Barrow in furness produces some world class machinery again. If you go to Barrow you would never realize how utterly brilliant the residents of barrow are.
Good on you Brits from America! We need strong allies. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
🇬🇧🇺🇸
Yes, some NATO allies DO spend the agreed 2% of GDP on defence! It's a pity so many of our neighbours on the continent do not bother.
We will be there. Whenever you need us brother.
Imagine if the royal navy was still as powerful as it was when we had the grand fleet
God Save The queen I wish we still had our whole Empire
Fantastic boat and good to know she will work brilliantly in concert with our most important ally the US Navy!Wow what a combo and enough to flatten any threat from anywhere, anytime. We need more of these boats right now.
The best class of ssn submarines ....so beautifull !!Btw i am not british!!
We need more of them!!!! 🇬🇧
Jamie Powell We need more of everything 😁
@@Chrisey96. haha! Yes! That's an understatement! 😁
Nope, we need less, better things to spend tax payer's money on!
Not kidding. Hundreds more.
Jamie Powell yes
Those guys are amazing as is the sub. A lethal ghost.... Good they're on our side...
Hello from India. Looks like a cool submarine with global ops capability. I wonder if there will ever be a commonwealth alliance in the future.
Not with the chippy attitude that many Indians have to the UK, but maybe one day if old grievances are put to bed. We are stronger together and the real enemy is communist China. Thanks for your support.
Ambush. Proper no nonsense name. Here you are here we are. Have some of this!
Its the best name for any Boat, ever!
Oh yes!
@@Light_Painter :P haha!
Then we go and name our CVs as Queen Lizzie and Prince of the Welsh. At least the four Dreadnought subs will have cool names, unless they opt for something daft like Daphne, Donald, Douglas and Doughnut.
@@krashd Those names have a proud history in our Navy.
Good Luck HMS Ambush
I already plan to join the navy, video's like this are just pushing me further.
Fair winds and following seas, HMS Queen Elizabeth!
She’s a submarine; I don’t think that she cares about fair winds or a following sea!
God bless her... And the royal navy
God bless her? Its a machine. If you knew jesus or the bible you would know its a weapon to kill, when jesus talks about, if someone slaps your right cheek, give them the left also, Luke 6 v29, In other words don't retaliate. God's love is the only way. Idolising is a sin.

Cool name for a sub.
Way to go Britain!!!!
It's got to be the best name for a submarine ever
The Royal Navy has never looked better with her brand new ships
Luis Guevara We have begun to retire and scrap her class. But Babcock and BAE Systems have created a new class of submarines.
Astute Class Subs...mass murders and negligent seamaship so far......they are a bit cursed....
@nuff said you're pretty stupid not gonna lie why would we need aircraft carriers to defend our island? We have massive ones now anyway which do need more ships
But you're forgetting NATO is protecting us as well and our troops are some of the best trained in the world
@nuff said we are that's why we're spending billions on our navy idiot
nuff said you’ve got to be uninformed if you haven’t read the news on how the MOD will ramp up defence spending in the years to come, from 2.0% to 2.5%.May not seem like a lot but we’re talking about a potential budget of £75-85 billion budget here.
Codd! What a name for a submarine commander.
He’s not coding 😂😂😂😂
Samantha owen probably on there way to cape cod
Samantha owen foot long sounds good
I live beside Faslane 🏴 & whilst I’ve seen these a hundred times, I still smile & jump in the car to get closer for a photo. They do make you proud to be 🇬🇧.
Meanwhile in Australia..... politicians make a dog's breakfast out of it's submarine fleet.
Your politicians need to step up. Subs for Australia I'd have thought would be a must.
We might have some second hand British built subs for sale.
@@BritishFreedom we'd have been quicker refurbishing Type VII C museum pieces.
Not any more. Looks like the Astute class will be in the Australian navy in greater numbers than in the Royal Navy.
Great name for a captain of a sub Codd
Awesome
v proud
There was a show on the BBC of a young apprentice electrician wiring up the intercom in the captains cabin of this boat. A small bit of wiring but very necessary. The whole show was fascinating.
Yes I saw that.I think it was filming the first boat, the Astute?
Ready. Aye ready.
Don't drop that shiny Tomahawk missile.
Proud to work for BAE, some very clever people building some very special vessels.
Iain M Banks came up with the best ships names.
Falling outside the normal moral constraints. Is a bit long.
Attitude Adjuster would be good.
Nice to see the BRITISH FLAG
awesome video I hope this new age is real now
Hail Britannia man for man best navy in the world
More to come !👽
My first link to an British carrier was the HMS Eagle (1951 build) and the jets appeared small. I wish I had a camera but alas...I still have contact with John to this time. The Swedish sub with a sterling engine had virtually sank and American carrier and the sub could not be located. :)
My Farther was on Eagle flying the god awful Wyvern and the MUCH nicer Sea Hawk. Went on to land the first operational F4 on Ark Royal.
Make Britain Great again.
That single boat can cause a lot of damage only the US boats are comparable, no other countries come near. The UK is the only country that has shared nuclear research program with the US.
These really are the battleships of the 21st century. Carriers project power but these boats can destroy entire fleets. The UK's fleet may be small but it packs hell of a punch for its size. The next generation AUKUS attack boats capabilities will be terrifying.
God bless her and all who sale in her.
Or sail even.... you are selling something

My dad served on ambush in his last few years in the rn used to stow his bike in the bomb shop 😂
HMS Abush fitting name
HMS Ambush is surely world class business and I would not like to be anywhere that gets on the wrong side of her!
♥️♥️♥️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
This coincides with QE carrier. What other new ships/systems?
I like the guy with the torch opening the tube door to make sure the torpedo had "left the building." Must make sense to check rather than believe the panel lights. Someones arse would have been in a sling if it was still there. I imagine the navy RSM equivalent has the same function and inbuilt fear factor.
The boat's undergoing trials so he was checking for possible tube damage of minor leaks. Trials mean everything is physically checked.
@@loddon82 isn't there a sight glass to use before actually opening the tube ? To see that the breach is clear.
It is the best named sub in history.
Old vid...this class did well...v usn subs in recent wargames...2 uk subs defeated 2 usn subs...way to go..
New French nuclear submarine Barracuda class, the Suffren has received its red crew. Captain Cousin spend navy officier exchange on board HMS Ambush.
Semua sudah membuat willy seperti sekarang...

