I come from a family where my father was Christian and my mother was Buddhist (more agnostic really). THIS IS AN ANECDOTE. I don't know about others really on this because those around me had parents with similar beliefs. Though my family is great I can tell you that this puts a strain in a relationship. My mother simply didn't really understand why my dad felt the need to volunteer time to God or why he wanted to tithe. What ended up happening was causing my dad to make compromises that hurt his relationship with God. There is a lot of other stuff that affected this that I just don't have the time to get into honestly, so if it feels incomplete you're right. Good news though, my Mom now goes to church with my Dad on Sunday's and is starting to understand some of it.
I like that you pointed out how your parents are an anecdote, an exception to the rule. The boy that said “oftentimes” was me. I am currently in a unequally yoked marriage, and though I have seen how God has worked many things for our benefit out of love for me, I know that life could be very different if my husband were born again as well. He is not opposed in any way to my beliefs, and is not antagonistic towards our boys regarding me raising them believing in Christ and that is why I stay. There is peace for the most part. I am so happy for your parents that your mom joins your dad in church now. I can imagine that has brought so much joy to your dad. ❤️
Those who follows Buddhism also spends a lot of time at the temple. I’m not sure how far Buddhism runs in your mom but my family spends a lot of time worshipping from morning to night. My family is Buddhist but I’m a catholic.
Nah. You just have to be married to someone who is supportive in your belief and lifestyle choices. I am a catholic and my husband follows no religion. We’ve been married 10 years
@Mickey Last they will be disciplined but being liberal isn’t a religion. If they want to follow me that’s fine. If they want to follow my parents into Buddhism that’s also fine. If they do not believe in religions, that’s also fine too. With kids, I want them to grow into authentic adults who understand from right and wrong. I’m not going to control their thoughts, feelings or spirituality.
@@Layniacsofficial - "You just have to be married to someone who is supportive in your belief and lifestyle choices" Disagree. Marriage is a team sport. I don't want somebody that just "supports" what I believe, but rather somebody that believes it too and lives their life accordingly. Sure you can stay married for a long time, but you're not really fulfilling the potential of that marriage. "Being liberal isn't a religion" A political ideology can absolutely be a religion. It's a form of idolatry. For instance, being a radical leftist today IS a religion for many. Distinctly. But then again, a liberal and a leftist are not the same thing.
I've dated non-Christians. It always affects the relationship and your relationship with God and your fellowship with your Church peeps. If it's not affecting your relationship with God... It may be because there's not a relationship with God. Maybe that's harsh? But I honestly can't imagine the Holy Spirit not convicting that decision and protecting the Christian's heart to keep it turned toward the Lord in the long-tem.
My pastor refused to marry my husband and I. He said we were unequally yoked, i took it personally then and married him anyway, i was wrong. My husband doesn't believe in God, as i do and he never tried, our marriage never stood a chance, because we were always on the opposite end of any issue. I blame my decisión on youth.
Same sort of thing happened to me when I married. He was originally supportive of my faith, but then grew resentful and aggressively “anti” anything related to my faith. He would openly mock Christians online, and I took that as mocking me personally. He was a “typical nice guy” who turned out to be a selfish jerk. We are now divorced. Divorcing him was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was lucky we hadn’t managed to have kids together.
@he was If Jesu3a is number 1 in your life and you love talking about him, learning about him you would never be able to share the most important treasure in your life with a nonbeliever. You will always have to compromise for him. I've been there and done that, it doesn't work in the longterm.
@he was Your discernment shows this is not what God wants for you. That guy will only lead you away from Christ, don't believe the lie that you can save him. Stand strong in the faith, do not give the devil any leeway. Be patient, there's a single Christian guy out there waiting to meet you.
Not remotely. I already had a kid before I married him, and I never wanted more. If I ever change my mind about children (which is highly unlikely!) there is foster care/adoption. And being single for the rest of my life instead vs constantly cleaning up after a man-sized toddler because he thinks his plumbing gives him superiority over me? No thanks. I’ll take being single every day with joy. I was the main income earner in the relationship, I was the one doing all the work around the house, and I was the one paying all the bills. The only thing in his own name was his own mobile phone and car (which he had before he married me). He only married me for my internet access anyway. My personal happiness has never been reliant on other people, it has always been reliant on God. Also there is no reason why I can’t possibly marry or have more kids if I ever felt inclined to do so. I have had plenty of offers. I am just not interested.
