The One Show Oscar Wilde Exclusive inside Reading Jail !!

I was an inmate in Reading Prison from late 1995 to mid 1997 and I spent 4 months in Oscar Wilde's cell. I remember it well as Euro 1996 was on and Oasis were playing at Reading festival and I could her it through the cell window. Not a pround time of my younger life but none the less, it was memorable and I met some interesting people. One of my jobs as a red band was being let out of the prison every morning to collect litter from around the prison and old abbey ruins. Its a shame that I could not return to see these works of art as it would of also been rather strange returning to the place I was incarcerated as a 20 year old. I will never forget that place and the cold cell I spent those 4 months in before being moved to another part of the prison.
