The motor came from a local supp;y house. I stop the motor two ways. First, the voltage runs through a micro switch before it hits the motor. When the platform hits either up or down, it throws the switch that cuts power to the motor. I also use a timed relay as a safety. So if my switch fails, the relay times out.
There are no plans. The screws are simple threaded rod that I had milled to remove the treads on the end that I attached the sprocket to. You can see how the belt system is designed in the video. The real key to success is a bushing that is embedded in the plywood shelve that the TV sits on. The bushing helped distribute the load evenly and keep the shelve from binding.

I WOULD LOVE TO KNW THE MAJORITY OF HOW ITS BUILD CUZ MY SON AND I WOULD LOVE TO BUILD ONE FOR MY WIFE FOR HER BIRTHDAY... SORRY IF IM ASKIN TO MUCH.. DO YOU KNW WHAT KIND OF MOTOR FOR A 50" TV...??? Yes Matt. There is a bushing around the milled end of the threaded rod. Then both the bushing and end of the rod sit on a washer!

Is that grease on the treaded shaft? All you need is a kid to put there hands on the grease and there will be grease all over the house
Good observation. The box is closed however with no access unless the back is removed.

Brian Hurrell I don't know the MN# but it was a Dayton Gear motor. I believe it pulls 4-5 amps!
