My girlfriend in 1973, her father was on the QM when it collided with the Curacoa. He said it felt like a little bump, not much of anything and the QM never slowed down. He saw the halves of the ship passing by before they sank.
@@mikes7639 he did say he ws standing by the bow of the QM. Maybe he was full of BS about that. He also said the ship was a Corvette, not a cruiser which is wrong. 30 years later, his memory proably wasn't so hot.
It’s actually the other way around! The British were extremely influential on Japanese naval design in the early 1900s and actually even built some of them. Thanks for watching & have a great week :)

@@slytlygufy I corrected that.
8:50 Is that an actual photo of the wreck as it happened? Queen Mary looks real but the water splash around Curacao looks odd.
Harwich is pronounce Ha'rich - the "w" is silent for the British.
Ahh thank you, completely forgot that! Thanks for watching & have a great week :)
Thanks for the correction
Amazing how some British war ships look like Japanese war ships

He who has the bigger ship has the right of way.
Ive been on the Queen Mary and i thought it was creepy.
What was the navy ship doing so close. Ships don't have brakes like a car
