Zoro's Armament Haki was definitely stronger than Luffy's immediately out the Timeskip. -in Punk Hazard, Luffy failed to damage the Dragon in Gear 2nd (656 Page 5), in which he needed to avoid the scales and hit the softer under side (656 Page 8) whereas Zoro chopped off its entire head with one sword. (656 Page 14). Zoro's also physically holding the Dragon off, whereas Luffy got sent flying earlier. Later Zoro is just chilling against an even fiercer dragon which took a combination from Nami, Usopp Brook and Kinemon to take down (682 Pages 12-17) -Luffy also failed to fully get through Monet's snow defenses on several occasions (681 Page 11, 683 Page 3 he admits he can smash the dome but on Page 5 he opts to break the floor instead of the dome) whereas Zoro cut through Snow Wall quite easily, which was meant to prevent people from escaping (686 pages 10 and 13) *We have Dressrosa Zoro literally making Fujitora shiver which is interesting. I don't count it as a strength feat, moreso his demeanor is always likened to that of a Demon or a wild animal. -We have Wano Zoro stalemating Denjiro, (Chapter 944 Pages 4, 9. 945 Page 4) who's a scabbard and relative to the other Scabbards, who are all at least YC3 level. Luffy and Zoro are relatively the same strength. That's been since the beginning of the story. It won't change. Zoro is Luffy's counter to his DF like Akainu is to Aokiji. So Zoro and Luffy would probably stalemate like they did in Whiskey Peak. That was Oda showing what a fight between them two would be like.
I feel like people are misunderstanding haki, there are only 2 types of haki, that is haki and conquerors haki. Armament and observation are applications of haki and not a separate haki, conqueror's haki could be a different haki since not everyone can use it even tough they can use the regular applications. Enma is a regular sword if your not infusing haki and when you start using haki she starts absorbing too much without your consent, enma doesnt have any special ability besides giving kaido ptsd. That means zoro using a conquerors infused atack like 9 swords style asura as nothing to do with enma
The thing about luffy playing with his opponents is a yonko thing. If they think you're strong but not dangerous, they'll beat you up. But, if you're dangerous, they'll put you down.
I think Admiral level is high balling him tbh, he's stronger than all the first commanders with scalable feats (Beckmann is likely stronger than Zoro at this point but he has no feats, I think Zoro will have to surpass beckman when Luffy surpasses shanks which is why I think Beckmann is currently stronger). I think Zoro is at a level in between the 1st commanders and the new gen admirals (what some would refer as YC+ level) which is fair considering they aren't really close enough in power to be one tier apart, for Zoro to be admiral level I think he needs better control over his advanced conquoror's and be able to use it for longer + have future sight I think he's capable rn of a mid diff or maybe even a high diff against the new gen admirals but with some power ups he can reach their level, greenbull did have a sorry showing in wano but tbf he probaly knew shanks was too much for him so he backed off but he wouldn't be an admiral if he wasn't significantly above the 1st commanders (although I still hate him as a character). Although assuming Zoro has to have an all out fight against Greenbull or more likely Fujitora before getting any major power ups it's likely he could get some haki blooms and find a way of winning as Zoro is known for powering up when he reaches his limits against an opponent much like Luffy. Tbh I don't really think he stands a chance against the old gen admirals rn although he could stall them for a bit if he needed to.
Just wanted to add a thing, i think we should see Fujitora lose to Mihawk. Fujitora was never really with the WG so it wouldnt make sense for him to fight for their agenda in the final war against the strawhat pirates who he grew to know and respect. However he probably wont join a pirate alliance to fight the government either. He always was about hunting pirates also. After all he only became an admiral to take down the shishibukai so right now it would make perfect sense for him to go after Crossguild since those are exactly those pirates he was trying to take down in the first place. And if he does attack them it would obviously be Mihawks job to fight him, who else could? We never saw Mihawk fight a high level opponent either, we are just told by others how amazing he is supposed to be but we never really saw him show that. Best we actually got was him cutting an iceberg and scrapping with Vista at Marineford and i dont think thats enough of a power display for what is supposed to be Zoros big final goal. I think him beating Fujitora and we actually seeing it happen would be perfect for that. And thematically it might also be interesting since Mihawk refuses to fight Shanks because of the lost arm so what will he have to say about a blind swordsman? Anyway i just think that would be a super cool fight and Fujitora is kinda too strong to randomly join either side right now so i think this would be a satisfying way to get him out of the final conflict.

