@@BobDenard2010 Thanks !
supeberb .. very short elobrative required to understnd the entrie process form xworks to final destination
This helped me learn about ports for my Minecraft city thanks!
Haha bro I am here for same reason
I study x-ray, i'm not even that interested in this stuff but my adhd decided to watch this and now I'm absolutely fascinated. I'm also thinking about how cool of a video game this would be, like a mobile game, where you have to load up truck by colour coordinating the truck colour with container colour and managing multiple ships coming in and out and having to move around stacks of containers to make room for move containers moving in and having to manage the in and out of containers on ships and trucks.
I watched this to find out how to layout a port in TheoTown, and I can say that this is extremely informative and useful.
As a Integrated Logistics and Management student, this video really helps me in understanding how the port works. Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback. We have quite a few courses here: allynintlcatalog.trainlearngrow.com/ - if you think any may help in your studies drop me an email at training@allynintl.com and I'll be happy to set you up with a discount coupon.
This was very helpful. I am writing a story where one of the characters works at a port like this and I wanted to understand how it worked so thank you very much for uploading this.
Glad it was helpful!
👍👍
Am I a persona that has to know how this works? No
Am I an expert on the matter? No
Do I loved this animation and do I have learned something new? ABSOLUTELY
Thanks a lot!

Very informative.
Please do a video on China's automated port handling
Superb !!! Simply Superb !!!!
Thanks a lot
This is a very, very educational operational system of the container of how it is Layout. More easly to understanding it, Thanks.
Thanks a lot
This is very easy to understand and informative
Thanks a lot - much appreciated!
Very useful for a Port Foreman like me
Glad to hear that
What an interesting animation!
Thanks a lot! happy you liked it
Thanks 😊 for Information.
You a very welcome. Happy you liked it
Very good presentation of a rather complex subject.
Thank you Ted
Ship to Train and vice versa are much more interesting
Good animation. thanks
Thanks a lot
Hi !! I'm very happy when i see this vidéo , that's great . Thanks
Thank you too!
Education. Homework. Import/Export Fundamentals.
For me, it counterintuitive the crossing path of entering and exiting trucks. But great animation.
Valid point - thanks
i must do watch this video for watching season 2 of the wire hahah
Hi !! I 've a préoccupation , how do we define supply chain maritime ? What are the directs jobs and indirects jobs ??
Good job
Thanks
How do they know which container to taxi to the building give to the buldings
Why does this animation show a reach stacker lifting empties? I thought there were separate vehicles specifically for empty container handling? Can you explain the difference between ECH, loaded container handler, and reach stacker usage?
Hello, reach stackers can/will also be used in smaller port to move empties - the larger the port the more specialized the equipment will be. If you have a large enough port to justify the purchase of more equipment you may buy/lease some ECH as they are cheaper than stack reacher. But if do not have enough volume to keep the ECH busy most of the time you will prefer a stack reacher due to its polyvalence and capability of handling empties and loaded. And even smaller port may only used a heavy duty forklift and a larger one may rely more on gantry cranes and container chassis, not even using ECH or stack reachers.
Hope this helps.
We do have a short course on ports here:

Great video. What is the vehicle called that is in the animation than can lift and move these big containers from lorries?
Thanks a lot. It is a Reach stacker - I took a picture of one here - pixabay.com/pt/photos/log%C3%ADstica-reach-stacker-5352514/

@@learnlogistics I am developing with a board game. The theme of the game is to load containers onboard a container ship. Do you do animations as profession?
@@edmundengland I work on logistics eLearning course and training development, I may occasionally include an animation but I'm far from being professional or proficient - I used atomisystems.com/saola-animate/ for this animation. I also potter around with computer game development as a hobby. Nice idea for the board game -
Does each container handling/process (storing place, storing time etc.) follow strict and repetable protocol, of is it affected by human behavior?
Both - in larger automated ports, it will be strongly process driven [automated] whereas in smaller ports it may be down to a individual human deciding where each container will be stored.
Outside factors such as a container being selected for a customs inspection may also be linked to human behavior (spot control) and may impact your otherwise systematic process.
Or a container may be damaged during its transport and an individual may be called in to evaluate and decide to where the container should be sent / next steps.
Hope that helps.
I would say that is done all manually. For instance, many terminals in Europe doesn't allow cargo without customs clearance at the yard. According to Port of Discharge, type of container, or even transhipments, the stacking of containers is done considering those factors, there are more but just for the sake of explaining. There are automatic cradle carriers picking up containers from the yard, but thats all.
I'm invading Shanghai in 45 days🎉 Thanks for the info!
Jamás una Grúa Pórtico se desplaza de esa manera para cargar o descargar contenedores, que falta de rigurosidad en lo que es esta operación.
anyway, what tool that you used for this video animation simulation?
I used atomisystems.com/saola-animate
Is there a game like this? :D
I thought about the same thing... a (container) port management game.
Somewhat unrelated but talking about games - if you want, you can give our logistics mode selection one a try:
trainlearngrow.com/the-transport-mode-game-files/practice.html
what did you use to create the video
I used Saola animate atomisystems.com/saola-animate/
Easy to use and great customer support / user forum.
No train?
Not in this simple version, would have been overload - but you are correct than many containers could be delivered to the yard via train - offloaded in the yard by cranes and then move to quay side or vice versa in a similar manner than the animation shows.
Can I get slide
Hello, I'm not sure what slide you are referring too but you can find our entire related training here:

Yes, it is for new comers - it is part of our introductory course. We have nevertheless received good feedback from experience personnel also. Thanks for watching.
@aussie43 Thanks and I agree, need to work on having systematic CC/subtitles.
So where does the CCP container ship come in and wrecks the crane and tips over other containers?
NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!
SUGGEST: you ought to hire a better voice actor... plenty of talent available for $200/H... someone... anyone... whose voice is not a verbal tranquilizer... also consider a low volume bass note to encourage attentiveness by viewers... nobody loves training and lessening the dull factor increases the learning... such as applying a brightened border to each object as it is discussed... there's a dozen moving bits... which is centerpoint at any given moment?
Thanks for the valid suggestions, will take them in consideration for future videos
For the voice - I guess at least I have a "soothing voice" and a new possible nickname - The verbal tranquilizer
