Added tip, always look when the Facebook profile was created. Scammers are usually very newly created.
They can also reactivate old deactivated accounts or "hack" into old abandoned accounts. The less dumb ones at least delete all the old pictures, but many are too dumb to think to do that, so sometimes they may have deleted a bunch of old posts, but left old pics up, so you may see a totally different person than their profile pics if you dig a little.

I've had a taste of similar identity theft before, and it sucked. It's weird and it doesn't feel good, for sure. I had someone hack into an old email I had and send nasty, hateful emails to cousins and family/friends. Told everyone I got hacked and apologized, but I had it in the back of my mind that some could think I was lying. I also had an early YT sports genre channel with a niche following. Someone made a couple of fake accounts impersonating me, mostly very crude parodies/trolling, but I still felt the need to address it publicly and let people know it wasn't me. I didn't have anywhere near your subs or anywhere near your biggest views (nearly 7 million views on that one video? That's awesome man!), but it was common for a video to hit 10k-15k views. It didn't feel good knowing someone was using my likeness and spreading bs with it.

What I’ve noticed is that this happens to quite a few UA-camrs at the same time . They all have a higher amount of subscribers . Reported the fakester! Hope no one gets taken .

Someone did something similar on UA-cam once and a lot of people got taken. It really is a shame that people will do this. Hopefully they get nothing!
