    Another excellent lecture! The judge has such a way to turn a lecture into a story that’s compelling. Last years lecture on NLT gave me the last push to completely reject the state and become an anarchist :)

      The judge supports government. He just thinks it should be limited. He has said that there does exist a legitimate reason for government which is to protect life liberty and property. Same position Ron Paul takes

    • @josda1000
      @josda1000 3 роки тому +4

      Yes, but he along with others help many start down the path to anarchy. Just because he thinks differently doesnt make him invaluable. Keeping one's mind open is the essence of freedom...

      @Sean Michael that's the 1 billion dollar question. Personally, As a start, I think we need to start congregating in the real world. This way we can communicate much better and without any worry of censorship.

      @Sean Michael I truly don't know. I've been trying to put out feelers on Twitter with not much of a response, which could obviously be for a variety of legit reasons/concerns. I need to try the same on Tom Woods elite group which is much more private. Apart from that, I might need to hit the streets and get a feeling. Or maybe conversations such as this could help wield some results. Do you have any ideas? If so they'd be sincerely appreciated.

      @Sean Michael well one of my major issues, that I was making one of top goals of 2020, was to socialize more and finally get back to being employed. For over a decade I had been dealing with a degenerated disc and a subsequent, drug problem that, both, I had finally conquered

    • @luxlife1772
      @luxlife1772 3 роки тому

      @Sean Michael ironically, 2020 was to be the year that I got back to being employed and was going to concentrate on socializing much more. For over a decade I had some serious problems because of a degenerated disc and one of those issues was a severe, drug problem. Fortunately, I've been able to address and conquer those things, but, these last few months has made it, virtually, impossible to reach those other, probably, more consequential, goals. So, for now I'm attempting other means and continuing to do everything I can to maintain some semblance of sanity.

    Included in federal law is a requirement of a “positive law citation” which can be found by 1. Goggling “OLRC” or office of the law revision counsel. 2. Look at “Title 1 USC, chapter 3 section 204 (a) last sentence. 3. Look at the list of titles go to the bottom of the page, read the comment after the “*” 4. Look at the list of titles with asterisks, notice that many titles have no asterisk. Therefore many USC are not made laws, IRS is one of them, as well as Public Health.
    Notice that Highways shows an asterisk but in searching within the title, there is no positive law citation.

    American citizens need to push our Representatives to amend the Constitution to clarify the language. This is the only way to halt and reverse the overreaching federal government. Over the previous decades, these ridiculously liberal interpretations of the Constitution have destroyed many of our freedoms.

    • @charlieblack2634
      @charlieblack2634 3 роки тому

      NO ! Just make the Judges INTERPRET the Constitution WITHOUT inverting, contorting and destroying the INTENT and OBJECTIVE for which it was originally drafted.
      ALL Bad Law by JUDGES needs to be overturned - DO NOT TRUST POSITIVIST LAWYERS TO REDRAFT THE CONSTITUTION - THEY WILL ENTIRELY SUBVERT IT - Like they have been trying to do through the Courts. Bad decisions of Judges CAN be overruled. A BAD CONSTITUTION CAN LAST FOREVER IN A TOTALITARIAN REGIME !

  • @argerm57
    @argerm57 3 роки тому +1

    Regulate - to make regular, to make sure it happens according to the same rules for everyone. It doesn't mean to micro-manage and control, by rule, every activity that can be called 'commerce'.
    It's the same with arms. "Well-regulated" means, well-ordered, to make regular (as in having the same qualifications and capabilities of 'regulars' (soldiers), well-functioning. It doesn't mean to micromanage and encumber with more and more rules to make the right meaningless.
    This understanding has been completely lost, mainly because of the archaic usage and definition of the infinitive "to regulate". It had a very specific, albeit obscure, meaning in the context of the Constitution.
    Bravo, Judge Nap!

    You skipped where article 1 says congress has power within the United States amd article 1 section 8 where it says congress shall have power to…. And article 1 section 8 clause 17 says the power is the seat and lands purchased to do the things “listed.” That congress has power to make law for lands purchased.
    Why is everyone avoiding these articles and ideas. I lose respect for people who claim to want liberty but don’t talk about the lack of governments right to take it. Or lack of jurisdiction. You all claim the powers are limited and defined but act as though the feds control the entire country when the constitution specifically states and legal maxims agree that a gov. Is limited to its lands. They even have jurisdiction reported explaining this in detail.

  • @argerm57

    Actually, no one has the right to strangle anybody else. That wasn't a very good example of conflicting rights, or liberties, which should be negated.
    What should be negated are behaviors which violate the person or property of someone else. Liberties should never be negated. That's not government's role in a free society.
    I think this was a little sloppy, probably owing to the Judge wanting to say something humorous. But, he should know better.

    He speaks about the the constitution like the Act of 1871 never happened.
    Also makes no mention of difference between the legal terms "The People" and "Citizens".

      In his actual class, he makes the distinction between “people” and “citizens” quite a bit, especially when he tackles immigration. You should take his class at Mises. It’s very good and only takes a week.

    09:00 - Voting for representatives is explicit consent to be governed by those representatives. Of course, Libertarians desire a line on the ballot that says "none of the above" - which is a really kuel idea...

  • @barrywhite1770

    I interpret the Second Amendment differently.
    It is the well regulated militia that is necessary. The right to bear arms is secondary and for the purpose of serving the well regulated militia.
    At a time when this “Free state” is created, they need a militia to defend it from outsiders or uprisings inside the state that may threaten this Free state. They may not have adequately dedicated armies or police forces yet. They need to be able to call upon the general public to assist.
    It is not to create a militia of insurrectionists to overthrow the government of the free state as has been interpreted here.
    At any rate, the right to bear arms is for the service of the militia. The well regulated militia.
    If the people don’t belong to the well regulated militia, do they still have the right to bear arms? I believe the answer is “no”.
