Elon musk needs more support. He achieved a lot in the past decade. If allowed in India, many engineers can be employed, and bring out many mechanical wonders other than electric/ electronic cars.
Who is stopping? He decided only to export assembled cars from China. For this India is levying tax and Musk wants tax to be waived off.
Don’t think he is achieving something for india or for us supriya garu he is achieving for himself he is trying to slash import duties and directly bringing assembled cars from other countries and asking for tax cut he is not giving neither employment not tax

Tesla in India is not going to make any impact. It cannot even sell in thousands a year because of its cost factor alone , you can add lack of luxury options and quality issues to it. so there nothing to worry or excite about Tesla in India.

I don't want Elon to come to India if he want to build the car from scratch in india by opening a giga factory here then I am up for it. But all Elon want is to make the car in china ie ( doing all major stuff there) Elon wants to do this he want to make the stuff in other countries and then want just to sell his cars here
But our govt don't want that because it won't create many jobs they want him to make the car from scratch in our country like "ford" , "Hyundai" and etc so it could create many jobs and the companies which supports this giga factory will also flourish and they will also generate major jobs
But Elon don't want this he just want sell his cars here that's why our govt is not accepting this because as you know it will affect our domestic production ie the people who actually make cars here and give thousands of jobs to people or in simple terms the people who actually help our economy to grow and human development index to grow

I don’t know why everyone is so excited about this vehicle. In my experience, it’s overrated and insanely expensive. Even if it comes to India I don’t think they will price the car for general public. Their cheapest vehicle model 3 will be priced 75L above. I have the Model Y here in America and I am not really happy. They are good but not great, don’t justify the price. I drove better vehicles.