3:45 we know that zoro armament haki was stronger than luffy out of the timeskip. Chapter 194-Zoro master explains what is needed to cut steel here zoro uses ryou to cut it. We know he used ryou because of what we learned in wano. Chapter 939 hyogoro explains to luffy that the power that he is trying to learn is the same power that swordsmen use to cut steel or not cut paper. This confirms what zoro used vs Mr 1 was ryou. Zoro was doing what luffy learned on wano since the timeskip and we know he can cut steel after the timeskip. Therefore Zoro armament haki is superior to luffy armament haki out of the timeskip and id say once luffy mastered internal destruction that is possibly when he surpassed Zoro.
I'm one of those who thinks Zoro is actually going to be stronger than Luffy, if he isn't already. People are getting carried away because of Luffy's DF powers, but...haki transcends all. And I think Zoro is going to be the master of haki.

Zoro hasnt, as well as the fact that there are forms of haki luffy has mastery over that zoro doesnt. Future sight, ryou. Etc. you put all this together and add in the fact that luffy is much faster than zoro in base and you get an outcome that makes a bit of sense when you look at the matchup.
Great video! Zoro was really him one shotting nearly every opponent and doing the best besides luffy against hybrid Kaido and people think Kidd is on his level... And technically if Zoro wasn’t facing an existential crisis against King he pretty much one shot him. He wasn’t use to the new sword and was coming to terms with his newly formed conquerors. Zoro doesn't 1-shot opponents because he's "stronger", he one shots because he's using a blade. Try taking a slash or getting stabbed, and see how long you stay conscious when you're losing a ton of blood instantaneously. There's a difference between taking a punch and a difference between being cut down. It's a matter of lethality, not strength. Kamazo/Killer also 1 shot Zoro when he hit him. Does that make Kamazo a one-shot king? No, he's using a blade... Nor is Killer stronger than Zoro, it's just that's what happens when you get cut... you lose blood and you easily get "one-shot". There's a higher chance of killing or deleting your opponent no matter how weak you are as long as you cut your opponent. Zoro is obviously strong enough to be a commander, but in no way is he yet as powerful as an Admiral, but y'all got to distinguish that anyone using a blade pretty much one-shots any opponent they cut down as long as the cut is deep enough which is especially difficult against persons like Big Mom or Kaido.
You say taking a punch like luffys punches are just regular. If you want to know pain get a kinetic rope on max stretch and have it come back at you, you won’t be moving off the ground anytime soon
This doesn’t work for the simple reason it’s an anime. Having a sword doesn’t make his attack any stronger or weaker than a punch necessarily. Luffy punching kaido was doing more than zoro’s slash on kaido

I still dont think that Zoro could beat Kizaru, Fujitora or Aokiji. Hes still a little bit below that and needs time to fully controll Conq. Haki and Enma! I mean that one kick from Kizaru which send Luffy flying and almost killed (yea i know from the Barrier) him even in G5, i really dont think Zoro would have survived that.

Ngl I think admiral level is a bit much, G4 Luffy couldn’t even make Kizaru take him seriously, he needed g5 to even compete with him no form of zoro is even near g5 level. If g4 was easy for Kizaru then it would probably put Luffy around the level of greenbull. And for Zoro to compete with g4 Luffy he’d need all his strongest forms and attacks.

We learned on the roof that ryou was enough to damage and fight against kaido but was ultimately to shallow. Luffy confirms this in 1010 but both luffy and zoro made kaido dodge respectively. And zoro permanently scars kaido my interpretation of that moment is that ashura is adv coc use, but this is a zoro who did not know what he was doing. Zoro then goes on to fight someone that ryou does not work against in king whose defense in flame on goes above kaido(the dragon) and the dinosaurs. When questioning kings ability to soak up damage he himself confirms his ability to do so goes above kaido and the dinosaurs. And yet when zoro unlocks adv coc in 1033 king then starts to dodge and block even with the flame on when before that he would tank and take advantage of Zoro attacks. This to me is proof that Zoro is indeed on yonko level he should without a doubt be able to fight against them. I would without a doubt say that kaido who tanked ashura would not want to let dragon damnation hit him it would do way more damage than 1010 ashura as not only does he know what he is doing but it has been confirmed that dragon damnation is the pinnacle of zoro swordsmanship to date, and that this technique is imbued with overwhelming haki,wielding unparalleled intimidating force and destructive power. So yea for me zoro is yonko, but i understand that this is probably an unpopular take. Also I have Zoro >yamato who could indeed hold off kaido… to me to say that Zoro couldn’t do this or more than Yamato simply seems like downplay on Zoro part.

