This is how I feel when listen to this song It is like when you are trying to make sense of your sorrow, bitterness, and sufferring , trying to let it go and there is still the resentment, hope, and hatred..but you finally accept it... then peace comes.

Amazing! I used to wake up to this when I was crossing to France on the Brittany Ferries .....I had a house in France. It was the beginning of luxury - to wake to this and know I was nearing Saint Malo and all the beauty of France. Maralyn Lai
Thank you for doing this! I’ve only been playing violin for a year and a half, and when I hear songs such as this, I always wonder if I’m able to play it myself. This helps me tremendously!
Oh, yes, but I will leave it up to you. I've been wanting to play more classical music, but can't seem to find any that I can play at my level. Can you suggest something? I just took up violin at age 48 so I really know nothing!
Oh yes, I'd suggest something like Monti's Czardas: www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/Czardas.html A lot of fun to play... and I could suggest many more. If you ever come up with anything, please, let us know! Thank you again ;)
We're playing this piece for my school's spring concert and I'm borderline weeping when our soloist plays it (Update: we played it and it sounded very nice)
He's probably playing it as a natural harmonic on the 2nd string. You can also play it as an artificial harmonic on the second string in 1st position with the 3rd finger.
I think he plays A5 harmonic on the A string (for the penultimate note), followed by A6 harmonic on the A string (for the final note) (not the artificial harmonic D in the score in the video).
Of course! The only problem is to find a good video recording of it (with a real performer like in this one). Do you have a video recording on UA-cam to suggest?
We'll see if we can find a video or recording of a version of it similar to ours. We'll do our best to make it happen. I am so glad to know this helps with your practice. And thank you for the request!
The ones in the score don't match what MV does. For example, at 03:05 he does a quaver (eighth) of vibrato on finger 4 (rather than 2 as in the score) then switches to finger 3. I will try that! Also, MV uses different fingerings on different occasions - all good ones though! And some very interesting indeed, but also quite tricky to play with good intonation.
Unfortunately not because we used the video of the recording you can see. But... we have a piano accompaniment video: www.virtualsheetmusic.com/video/PAV-Meditation.html or you can enjoy the free accompaniment files included with the sheet music we sell: www.virtualsheetmusic.com/score/Meditation.html#tab=mp3
This would have been much more helpful if the video only showed the bowing and fingering along with the sheet music. Cutting to the orchestra or conductor has neither educational nor entertainment value.
This video is using an original performance video with added sheet music. They don’t have Vengerov perform to make this video, so that they can show his fingerings or bowing. It is a lot of work to do even this. Anyways, if you’re looking for that kind of educational video, this is the wrong place to look or complain. Also, professionals have their own interpretations and therefore different fingerings/bowings than the conventional way or even from each other, so looking at their’s is not necessarily going to help anyone.
It would still be interesting and helpful. I think the fingerings in this piece, which doesn't present extraordinary technical challenges, for the most part are implicit in the music itself. Some of Vengerov's bowings are different from the sheet music, which in any case are not necessarily those of the original score.
This is one of those songs you pick up when you're too frustrated to work on your current concerto piece, and I love it for that
This takes me through the forest, like wings of a bird flying along in such a atmosphere ,

So sweetly and anxiously mournful, it brings tears to the listeners eyes . . .
This a most gorgeous piece of music
It must have been written by the angels.

Highs ,lows, all dynamics maintained through out the entire piece...a wonderful package.I salute Maxim Vangrov!

I ddidn't understand where did he played the last harmonique

How do you add sheet music to your videos? Can it be done on iMovie?
You can use iMovie to add edit videos with sheet music, but to synchronize the video with the sheet music we use a custom-made program.
Linda demais

🎶🥰💐👏
Playing along... 1min I’m already a car crash
This piece became famous by playing it more with the flute than with the violin ❤️❤️
Faked the audience out at the end!
