You are incredible Francis. The story you told was so pure, raw, authentic that was almost uncomfortable at times. You are a gift to cinema and as an actor myself I would love to have the opportunity to work with you, one day. All the very best to you, Francis.
Interesting to hear how he approached directing the film he wrote (Gods Own Country) separately those two perspectives (writer and director). He isn’t the first ‘Actors director’, but on the strength of GOC he is already proven to be one of the very best.
I just watched your film last week, please create part 2. It's such a great and immersive film. I'm not surprised that your film has won so many awards. I think about the best actor of BIFA 2017, both Josh O'connor and Alec secareanu were nominated for the same award, I hope they all get work together again ,and I just want Gheorghe's role to be more concave than on Got's own country part 2.
Let’s hope this film and Francis and his actors and the other marvellous artists behind the work are identified and rewarded by BAFTA for their truthful and deeply human storytelling.
James G. It was a 1000 times better than Call me by your name. Timothee's performance was outstanding. He needed longer time on screen and a different partner IMO. Gods Own Country💔❤️ I have never seen anything like this. Working on the farm was lonely, weather unforgiving, hard work, miserable most of the time and a thankless job. Both men brought this movie to a brighter life. Johnny, what a transformation! Self loathing, incapable of giving love or accepting love. His lovely mate, Gheorghe was a very patient, loving and a generous man. Johnny needed love and touch so badly. His father was also incapable of giving love and telling him he appreciated him. I just can't explain how I loved this romance. Gheorghe taught Johnny how to love & I can not put into words how lovely that was to watch. Truly lovely movie. It made me cry!
Is there are producers available to pay millions dollars payment to kate Winslet if she enters the production that would be a big budget film....I'm shocked...

Hey, Francis how about a sequel with all the same characters, where the father hasn’t died? The storyline was better than Call Me By Your Name.
