These videos unlocked a part of my brain that laid dormant for 30 years. Some shows I got right away, others I clearly remember the theme song and can visualize the show but can't remember the title and others I knew I have heard the song and can tell right away that I never watched the show with any regularity.

Im sure in 40 years you'll remember the theme to Stranger Things, due to its quantum entanglement with the 80s in that way, but most shows now can't even afford to spend a few seconds on a jingle or tune let alone a full blown story-telling theme song without losing a significant percentage of time. Too bad too because often, the tune at the start also helped to "prime" us watchers for the next 30 or 60 minutes, Hill Street Blues theme got you to prepare for some dramatic, sad and serious events; Airwolf, Matt Houston, Hunter got you to start preparing adrenaline for their action-packed scenes; etc - it was a moment to help you transition yourself to get in the mindset for the show, music and themes triggering base brain reactions. The more unique and instantaneous the music kicked up associations with the show (ie everyone can identify Knight Rider within 1/30th of a second, macguyver within 1/10th of a second, etc) the better job it did to just help activate our brains to prepare for the next hour :)

They should've gotten people who actually grew up during the 80s to consult at the very least. Embarrassing how they messed up the music to such an noticeably off-putting degree. There are plenty of other TV shows that have been amazing in the last 10 years that I WILL remember, however, well into old age. Stranger Things will not be one of them.

I was 15 in 1984 ..... great music, tv shows, movies, so many fond memories. Remember going to see the Goonies, Aliens, all those great movies, all the New Wave music which was awesome. I had a Swatch like everyone else. I remember watching Miami Vice for the first time and I was blown away. Cheers, The Greatest American Hero, Automan. I wouldn't change me being alive in the 80's for anything. It's such a big part of my life.

I had a lot of fun guessing the 80's TV Shows. It was a blast from the past.🤩 Wish I had heard "227," "Saved By The Bell (Good Morning, Miss Bliss)," "Fame," "Full House," "Amen," "Highway to Heaven," "Family Matters," and "Fraggle Rock."👀 But it was still nice to even hear this much.❤ Thank you so much for the memories.🤗

      I'm 46 ..
I recall many of them, but my father worked lots of night shifts. I remember watching lots of these with Mom. We didn't watch lots of comedy shows though. Also, I wrote lots of tv shows to get autographed pics. I have one from Misfits of Science. Three songs became piano recital songs - Hill Street Blues, Mike Hammer and St.Elsewhere.... One classical song + one song you (Mom) picked...

Here in the UK we didn't get all of those shows so I didn't know some of them but ones I do remember that you might want to add in any future editions include... Street Hawk, Midnight Caller, Hill Street Blues, Quantum Leap and Doogie Howser M.D.
Great videos though, a real nostalgia trip :)

80s: The Smurfs, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, and Muppet Babies.
