Wait, I thought Necronomicon is a fictional grimoire from H.P Lovecraft mythos (Cthulhu etc)? From what I know, the existing real life equivalent of Necronomicon are Shams al-Maarif and Picatrix.
Those books are banned but recently copies of Shams Al-maarif are being produced in Lebanon.

the fact that this show needs to be prefaced with "what if we influence people?" is both embarrassing and disappointing. it shows the lack of trust in our community's intellect to discern what is right and wrong. and also this just reeks of religious sentiments when it should be an objective investigative series. i'm not sure what the aim with this series is? to reinforce islamic beliefs and create more separation from our community and others? or to broaden the mind in the spirit of investigative journalism? then why the need for coddling?
