TAF remains supreme and the standard. They were pretty ‘light’ in this section battle but don’t get it twisted. There isn’t a trombone section I’d list above them and it goes back for at least the last 10-12 years.
Now, I like FAMU, but y'all did NOT win that trombone battle. Y'all did bitch ASU out tho, I'll give you that. I was on FAMU's side of the stands at the game. For one, y'all didn't even get everything ASU played, that's my biggest concern about this video. Two, y'all took some stuff from their book, or at least what they usually play. I was expecting something better, but y'all disappointed me. What ASU played was honestly a lot more entertaining to me. They could do better when it comes to balance and overall sound, but hey. Other sections sound... okay. Trumpets finally adjusting to the SWAC, even though they still have a long way to go (5:03 😭), and btones got some more work to do.
