem to be enjoying themselves-- except for that one dude. >_>
Excelente
Gorgeous
❤️
The real alto. Perfect👋.
Brava Elina
Bellissima potente voce.
Is this a concert version?
Yes it is
It is and that's how it should be. The Lepage production with its silly finale of Marguerite going up the ladder was more a circus act than an opera.
@@georgesclermont1911 I'll take your word for it. Trust me you haven't seen anything as bad as some of the Atlanta Opera productions.
From the moment I saw her in Carmen I have been in love with Ms Garanca. She combines beauty, acting and voice, all to the max. That's what opera is all about and that's what makes it credible. The 200 pounders may have great voices but lack all credibility.
Brīnišķīga!
Elina, immer mehr Belle ...........,..
What happened to the production?
Soprano .
참 우아하구나~
Garanca is of course a great artist. But doesn’t the Met have a beautiful production somewhere? I recall Susan Graham in a fantastic telecast. While I’m at it, Berlioz is often underrated - he is one of the true masters. If you’re able to let yourself go, you are swept along to another time and place, and that’s not something every composer can do.
The production was planned but technical difficulties made it impossible to do according to the Met website, it will be shown in concert form instead of the full production
@@Richardflo15 Wow I wonder what happened
Website says -
The decision to present La Damnation de Faust in its more usual concert version is driven by the unanticipated technical demands of reviving the Met’s staged production, which proved to be impossible to accommodate within the company’s production schedule.
Why just the bleeding chunk? Anátema su voi!
it’s a GIRL… innocent… not a woman at best age ❤
I love your voice and art, but this is too much. Just go back and take a look at the REAL meaning of Gretchen and that what she is saying ❤
