Gonna point out my dumb mistakes before anyone else has the chance to:
1. Drinking nutrients instead of mega dash juice (WTF!?)
2. Horribly missing the first attempt to knock him out of the air (I got him later at least!)
3. Forgetting how to rearrange item combos to put ancient potions on top
4. Healing at really bad times
5. Carting instantly after a previous cart
6. Feel free to point out anything else! :D
This run could be improved a lot obviously with more practice but still happy to get it done. EX Deadeye has some pretty huge hitboxes that make him harder than he looks. Guild and adept style are both better for this fight I'm sure, but I find Valor more fun :) - Ігри
Just found your channel and I really like your "ordinary" playstyle that people can relate to. Carting and drinking potions like a madman but still fighting on! Reminds me of myself :D Also love that you made it work with your kind of crappy charm. Very impressed! I have killed 3 EX solo, but I honestly struggle so much with even unlocking this one. Any tips for Deadeye G5 quest with 2 deadeyes and a silverwind? I play 100 % solo btw
This fight was definitely a struggle! Was the first EX monster I tried and I kinda got wrecked 😂. I do have some actual good runs on my channel but some monsters like this one are just too hard for me to do an actual good run lol. I would say to try adept style. It might take some getting used to but Deadeye and Silverwind are both very predictable. I get hit a lot less with adept hammer but it’s not as fun as valor for me so I almost never use it. Also I have better charms now so maybe I’ll revisit the fight sometime with a better set 😆😆
@@caolanberg3837 Yeah I wrote my comment before I saw your newer ones - I see now that you have improved a lot both in skill and equipment! Very cool and inspiring seeing your valor hammer vs mizutsune. I recently forced myself to learn my first valor style weapon (hammer) just because I wanted to get A rank on every arena quest solo (I managed to do it, but yian garuga gave me a hard time :)) I haven´t had so much fun with a weapon in a long time. Makes me happy to think I have around 6 weapons left AND a lot of cool styles to discover in this game. Anyway I'm rambling - just wanted to say I like your videos and it is inspiring to see something other than close-to-perfect runs here on youtube. I will try Deadeye G5 soon and your suggestion is kind of what I thought. Adept hammer is my go-to safe weapon but I tend to run out the clock or get close to it when I use it in the harder quests. We'll see how it goes!
@@joekitoeki Honestly unless you are a god, the G5 quests are hell to solo. No shame in doing multi for those. When solo, I always try to run fortify and insurance so I can cart twice and still be left with 2 carts and they STILL take forever! I don’t find those quests fun at all lol.
And yeah I’ve spent a ton of time fighting Mizu, like a couple of hours a week for the last year practicing all the weapons on him lol! I’m usually terrible when I start fighting a monster but amazing what practice can do! Valor hammer is so fun man, over the last couple of years I’ve probably put about 1k hours in this game and I’d say 600-700 of those are with Valor hammer. It’s the only weapon style I just never get sick of no matter how much I play.
And yes, perfect runs are very rare here 😆 I consider myself a casual player, with the occasional tryhard runs vs monsters I really like 😛
You did very good because even tho u carted 2x times u won and thats what matters.

Simon Shura Thanks for the nice comment! I think for us non super pro players just beating him is good enough so I will be satisfied with this lol.
I’m sure you will get him if you keep at it! What weapon/style are you using? I see a lot of runs using bow against regular Garuga, not sure if it’s good against this one though.
And yes I will always use hammer!! It kinda sucks for a lot of endgame monsters in this game but I use it anyway cause it’s the most fun for me. Fun >>> kill times. Looking forward to Iceborne though, it’s actually pretty strong in that game 🙂
Hammer is nice solo since aggro towards you = head facing you
Loaf of Bread I agree it’s great for regular monsters, definitely my favourite! I don’t think it’s the best for most of the deviants though, some of them have pretty ridiculous stagger and KO limits, making hammer feel a bit weak :/

The way your ran in to try and knock him out of the sky reminds me of something that happened to me while fighting a normal Yian Garuga.
I use Charge Blade and he had just tailflipped. I did an SAED (Super Amped Elemental Discharge) to try and catch him landing after the flip. He then pulled his "Gotcha, fool" flying far back to line up another flip, making my first swing miss. Then, he flew back in for the second tailflip and my second swing, the one with all the actual power behind it, then sniped him in the head while coming down and knocked him to the ground. Sometimes, luck is the only thing saving you...
EX!! Ooooohhhh!! It is possible!
This fight is basically a "do not get hit by the enemy" game
he one shots you by doing the "mega dash" and the consistent beak attack can make you dive so much
so much that he might end it off with shoving the ground out of the ground to kill you
this fight has made me have a run for my money so much that i had to run away alot, and he manages to get me still in G-RANK.
Because i love deadeye, it made me make a build for Yian Garuga in MHS2 with Grimclaw, Bloodbath, and More Moves.
Are planning to fight deadeye ex again in near future