crazy glaze tbh in his fight with Kaku Zoro was struggling until he pulled out Ashura. It wasn't a one shot when both had been fighting for a while and Kaku had the upper hand, it was an extreme diff fight. The other times he used Ashura was when he would lose the 1v1. Zoro also didn't equally clash with Fujitora, just like with Nusjuro Zoro ain't at admiral level yet. Fujitora was holding back and Nusjuro wasn't even focused on him. On Onigashima Big Mom was scared of the sword, not Zoro. She is scared of Enma and she could probably sense Oden's presence, although she didn't know who Oden was, later Zoro also reopened Oden's old scar, he wasn't strong enough to make a new one and Kaido was pretty much unfazed. Kaku and Lucci are fodder, definitely weaker than King. Lowkey tired of you saying "One shot", you're acting like Zoro wasn't clashing with Lucci earlier lol. Incorrect. Oden's haki had nothing to do with any of Zoro's attacks, Enma was using Zoro's haki at maximum output for a short time, meaning she was scared of how Zoro's haki was being used. Nusjuro was very much focused on Zoro when he blocked his attack. He clearly had the upper hand in his fight with Lucci, so he's closer to G5 than Lucci is. As for the Admirals, GB only retreated when he was clearly outnumbered, Fujitora has a supreme grade blade and could possibly give Mihawk a high diff fight. As for the pre timeskip fight with Kaku, that was high diff at most, mid diff at least. With the swords Kaku was close to Lucci's full strength. It's a shame he didn't take them to Egghead. Anyway, Zoro is at least strong enough overall that he should be able to give Kaido a few more scars.

In kizaru vs luffy we saw that luffy is admiral level for like 2 minutes and if you think base luffy without gear 5 is admiral level you re out of your mind. I liked the video because I respect your opinion. Butttttt. Zoro was in way worst shape then all his opponents and most of the time Luffy is too. The have the Goku disease but it's worst. Goku will heal himself most of the time or power up which is basically the same thing when he is hurt but these foods want to die fighting regardless so they go allllll out. Everybody kido fault was light work. chopper didn't develop the sensu bean yet so it's no way Luffy has yet to be full before a fight. No fight is ever after a feast. He always party first.

After all he only became an admiral to take down the shishibukai so right now it would make perfect sense for him to go after Crossguild since those are exactly those pirates he was trying to take down in the first place.
And if he does attack them it would obviously be Mihawks job to fight him, who else could? We never saw Mihawk fight a high level opponent either, we are just told by others how amazing he is supposed to be but we never really saw him show that. Best we actually got was him cutting an iceberg and scrapping with Vista at Marineford and i dont think thats enough of a power display for what is supposed to be Zoros big final goal. I think him beating Fujitora and we actually seeing it happen would be perfect for that. And thematically it might also be interesting since Mihawk refuses to fight Shanks because of the lost arm so what will he have to say about a blind swordsman?
Anyway i just think that would be a super cool fight and Fujitora is kinda too strong to randomly join either side right now so i think this would be a satisfying way to get him out of the final conflict.

Chapter 194-Zoro master explains what is needed to cut steel here zoro uses ryou to cut it. We know he used ryou because of what we learned in wano.
Chapter 939 hyogoro explains to luffy that the power that he is trying to learn is the same power that swordsmen use to cut steel or not cut paper. This confirms what zoro used vs Mr 1 was ryou.
Zoro was doing what luffy learned on wano since the timeskip and we know he can cut steel after the timeskip. Therefore Zoro armament haki is superior to luffy armament haki out of the timeskip and id say once luffy mastered internal destruction that is possibly when he surpassed Zoro.

I'm one of those who thinks Zoro is actually going to be stronger than Luffy, if he isn't already. People are getting carried away because of Luffy's DF powers, but...haki transcends all. And I think Zoro is going to be the master of haki.

Zoro hasnt, as well as the fact that there are forms of haki luffy has mastery over that zoro doesnt. Future sight, ryou. Etc. you put all this together and add in the fact that luffy is much faster than zoro in base and you get an outcome that makes a bit of sense when you look at the matchup.

