ok lol i can't believe i'm commenting about train sounds but that high-pitched whine tangaras have when they stop and set off is so perfect, just such a pretty sound especially echoing through the Redfern/Central underground platforms.
I am fairly sure that the male announcer voice is the same as that on central station ." The next train to depart is the tain to Liverpool via Regents Park "
I couldn't find any audio of that announcement when I made the video. I'm not from Sydney so I thought they didn't have one. I'll be sure to include it if I do an updated video :)
@@kdpt8376Ok then. I'm not from Sydney either but I definitely know they do have an announcement, both from riding them and from various videos I've seen on UA-cam. Hope you get to add one when you get a chance.
There's nothing more comforting than being in a old clapped out K Set. They have a sound, smell and character that all the others lack.
Love that. Hopefully I get to ride one before they retire!
@@kdpt8376 when are they retiring the k sets?

Nothing beats the V sets those things were my childhood and that smell of the break blocks is addictive
Brother that is so correct
The t set tangara sounds so beautiful, it sounds the best in everything
I do like the Tangaras
Nothing beats the sound of a departing M set
Yeah, it's great!
Ok
The millenium?

Glad I could help with this video! 😊
I’d be more then happy to help with more videos!
Fantastic! Thanks for contributing :)
there is nothing more pleasing to T2 riders than the whine of the B set's motor as it picks up speed
Love the motor sounds!

Nothing sounds more futuristic than the tangara's motor spinning up.
Love it!
It sounds so good! You earned a new sub buddy 🎉
Thank you :)
Its so vivid. I love this
Thanks!!
I love the good old T sets!

5:52 The Waratah A & B sounds very similar to 'Series E531' in Japan...!
Oh nice, I'll check them out!

I don't mind a Waratah A
The traction sounds like crack Changchun. Like it

love how they all have a raspy horn
then the waratahs are just *doot*
I do like the raspiness!
Millennium arrival sounds like metro no?
Yes, it does!!
The B set is the best. Barely any complaints! The T sets are a failure tho

I used audio from two different videos.

you should do the queensland trains next. also the millenium set sounds like one of our trains here in qld
Here's the Brisbane one :) ua-cam.com/video/V1xPkERFqhc/v-deo.html
Might be using the same mitsubishi motor. The new sydney metro trains use a similar one as well.

Cool!
What about v set 3:27
I decided to just include the Sydney Trains fleet in this compilation. Might do an Intercity train fleet comparison once the new trains enter service.
