When you have a dead-form Captain what do you expect? Failure, of course! Ahmed Musa should have retired from the National Team the same time with his generation, Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo, Emmanuel Emenike, Vincent Enyiama & Co after the third place finish in 2019 CAF Nation's Cup. From 2020 to 2024 Musa market value has dropped from $25 Million Dollars to less than 1 million Dollars. His club form has dropped like pack of sand, from England Premiership (Top League) to unknown Club in Turkey, where he is cleaning the available bench in some weekend games. Sometimes he oscillate from unrecognized Turkish club with Kano Pillars. Is this what the NFF has reduced the Captain of a National Team as big Super Eagles to??? to a Captain who cannot lead on the field. Our Captain's sole duty now is reduced to praying if the Team win's a Cup, to come and lift the cup. Is this kind of ambition not so shameful????????? When Pele won 1970 World Cup, Pele and his generation, Albertos Tores, Parreire and Co retired from the Brazilian National Team to make way for more dynamic younger players to play for Brazil. In 1974, Pele was still very active, playing regular Football at Jomo Cosmos. But when Germany hosted World Cup in the same 1974, Pele was in Frankfurt as a Commentator - NOT AS A PLAYER. When Christian Chukwu won the Nation's Cup in 1980, he and his generation, Emmanuel Okala, Muda Lawal, Segun Odegbami and Co retired from the National Team (Green Eagles) and made way for younger generation of players. Ahmed Musa has not told his body the truth. While Ahmed Musa Body Language has been telling so much truth about his loss of form, loss of football market value, brittle weak bones, lack of stamina, lack of speed, lack of dribbling ability, lack of flexibility and generational gap, Musa continues to deceive himself. Ahmed Musa also continues to deceive the Nation and the fans that dearly love him with the hope of a big jackpot lottery win from his scavenging leadership. Musa is about to play the same scavenger role he played at the last Nations Cup that lead Super Eagles to a dismal first-time round-of-16 knockout beating in the hands of Tunisia. I thought after that disgrace Ahmed Musa should have bid farewell to Super Eagles. To my greatest surprise Grand Pa Musa is still in the Team! If I were Musa I should have entered the same Plane with Victor Boniface and say goodbye to the 2024 Nation's Cup. It is only a fool that does not know the meaning of the word - LIMIT, that continues to dance, even when the music is over and turned off. It is so stupid for a National hero, a football legend to play until all his achievements are rubbished on the field by younger players, some of whom are younger than his first son. Where was Musa when Super Eagles was bashed 2-0 in the friendly by Guinea? Why didn't he change the game? Musa was not invited for most of the qualification matches and friendlies since 2022 because he has been out of form, sometimes clubless. Tell me what is the criteria in selecting a dead-form player who has not been part of the team for nearly 2 years for a competition as big as a CAF Nation's Cup, if not NFF fraudulent bribery, money laundering and embezzlement? What is the criteria of dropping regular players, like Terim Moffi, who has been part of the Team for the past two years?? It's unfortunate that we have criminals, who parade themselves as sport administrators managing Nigerian Football. When I wrote last week of the fraudulent way NFF trimmed the National Team from 27 to 25, some people think I am crazy. How on earth do you drop an in-form Ligue1 striker for Turkish-League Bench-Warmers, Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omerua? Which criteria, if not Bribery by NFF. Now that this incident has happened to our National Team, NFF must use this opportunity to weed out dead-form players like Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omerua and bring in 5 players to complete the squad to a complete 27 players. 27 players will enable the coach to have reasonable option, if another injury occurs. Best Wishes Super Eagles!
