If Kreese and Daniel had a interaction like Miguel O'Hara and Miles Morales, Kreese would say: !!That's exactly what you are, you're just a sensei, who has no idea what he's doing!!
I didnt watch the whole chat yet, maybe someone brought it already up. But Robby was the only guy who knew Kreese was in the Valley and tried to recruit Tory. He promised her not to tell anyone. Since he didnt and basically followed her wish, she has to say thank you to him for that. They gave each other a promise _"dont matter what will happen, we stick together"_ . I think we gonna see know if Robby has grown or if he still is the same as in S5. To give her that ultimatum to leave CK or I gonna leave you was imo not fair. About Daniel: He annoys me in his current state. More and more I am realizing Tory was somehow right. Because episode 5 was so emotional, many forget what did happen before. Alredy in E4 Daniel doubted if Tory is really Miyagi-Do. He told this to Johnny, who said Miyagi would have nominated Tory in a blink. And Samantha also said earlier something like she doesnt know if Tory really wants to M-D, or if she only wants to fight in the tournament. But Sam changed her view in E3 I think after she finally made peace with Tory. All these things are not mentioned very often. But now about Daniel: I am so tired of him in his current state. Johnny was right, Daniel is first and foremost a car seller, not a sensei, thats only a part-time thing for him. When Chozen told im in S3: _"Sometimes you dont have a choice, but to kill"_ proved that. Daniel just said something like: _"Oh no, today we dont need this anymore"_ . Daniel is actually the one who brings the kids now in danger. He trains them too passive, always this almost-only-defense stuff, he cant let it got! And he still didnt understand Miyagi's final lesson. Miyagi was the root for Daniel's karate. But Daniel's karate will grow differently. But Daniel still sticks to this rubbish about _"anyone has to fight like Miyagi wanted it"_ , his negative quote towards Tory in E4 underlines that. The one and only real Miyagi-Do sensei is Chozen Toguchi, not Daniel LaRusso. Want a prove? Look what he taught his own daughter Samantha about the drum. Sam thinks to this day "the drum" is only defensive stuff in defelcting the arms, you saw it when she showed it to Miguel in S3. Daniel never taught her the full technique, which are deadly palm strikes to the skull as offensive, and deflecting arms and moving torso and hip as defensive. Daniel is simply unable to see these things. If Miyagi would have send the Valley kids in this tournament, he would prepare them like warriors, not like some high school students. Kwon Jaesung would kill Kyler or Stingray in 10 seconds if he wants, but Daniel is still too ignorant to see that. I agree with that one guy in the chat who wrote Daniel is too soft for this tournament. I hope we see a scenario when Chozen finally goes back in warrior mode like he was in S3, In some fotos we earlier this year we saw Kreese in a fight scene with Yuji "Chozen"'s stunt double, so this Kreese vs Chozen fight could maybe happen. Martin Kove had a sword in his hand. @ WP: About Miyagi's real given name (birth name): You do you think it was Keisuke and he later changed it to Nariyoshi?
Daniel is proof that Miyagi's teachings are not bulletproof. He can't control his anger and still struggles with everything he always has. Johnny is more like Miyagi than Daniel would ever be. That is the story they have been telling since season 1.
_"Daniel is proof that Miyagi's teachings are not bulletproof"_ I wouldnt say that. Its just Daniel's character is the problem. He is first and foremost a car seller and not a sensei, that s only a part-time job for him. He still doenst understand Miyagi's final lesson, Miyagi was just the root for Daniel's karate, but his tree is different. Daniel still wants to teach the kids like robots, all the same without personal freedom. And I wouldnt be surprised if in the end of this show, it will be the case that the young Miyagi was like Johnny. They have so many similarities. - Both didnt get the girl the really loved (Ali and Yukie), - both knocked up a woman which was only a sceond choice (Shannon and this girl Miyagi knocked up), - both suffered tragedy because the got cold feet, the difference between them is Miyagi's ex and child died, while Johnny didnt care for Shannon and Robby, - both like to drink and fight at some point. Maybe in the end of E15, Daniel will be a full-time car seller again, and Johnny is the one who keeps Miyagi's legacy alive by teaching Miyagi-Do. Some people dont even get it that Cobra Kai stands for evil, it stands for the legacy of the Kim-Clan and nothing else. Silver and Kreese only transleted the korean word for "Cobra Kai" to in latin alphabet to English, but its till the same symbol only with a different clolor of the snake. Of course its all speculative, but for some reason I almost hope Daeun killed Tory's mother Grace, and Kwon will hurt some of the Valley kids badly. Only a scenario like this would finally making people realize this name Cobra Kai stands for evil and nothing else.
