I played the jp version (released a month ago, the game has english on it but locked, a mod changed jp to english language and voila), the story is good but still, It isn't as great as Neo: twewy or the original one.
Y’all ruin gaming when you start expecting every game to be on par with your Triple A favs and have imax level graphical capabilities. Just play the games for what they are, or don’t. Getting in the comment sections shitting on everything just gives the vibe that you don’t get out much
too many people are looking for "perfect" not realizing certain games are made that way.. people will say something negative before they speak on the positive.. its sad majority of folks are like that
I think by the looks of it, FuRyu made this game that looks like it came out of the early days of the PS3 and 360 before it got hit titles that exceeds the console's limits like Blue Dragon, and Final Fantasy XIII. Since Versus XIII was originally a AA PS3 game, they somehow made it look the way it is, regardless of the game's budget. And I respect that.
I was about to get into the useless conversation that is happening in this comment section. Just, give this game a chance, the demo has been released, take a different mindset while playing it and try to enjoy things instead of just getting the X/reddit attitude to hate everything just for the sake of being a snob.
This game actually has a few positive sides: 1. It runs on my shitty laptop which can't handle CSGO and barely handles Ultrakill demo 2. Its gameplay is better than certain niche JRPGs I have in my Steam library as well as their original PS3 versions digitally on PSN Might buy it if the price is ok
@KirikkSiSq I was actually kinda reluctant at the beginning (as any other person looking at gameplay recordings with no analysis on it). Cinematics don't look "good" as per today's standards, but after getting more into the game, it seems that this is only an artistic design choice to make the game look like this on purpose, because some things in-game, the menus design, etc, look great once that you actually get used to them. The evasion mechanics feels amazingly rewarding after you start to dominate them.
I think $60 is a bit steep for this, considering there are similar games like Wuthering Waves that you can play for “free” (with quite better polish too). Maybe during a lull period when it drops down to $20-$30 I’ll consider it.
I think it's worth at least $40. 😅 Anything below that is a steal. But yeah, I agree, $60 a bit too steep for what it's presenting itself to be. Unless the content is really there to make it worth it. I'm not gonna judge the graphics because this is the Switch. Most games (unless you make them cartoony) tend to look outdated on the Switch. Not their fault. Hopefully they make a PC port like SMT V did.
I get old final fantasy vibes from the animation in this game and I like that. I’m definitely down to play it. The combat takes a bit to get used to but it’s cool to me.
Game seems okay. Definitely not triple A from the looks of things. I notice that the animations do get stiff. Gameplay is great although clunky. But the premise grabbed me.
This game has a lot of potential but £53 on Nintendo Switch is stupidly high in price for a game like this. It should be max £20 considering the graphics are like that of a PS3 or Nintendo Wii and there isn’t even anything remotely out of the world amazing about this game, except the somewhat open world element it has
The game scenario already mentioned curfew, hence lesser people. But technically this is a AA developer so there's limitations. Haters just want to hate. If the story and combat is good, dun mind getting it to support the developer
@さくらガンダム What are you on about? There are tons of other Japanese games that are way better than this crap. Stop acting salty over a game. That will be mediocre at best.
Atrocious game The final boss is some Bahamut rip off and the combat is all janky and floaty, the story is recycled stuff we've seen before (and better executed) in other animes, games, movies, people thinking this is going to feel like FF versus are mistaken
Out of the three, metaphor is the only one my underpowered ultrabook laptop can theoretically handle, but SEGA's no regional prices policy is honestly disgusting so nah, I aint gonna buy it
@merakiphotos4603 I don't even like the Mana games, and I know I'd have a better time with Visions instead of this, lol Same brother! Gonna be a hell of a time 🔥🙏🏼
I was expecting it to be a little flimsy but this game ended up being unfulfilling. Makes a lot of promises but doesn’t follow up on them well. Im sure some characters play good and have nice combos but the game isn’t polished
Wow a big open city that's empty Let me guess you run around in this big open Empty city run to this objective. Watch a cut scene now.I need you to run To this objective, and here's some dialogue now. Run to this objective and go fight something rents washing. Repeat, I guarantee it. I feel no effort was made into this game I'm so disappointed they could've did something nice with this the general idea of it is cool but it's looks and probably feels like a early ps3 game and it looks like there's no world building side quests or anything just go here fight and that's it the game could've been way better
Here's the full demo. 2 chapters and ends with a boss fight. Full game end of the month. What do you guys think so far?
Wait this month or next month is the full game

The game is trash. It looks like a ps2 game

Just had to see how elite those elites were when you trended.
and yep, they're def elite allright.
Robotics movements on scenes like ps2 games
Looks like a psvita game, i like it. Looks fun.
Interesting Characters however something is missing in this game
So the unaffiliate wields a giant lightsaber, disguised as a pen? Interesting.
holy crap burger king is in this game
clunky and floaty

60fps on ps4 as well?
Yep💀
@@gudacoo Since when was 60fps an issue? Last I checked, that's all you people wanted, but now you're whining about it.
Reminds me of Dragenkard series before Nier came to be.
It looks decent but will easily get lost in a sea of similar and superior games.
Looks boring. Not gonna buy for sure.
I thought it was on switch
Graphics look like a mobile game when all the characters are standing still and being lectured. If this is an indie game, then that's forgivable
It's made with Unity. Not UE5
I didn't expect it to be triple A honestly since it's from FuRyu though. More like Double A quality
i will buy the game whith dlc.
Hopefully kingdom hearts 4 and Verum Rex is better !
The music remind me about ffX
no english dub is pretty dissapointing. too mcuh going on the screen as is
star ocean 4 side evade ?

I get what you mean, but I think they got a point in this one.
For example min 26:12 looks super empty and the price will be of $60 if I’m not wrong.
Not hating but this game is like it's from 2007
