I was at this concert and you can't imagine how beautiful it was in this theatre outside of Pisa, in the middle of nothing surrounded by fields of cut grass, hay, and the peace that surrounded the event with Italian, American, Korean vocalists and musicians that are appreciated by Andrea Bocelli. That atmosphere, the artists from the vocalists to the musicians to the technicians...the ambience...(plus the fact that someone gave me the ticket when she couldn't go, at the last minute) made it into a perfect night on a perfect weekend. Just glorious! I find it a shame that Elisa is not known, more or less, outside of Italy though she lives right outside of San Francisco. I don't know why but when I think of her, hear her, I think of Joan Baez when she was younger. Something about her persona and in her voice, in some ways, that makes me think of Joan Baez and the folk music that she loves. I think Elisa would made a marvelous folk singer. Anyway....that's all.

I spent years without being able to listen to this music, because someone I loved deeply lived in the other side of the world and we know we could never be together. So we followed our lives separatelly. After 11 years we got in touch again and we discovered nothing was a lie. Now I can listen to this again.

Look up Lisa Fischer, she has the best control of any vocalist I've ever heard. I saw her live and it was like a magical experience. She has perfect pitch which obviously helps with vocal control.

Uaoooo .., una versione live con varianti che pochissime sanno fare AL MONDO!. Non sono daccordo col preferirla all'incisa. L'ascoltai per la prima volta in 'A time for dancing' e me ne innamorai. La versione originale e' incredibilmente bella, struggente, azzeccatissima in quel contesto. Molto carica di drammaticita' e disperazione, profonda e perduta come l'abisso piu' profondo. Questa versione mette in evidenza le grandissime doti vocali di questa straordinaria artista ITALIANA!. Semplicemente una fuoriclasse ..
