My team and I filmed this ten years ago and it's still one of the best shows we ever captured on these Dr. Martens tours. We knew it at the time; this performance was special. Fun fact, there was no PA for this show, someone forgot to book the speakers! But that's what helped us capture the magic between the band and the crowd because it meant the band was not amplified, and we were able to get a clean recording of the audience singing their hearts out. I still get tingles watching it back today; we captured lightning in a bottle. Well done, Neck Deep, well done, audience.
There were no speakers, so the audience only heard his voice (straight from his mouth) and the acoustic guitars. The microphones you see are just for our video/audio recordings. In every other in-store event, there were always speakers. But I'm really glad we got to record this unique show the way it happened.

the way he smiles at 45sec is the way all musicians want to feel. that singing a song and having a whole room sing with you. that's the ultimate dream of a musician. to be able to reach an audience and mean something to them. that right there is the dream.
