Congratulations, you have raised wonderful grown adults that will be so successful! It is so hard to let them go. Then they come home, and the process starts all over again. Set up new routines and enjoy time together but have plenty of tissues available. We are going through the process right now and all though it hurts more than we could ever have imagined, it is heartwarming to watch them discover life just like we once did. Thank you for sharing your family with us through the years. They have gone way too fast.
Empty-nesting is not easy. My husband left and then in a few months, my son wanted the US Marine Corp!! He enjoyed being a Marine, but what a gut-punch! I am very proud of him!
Empty nest is one of the HARD things. You spend a couple decades doing the baby toddler kid tween teen to OMG my baby is an adult. Personally i went to bed for 3 weeks and cried. Then got up and started actively praying for grandkids. Lol Seriously though it is a dichotomy of huge pride "look what we did" to why? Do they have to leeeeeave meeeeeee? Parenthood distilled to its essence is profound love and abject fear. Toss in a broken arm tonsil surgery skinned knees and bedtime stories andvjust one more drink of water, i would give anything to do all over again.
How did that happen. i have watched this fabulous family grow up, and enjoyed every moment of viewing. Ree and Ladd you should be so proud of them all, you did a good job. Wishing all the kiddos every success.

My youngest just graduated from High school this December. I'm excited to see what the future holds for both of my girls!!