@@chrisbach1533finally someone who thinks like me that is how I think is going to happen Johnny teaching miyagi do maybe with Robby so many People think because of the stingray thing that Johnny will take back cobra Kai when it is all said and done which would be character regression on Johnny's part
@@conormoffett5505 Nice :)! Johnny understands now that C.K. only stands for negative things. But still so many (I guess mostly younger) fans of this show dont understand that. The name Cobra Kai is tainted forever. Dont matter who uses it and on which place in the world he teaches, it is the legacy of the antagonist in the Miyagi-verse Kim Sun-yung, and Sunyung stands for evil, like Miyagi stands for good. Sunyung is like Skeletor and Miyagi is like He-Man if you take the _Masters of the Universe_ franchise as example. So when I always still read comments like _"Johnny will re-open Cobra Kai again"_ , or _"Tory belongs to Cobra Kai"_ , i can only shake my head in disbelieve. People who write that dont understand the Miyagiverse at all. And both _Cobra Kai_ and _The Karate Kid_ saga are inside the Miyagiverse. I can tell you so much: Billy Zabka had a phone call with Pat Morita not long before Pat died in 2005. And they began to talk about Johnny Lawrence. Pat said something like he could imagine if Miyagi dies, Johnny would be his doctor. Of course this cant happen anymore. But it shows Morita cared about Johnny Lawrence. He liked that character and always knew Johnny was in his heart a good guy, always! He was only brainwashed as a teenager. Even Kreese suffered a trauma through the loss of Betsy, he was also a good guy before that. Buttom line I am very sure Pat Morita would aboslute like that scenario that Johnny Lawrence in 2019/20 would be the sensei in the Valley who teaches Miyagi-Do, and keeps the legacy of Miyagi alive. Johnny is in his heart a real sensei and karateka. For Daniel it was the case when he was a teenager, but his heart is not so much in it, its a part-time thing for him, he is first and foremost a car seller. Johnny s primary passion is karate, Daniel's is being a car seller. Of course we dont know what will happen, but I hope for something like this: In the end Robby will end like Daniel in Okinawa vs Kwon, a fight to the death. Using karate like Miyagi always wanted it, to defend yourself and others, in Robbys case it would be defending himself and Tory. And "The Drum" from Miyagi-Do would save his life, the technique that was named by Miyagi as "the secret of M-D family karate". That would imo be a closing circle that in the end in all of this, a MIyagi-Do technique saves the life of Johnny's son. Nothing could be better and would honor MIyagi more. And Johnny would cry like a baby, and it would be an honor for him to teach Miyagi-Do in the Valley for rest of his life. But yeah thats only my dream scenario. I hope at least a little bit will become true.
@@chrisbach1533 I am hyped reading that I hope is how it plays out but I think it well I heard that pat always wanted Johnny as his doctor people think the show was redeeming cobra Kai but it was redeeming Johnny and showing it is not all black and white
Same. I am very disappointed, partly because I had very high expectations. I do think part 2 and 3 will be much better although I am keeping expectations super low
In Karate Kid 3, Miagi stayed in Boston. Didn't he invite Julie's grandma to stay at his place in the valley ? If so, Daniel would have probably been in contact with her. I can't remember if she took Miagi up on his offer, though. Please, let me know if she did.
I did like S6 beginning (more than S5) as it dialled back some of the more ridiculous elements. That being said i didn't like the Korea stuff! Kim Sung Yung is depicted as a very one-note villain who is evil for evil's sake. I don't mind having true villains (not everybody needs nuance) but it has to be somewhat believable that people would want to train with and respect such an abusive, cruel, cold character. He looks like he's come from the wrong show because of his cartoonish Pei Mei master beard. A more believable depiction of a nonegenerian might've made it feel like less he's from an old Hong Kong fantasy film. So far he and Kim Da Eun have been a bit cheesy. I'm not sure how i feel about this large backstory about Kreese and Silver being true disciples of Karate. In the films they didn't seem to have great respect for the art. They both only ever seemed interested in the fighting aspect.
I have 1 thing that annoyed me so far is devon whinging because she's not receiving attention... It actually annoyed the shit out of me. And daniel and johnny arguing didn't bother me because they are like brothers fighting over petty shit. 😂😂
Daniel: “We don’t teach these kids to fight with anger”.. Immediately after he sucker-punches Johnny out of ANGER 😆
This show does a great job illustrating that Daniel is actually the “real bully”
If Kreese and Daniel had a interaction like Miguel O'Hara and Miles Morales, Kreese would say:
!!That's exactly what you are, you're just a sensei, who has no idea what he's doing!!
Daniel immediately regretted punching Johnny the same way Darryl Curtis regretted smacking Sodapop

Watchparty do you think the photo of miyagi in the passport will be the actor who plays young miyagi in the miyagi spinoff?
Maybe
Did they actually retcon Miyagi’s age to when he was born in 1918 bc Amanda said people lie about their age all the time
I’m a real life Sensei. Most of the story is full of fiction 😅
But it is entertaining
Disagree with you watch party on that
