What The Hell 🔥 Men’s Senior… These Kids Are In They’re 20’s
Maybe this was meant as a joke. If so, sorry.
But senior means 19+ in this context.
As opposed to junior.
Based on other comments: This is Canada. Senior is simply mens final.
What is the minimum age for this this event?
I don't believe there is, but maybe 18
@@IdJones11 it is for SENIORS
@@ijg4427 Correct, but in this case it just meant 19 years or older, as opposed to juniors
no gold medals for respect
These guys do not look like seniors to me.
correct, in this case senior just meant 19 or older
bro really sat in 2nd the entire race until the last 2 seconds good tactics but not respectable to just let everyone else do the work for you
It's part of the game.
I don't know what he could have done differently. Philibert-Thiboutot pushed really hard the last 700m. Lumb looked to be just hanging on hoping to get by at the end.
@@mikefaulds722you are spot on. It came down to the mental fight to push to the end. Otherwise he worked hard to stay in touch.
love when awful runners post their shitty takes on tactical running
Thiboutot's 2023 best is 2.5 seconds faster than Lumb's. With that advantage he had a very realistic chance to just power away from the field like he tried with 800m to go. Any hesitation from Kieran and Charles would have been gone. It almost worked out that way. Lumb was nearly boxed in when the move was made here ua-cam.com/video/DQP3y1hFA20/v-deo.html but he responded to the move and latched on immediately. This is very hard to do when you know the other guy is so much faster than you on paper. Big kudos to Kieran.
If Thiboutot (the more experienced runner with a huge PR advantage) had played the sit-and-kick against Kieran it would be a little less classy but still fair game. This is the 1500. As it was, Charles challenged the field to go with him, Kieran took up that challenge and a meet record was the result. What's not to like?
