I’m going to try the clips for the ends. I’ve done rubber bands and even the cotton bands and I feel like my ends still are getting caught. Thanks for that tip!!
Love how your hair looks 😍😍 I only shampoo before the retie too (I do it the day before). I twist and band since I can’t braid lol I also leave the twists in until my appointment and she likes it because she doesn’t have to part my hair, she just grab a twist, gently take it down and work on my head one twist at a time.
Lifted cuticles is not good. Strive for products that will smooth hair cuticles down (closed). Closed hair cuticles will retain moisture. Castile soap is extremely drying. Please use with caution. If your scalp is suddenly sensitive, one possibility may be because you retie too often. Try retying 6 to 8 weeks instead of 4.
This is just to help the locing process start. Not suggesting you keep them lifted long term. Your retie schedule should be based on how fast YOUR hair grows not a random numbers. I waited 6 weeks once and had a lot of new growth joining other locs which made it the worst retie ever for me. 4-5 weeks is optimal for me personally. I am 4 years in locs are now near my waist, healthy, have lost no locs and not one thinning loc. What I have been doing works for me personally. Haircare is not one size fits all. Just sharing what I do for my hair.

Awesome! I'm about to have mine installed and wasn't sure of a good way to clean them while keeping them neat. Thank you 😄

Thank you for the clip idea!!! I’ve STRUGGLED removing the bands.
I did the rubber bands a couple times and quickly decided it was not for me. The clip were such a time saver and easy on my ends!
Oh my goodness. I'd cut my hair off if I ever had to spend an hr doing anything to it. You are a rockstar!!!
Omg you are blessed!!! Wash days used to be like 6 hours when I was loose natural!! It’s WHY I locked it 😂

Why do you remind of Jody Watley and Jackie Aina at the same time? I don't know, if you've heard that before. Either way, you are beautiful!😍
Omg I have never gotten either one of those! What an amazing compliment 😩😘 Thank you!!!
@@SharidaM You're welcome.🥰

Thank you for sharing. Do you ever use conditioner or DC?
Never, because my hair isn’t fully locked.

Thank you 🙏🏾 💕! I wash once a month just before my retie.

I may have missed it....do you use conditioner?
No conditioner at all.
Hi 👋 do you dry your hair before you take your braids out?
Nope, I take down about 10 minutes after towel drying.
@@SharidaM wow. Ok. Have you done that from the start? I know some say not to unbraid until dry. Interesting to see how others do. 🤔
What happens to your hair if you were blow dry your hair while it is in plats?
It would form a braid out style.
I love this thumbnail!
Thank you Beautiful ☺️ 🥰!!
Is your hair fully dried when you take out the braids?
No I only wait about 10 minutes. I don’t want the braid out look so I really don’t leave braids in too long.
