Bob Marley should be remembered for his love of music and his religion, nothing more and nothing less. I've watched interviews with people who knew him personally and they said he would have dismissed all this hype that surrounds him, when people call him a prophet. That he would have none of that kind of talk. He was a wonderful man who played absolutely perfect reggae. Most reggae sucks, his was so good that it gained him fans in Europe, and North America. That's how he was able to spread his message, he had the product. His music and his band. His documentaries say that the majority of his audiences were white people, not just his local Jamaican people. I think sometimes an overwhelming amount of attention is put on him for separate reasons, political reasons. It distracts from what his gift to us truly was, his music.
Love to see this. I have Reggae musicians who I enjoy more, like Peter Tosh, Ranking Toyan, Junior Blues and Black Uhuru. But no one will even take the throne like Robert did. I’m so glad he was part of all of our lives. He not only made Reggae my favorite genre of music, but he made me open myself up to who I was and who I can be.
I’m a metal head. And a reggae fanatic. The weirdest combination. I know. But reggae music helps me be free and allows me to smile and be happy. Even when I listen to DJ style like Josey Wales and Yellowman. Eek-a-Mouse gets me too.
As someone who has dived deep into this fantastic genre of music, I can say, if it wasn’t for Marley, most of us wouldn’t have been able to feel it.

I've looked up to Bob Marley since I was very young. I had such a rough childhood but the one thing my parents seemed to bond with was his music, and it brought me and my brothers together too. Listening to his music is truely a special memory I won't forget. He really spread such great messages, and he made me believe everything would turn out ok. Rip man

I think more.folks of Christian faith could much benefit from his teachings. Everything he speaks to aligns with the ways of Jesus.