Anyone thinking about it think again?.
Cdr Justin Codd...fishy name for a sub captain! Plenty of chips onboard I hope 😂
Anyone know what the little spike is coming up just aft of the bow? US subs don't seem to have it...
If there's a better name for a British sub commander than "Command Codd" then I'd like to hear it.
Oh they got their lip stick out 😱😵
Made in Britain
with US weapon systems!!! what an independence!!!
I don’t think I will be fist bumping a torpedo any time soon
Please...
Open the place please..
Commander Codd, and 1st Officer Salmon
CDR Codd.... really? 😂
Just wondering what the life span of such a sub might be. Is it a case of dry dock & a complete refit or does the sub just reach a point where it's simply too old?
With proper and timely refits and repairs 30-40 years is reasonable.
Way to many buttons. One big red button Is all you need
Are you going about trolling royal navy videos?
i think you’re a fool they need a bother few buttons you jnow
Captain codd ay alt name
Was this filmed in faslane
Jack......this is off the Isle of Skye which is North West Scotland, there’s a testing facility located in the area which allows the Royal Navy to test there gadgets. 😉
Shame the captain damaged it.

The problem is that if the digital system goes down the crew can’t see outside because there is no periscope.
Think they will have a back up.
The Swedish sub with a sterling engine will do a great job and ought to be purchased.
Is this the one that crashed into a tanker off Gibraltar?
Can you sell some to Australia?.... The French subs on order may not be available for decades....We may have to recommission some of our Oberon class until problems with the Collins class are sorted.

"There's that Russian destroyer. Load tubes 1 and 2!"
"Aye, sir. Tubes should be loaded within 17 minutes, sir."
If they are hunting ships they would be loaded already
Britain's military has more to do with manipulating the EU than deterring the Russians.
So where was Suranne Jones?
Next stop... HONG KONG.
Hong-Kong doesn't get touched
He crashed this boat into tanker later:)
Big Bill O'Reilly It has a sort of periscope...
Good idea, tell the world how many problems they have had with faults etc. Remind of the Falklands, TV telling everyone exactly what, where and when things are happening..
Next vessel in the class will be named HMS "Bit,on the nose; as it were. Yes?"
How about HMS F.U.E.U. Fast Underwater Elusive Udetectable
Just don't become like America britz are good people

@Donald Sinclair I watched years ago so I can’t remember the Exact wording
@Donald Sinclair good shout out, might stick that on this evening with a Chinese (as its Friday). Hunter Killer is a somewhat good movie about submarines.
I have NEVER understood why we send our boys and girls into harms way when we have these boats with cruise missiles or nuclear weapons. We take out our opponent's and they don't know what hit them.
Never will understand why wearing blue uniforms that can't be detected in the blue ocean is a good idea. Sounds like the astronaut unis for the Challenger disaster. Changes were made.

How is a camera on a stick 'state of the art'
It was mirrors originally. Plus is most likely has different imaging ranges, infrared, thermal etc.

Sitting ducks as we call them
@786qad.........’we’?? I’m curious to whom ‘we’ in your bold statement.
I’ve never heard anyone in any branch of the military call Submarines ‘sitting ducks’ especially SSNs.
Yes, HMS Ambush is indeed the sub that both hit the bottom - in public - and while submerged, hit a tanker . Only cost a billion or so to sort it. Dont worry, the Captains knighthood is still safe.
"Repairs cost £2.1 million and the commander, who was training a group of students at the time, was sentenced to forfeiting a year of seniority for negligently hazarding the vessel."
@@mostevil1082 thanks for the proper dit. 👍😉👍😉
I might be naïve but surely this is a pretty long breaking in period for a boat. I understand the complexity but lots of stuff is tricky in these times. So, I hope BAE systems have paid a penalty for such shoddy work. But I’m guessing no. The reason is almost certainly corruption. We have to use British Companies to build war ships so, BAE are in essence a monopoly and it is not wonder why the DOD is so wildly over planned budget each and every year.
I still don't get who the UK thinks they'll need to fight to buy such advanced systems. It's amazing such a small country can spend billions of pounds on ships and missiles of all types.
I've seen a frigate escort an oil tanker in the Persian gulf, but if anything goes hot, nothing wouldn't be sunk in such a small area with supersonic and potentially hypersonic anti-ship missiles, so it's curious indeed.
It's called deterrent! So no body attacks us! Come on get with it!
@@MyScotty7, and what deterrent is there, when you are fighting Klingons (72 mansions with 72 virgins...which still sounds like hell to me, having to hear 72 times, "It has to go in WHERE!?") that want to die in glorious battle.
Know you're enemy. MAD doesn't work, if one side doesn't care about their population or themselves. That's includes China. One general said publicly, if they lost 500 million people that was a price they were willing to pay.
Deter that.