Zoro was really him one shotting nearly every opponent and doing the best besides luffy against hybrid Kaido and people think Kidd is on his level... And technically if Zoro wasn’t facing an existential crisis against King he pretty much one shot him.

Try taking a slash or getting stabbed, and see how long you stay conscious when you're losing a ton of blood instantaneously.
There's a difference between taking a punch and a difference between being cut down. It's a matter of lethality, not strength. Kamazo/Killer also 1 shot Zoro when he hit him.
Does that make Kamazo a one-shot king? No, he's using a blade... Nor is Killer stronger than Zoro, it's just that's what happens when you get cut... you lose blood and you easily get "one-shot".
There's a higher chance of killing or deleting your opponent no matter how weak you are as long as you cut your opponent.
Zoro is obviously strong enough to be a commander, but in no way is he yet as powerful as an Admiral, but y'all got to distinguish that anyone using a blade pretty much one-shots any opponent they cut down as long as the cut is deep enough which is especially difficult against persons like Big Mom or Kaido.

Ngl I think admiral level is a bit much, G4 Luffy couldn’t even make Kizaru take him seriously, he needed g5 to even compete with him no form of zoro is even near g5 level. If g4 was easy for Kizaru then it would probably put Luffy around the level of greenbull. And for Zoro to compete with g4 Luffy he’d need all his strongest forms and attacks.

We learned on the roof that ryou was enough to damage and fight against kaido but was ultimately to shallow. Luffy confirms this in 1010 but both luffy and zoro made kaido dodge respectively. And zoro permanently scars kaido my interpretation of that moment is that ashura is adv coc use, but this is a zoro who did not know what he was doing.
Zoro then goes on to fight someone that ryou does not work against in king whose defense in flame on goes above kaido(the dragon) and the dinosaurs. When questioning kings ability to soak up damage he himself confirms his ability to do so goes above kaido and the dinosaurs. And yet when zoro unlocks adv coc in 1033 king then starts to dodge and block even with the flame on when before that he would tank and take advantage of Zoro attacks.
This to me is proof that Zoro is indeed on yonko level he should without a doubt be able to fight against them. I would without a doubt say that kaido who tanked ashura would not want to let dragon damnation hit him it would do way more damage than 1010 ashura as not only does he know what he is doing but it has been confirmed that dragon damnation is the pinnacle of zoro swordsmanship to date, and that this technique is imbued with overwhelming haki,wielding unparalleled intimidating force and destructive power.
So yea for me zoro is yonko, but i understand that this is probably an unpopular take.

crazy glaze tbh in his fight with Kaku Zoro was struggling until he pulled out Ashura. It wasn't a one shot when both had been fighting for a while and Kaku had the upper hand, it was an extreme diff fight. The other times he used Ashura was when he would lose the 1v1. Zoro also didn't equally clash with Fujitora, just like with Nusjuro Zoro ain't at admiral level yet. Fujitora was holding back and Nusjuro wasn't even focused on him. On Onigashima Big Mom was scared of the sword, not Zoro. She is scared of Enma and she could probably sense Oden's presence, although she didn't know who Oden was, later Zoro also reopened Oden's old scar, he wasn't strong enough to make a new one and Kaido was pretty much unfazed. Incorrect. Oden's haki had nothing to do with any of Zoro's attacks, Enma was using Zoro's haki at maximum output for a short time, meaning she was scared of how Zoro's haki was being used. Nusjuro was very much focused on Zoro when he blocked his attack. He clearly had the upper hand in his fight with Lucci, so he's closer to G5 than Lucci is. As for the Admirals, GB only retreated when he was clearly outnumbered, Fujitora has a supreme grade blade and could possibly give Mihawk a high diff fight.
As for the pre timeskip fight with Kaku, that was high diff at most, mid diff at least. With the swords Kaku was close to Lucci's full strength. It's a shame he didn't take them to Egghead.
Anyway, Zoro is at least strong enough overall that he should be able to give Kaido a few more scars.

I liked the video because I respect your opinion. Butttttt. Zoro was in way worst shape then all his opponents and most of the time Luffy is too. The have the Goku disease but it's worst. Goku will heal himself most of the time or power up which is basically the same thing when he is hurt but these foods want to die fighting regardless so they go allllll out. Everybody kido fault was light work. chopper didn't develop the sensu bean yet so it's no way Luffy has yet to be full before a fight. No fight is ever after a feast. He always party first.
