FORGIVENESS IS NOT A SPORT
I consider that of the most sublime acts is the action of forgiveness towards an unjust and undeserved act, that is where Love has the infinite power to transform what was bad into good. Undoubtedly there are unimaginable pains that escalate to the unforgettable, but forgiveness is not a temporary amnesia, it is the ability to see the flower in the cement, it is to have hope in the heartrending weeping. This world needs forgiveness.
This understanding allows us to rise to a place of peace and joy in the terrors of the world, where we can transform history and build a better horizon for those who precede us. Retribution is a vicious circle, forgiveness is reconciliation with your freedom.
Only in undeserved forgiveness do we find the intangible but saving and striking grace of eternal and true love.
Learning to ask for forgiveness and learn to grant it is one of the greatest learning of maturity and without doubt is the greatest feature of a great and kind spirit, it is an act that is governed by the greatness of your spirit, not by the strength of your will or the depth of your intelligence.
I can not deny that it is true, that there are those who convert "asking for forgiveness" in a sport. In a race of mistakes, they make it their favorite pastime. You're supposed to and want to learn from mistakes; It is the mistakes that have led you to ask for forgiveness. But if in the intention and action of asking for forgiveness, it is not accompanied by a real and radical change, it is a game of abuse where tears and repentance is an act of hypocrisy. Asking for forgiveness and making the same mistake over and over again is not only a lack of respect, but a game practiced by irresponsible people who simply do not want to, do not want to learn, let alone grow. Crying is not change, change is change.
