READ THIS - To add a bit more context as I didn't cover it as well as I shoud've in the video: We got rid of all the passive points at the bottom of the tree for substantually more point efficient nodes in the Ranger area. It overall gives us more damage while allowing us to get some utility such as AIlment Threshold and get some extra Evasion. This tree is what I recommend for everyone to swap to as the difference in the tree between the Fire and Cold versions are just 8 Passive Points.
@@Alliee Well all cast on x ones were deleted, they were no different than all these you also mentioned. If they nerfed that they will nerf these too and we will only have auto attack left :(. Every build that prevents you from using dodge roll every 5 secs = Nerf hard. We will loose all hope if they nerf all these builds.
I could if I was unethical yes, and I did do that once like 2 years ago and felt bad about it. Now I yell at people to not do that shit because its really irritating for people who want to have fun with a build
Thank you for this! I managed to nab 3 pairs of gloves and got it on the last try! I swapped my Deadeye to this at 64 and she is smashing act3 even faster than LA was.
I just want to drop a note about Expected value (EV) to help players. So EV is a way to measure how much something will cost if there are multiple different outcomes with varying amounts of success given a specific gamble, over a large amount of attempts. The way you calculate it is: (Chance of success * profit) + (Chance of failure * loss) So for the case of the gloves you would look at the price of uncorrupted gloves and the price of corrupted gloves with a less than 100% conversion modifier. When I last checked these were: Uncorrupted gloves: 3ex Good Corrupted Gloves: 30ex Im making some assumptions, but I believe that the chance of lowering the conversion on corrupt is about 1/8 (1/4 chance to change modifiers on corrupt, and 1/2 chance to lower the mod) (1/8 * 30) + (7/8 * -3) = 1.125 That means if you buy a bunch of those gloves and corrupt them you will make about 1.125 exalts per corruption. So its probably better to buy and corrupt them yourselves at the moment, unless you have enough money to get 99% gloves, then just do that. Of course the market will fluctuate quite a bit, so just look at the prices and substitute them in that equation to figure out what you should do.
lol I had dropped a pair of those a few days ago while I was on this build. Tought it was awesome. I was testing it out to see if it's worth commenting about it, but I'm glad you got to find out!
It's expensive but if you can use distillations to get the All Natural node on your amulet it helps a lot. If you have the currency lying around (or get lucky with distilled emotion drops) it's 5% to each ele res to help with the gloves being low and 30% ele damage.
Yeah I'm stupid.. I got my bracers during the stream yesterday and I forgot the gem. It's not the end of the world as I'm already overcapped for my res but it still irritate me ;) I only had time for 2/3 maps to test the swap but the changes felt really good, but the change of area of effect size will take a moment to adjust to. Overall awesome tech thanks !
HI allie, I am still in acts, like act 3 cruel, I am still on the unique bow, i was working with the passsivce tree from yesterday, but its gone. can we safely swap with out the items?
Yeah, id recommend swapping to this tree setup as soon as you can, its just simply better than the old one. Might be a bit costly to drop all the bottom points but its 100% worth it
We did while leveling and I still recommend to take them if you are just starting your char. I shoudve been a bit clearer on the starting tree that its best to still take them but, once you get gas arrow going and get to endgame, the damage is so high that its very minor while the evade or ms nodes feel a lot more impactful.
@ Tested it on a easy Boss in Act2 normal around lvl 28 and got a big improvement of about a third. So that got me wondering how the lategame scaling works in PoE2. Thanks alot for ur answer and effort!
Did cold version get nerfed after today’s patch notes regarding changes to freeze build up? Hopefully no one pulled the trigger too quickly after this vid posted. 😅
Nah, its a super super minor nerf on any boss that lasts more than 1 freeze which outside of pinnacle bosses, wount be many. Its basically irrelevant as every rare, magic & normal mob you meet wount live more than 1 freeze.
It has the same wording as Flame Wall and it bricks Flame Wall so it should brick that. I don't 100% know as none of us tested the boots since well, they are super clunky but, I expect it to be the same.
Would it not be better to just run all three heralds and a ton of added cold lightning and fire on rings since you get 50% bonus damage from each herald? I still invest in the freeze buildup nodes and shatter everything in maps
No as that % does not do anything due to know conversion now works in PoE 2. Conversion happens before damage is calculated meaning you cannot benefit from all of them at once.
Yep! We still go a phys bow as before, nothing has really changed other than you can now scale off of flat phys, fire and cold damage on rings/gloves/quiver but your bow is still a phys bow.
@@Alliee thanks for the guide. I'm still using flamewall setup since I haven't gotten the hood yet. Is it viable to use flame wall or explosive shot if I am ok with a 2 button setup?
How are you scaling this, wasn't ABC conversion removed in POE2? Isn't the Chill/Freeze is the only bonus for building this way, it shouldn't do more damage because it's already scaling physical to fire and cannot double dip into cold damage. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how converting works in POE2
It mostly comes from substantually more efficient pathing and the fact that Harness the Elements gives us 45% inc damage which would only be 15% as fire. We also get cold exposure which we had no good way to get as fire on rares and bosses. We also now get to scale off added cold damage on gear too on top of added fire and phys although those 2 are a bit weaker due to a bit of loss from fire to cold. Double dipping is gone, but in this specific setup there are damage amps we unlock that we didnt have before thats all.
@@Alliee Solar Orb with Fire Exposure Support and the flat damage isn't a benefit right because adding flat fire to this build is the same as adding flat cold to the previous one. Either way, one source of flat damage is losing a scaling. I think the previous build does more damage if you consider using a good pair of gloves with flat damage and attack speed disregarding gems But, I do agree that I think with Rising Tempest and Ice Bite, this build will end up doing more damage because I can't think of another support gem we could run on the other one that's close to how strong Ice Bite is.
If you mean cold, as far as ima ware the gloves are the only fire to cold covnersion sadly, the build still feels super comfy as fire and you can always try to corrupt your own, it should be a ~1/8-1/12 chance and they are pretty common so they shouldnt be too expensive
Yep, its really annoying when people try to flip items for profit like this. Its why I recommended in the video for people to try and corrupt their own.
Nope, the freeze change is only relevant on pinnacle bosses and even then, it is very very minor and wount change anything about the build. It only matters on anything you freeze more than once which will only be map bosses and pinnacle bosses and on map bosses it doesnt matter.
Yeah, these would be incredible in HC as getting to chill and freeze sounds amazing there. Luckily they seem fairly common so you could try to buy 5-10 pairs and try to make them yourself as long as they arent too much. It might take a while though as even with them being common, the HC playerbase is prob small esp right now where peopel arent used to the game. They would be a very large defensive upgrade

Do you thinhk you can have fun ? I give it 24 hours before GGG destroys this too, and we will auto attack to glory.
I doubt it, if this gets nerfed first I lose all hope for GGG considering... Archmage, All of Titan, Lightning Rod, Minions, all of Crossbows exist.

how do you guys use herald of ice with 3 links to it with this? im missing 5 spirit becouse we lost the % re3servation on herald notes. help pls