Another awesome video brother. I remember first talking with my now girlfriend. I was all in with my faith and she told me that she never really got “into Christianity”. I was straight up with her about my faith and honestly I was almost aggressive in a way lol because I told her that in a girlfriend I want someone I can pray with and read the Bible with and think deep about theological things with and from day one we read together in the word almost 6 days a week. We prayed every night together and talk so much about God and her questions about Christ and Christianity. I’m saying all this because I think it is possible to be “talking” with someone who isn’t necessarily a Christian. BUT! As a Christian I strive for Christian relationships because if I know someone and love them and they don’t know Christ, of course I want them to have a personal relationship with Jesus. So my first goal is for them to know Christ. Though it’s SO HARD to not do things for a girl out of pure infatuation for them lol. So it’s tuff. You have to be all in. She later told me that the only reason she read in the beginning and prayed and all that stuff was because she said that when I would talk about Jesus and what He meant to me, it showed her that what I believed in was something different. Something that she wanted. PEOPLE WILL SEE JESUS IN YOU. When that happens, point to Jesus and give God the glory. Now my girlfriend is all in. The fruits of the spirit are so evident in her life. God changed her heart. I couldn’t think of being in a relationship (with a girlfriend) that doesn’t have that. Love the videos. You know your word so well. Keep building the kingdom brother!
Agree, you'll compromise your relationship with God. The longer you're in the relationship, the more it will drain you emotionally and spiritually. I thank Jesus that He freed me from it and now is blessed with a godly man that truly pursues the heart of God. The Lord is indeed good!
There is a big difference between dating and marrying. A lot of the people that disagreed with this question immediately talked about marriage. Now, I realize that you marry who you date. But if I was dating somebody that wasn't a Christian but were searching and open to the idea that would be a little different for me. But ultimately, I couldn't marry a non-Christian.
So I am a Christian who is waiting until engagement to kiss just like the awesome girl in the video :) I can say that it was mostly my partner's conviction, but I looked to Paul's advice in 1 Corinthians 8:13, "Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble." Although I didn't personally have a conviction on kissing before engagement, my partner does so I choose to serve him in that way, humble myself, and put aside my own desires in favor of honoring his desire to save that for the commitment of marriage. He didn't force me into doing that, that's just how it goes. In the same way I have a conviction that I will not drink even lightly, and I have many reasons for it. He doesn't have that conviction, but won't drink around me or try to persuade me to have a drink. With the "gray area" issues that aren't sins necessarily but *could* lead to sin down the road, it really is up to you analyzing yourself and your predispositions, as well as of course lots of prayer and discernment. Kissing before marriage is not a sin, nor is drinking at all, but for some it could open a door towards a path leading to sin that you'd rather stay far away from.
This is fantastic. It is so important to know what let's us stumble back into submission to feed our fleshly desires. Jesus washed you clean so why would you make yourself unclean again if Jesus only died once? We should not take God's grace forgranted. ❤
And His lack of it, or indeed, any action at all, on behalf of Jews and other victims, of say, Augustine, Calvin, Torquemada, and Gregory XIII? (Regarding Grace, power, efficacy, possibly, etc) Leaving doubt on who's free will, perhaps, was prioritized, more?
YESSS THIS IS GREAT!! Thank you for the verse!!!! Personal convictions and being aware of how you influence others is so important to keep in mind as a Christian!!
@@melancholicpeaceencapsulated but that is much the point I made about Torquemada, Gregory XIII and Calvin, too, however? And Augustine's somewhat questionable interpretation of 1 Corinthians 10. I was lost for most of my adult life. Atheist when I met my partner who is also atheist. God found me 7 years into my relationship and it is hard but I am so blessed that my partner although he doesn’t understand he accepts it and let’s me involve our child in my faith. I keep planting seeds and pray each light the Lord will give him a new heart. It is very hard because I want to do this with him, and the husband is meant to lead. But God put us together for a reason and I am in this until the end. It’s also heartbreaking to know that he will be one of the left behind but I’ve done what I can.. and with all the things I’ve told him once we are gone, he will believe.

The other day, I was watching one of those crowd worship videos. And there was this guy who was worshiping God with his hands raised in the air, and his eyes were closed, and you could see he was enjoying being in the presence of God. I found that to be absolutely beautiful, to see a man love God like that. That was when I decided that I wouldn’t want to date a man who isn’t Christian. Also, I was once in a “friendstionship” kinda thing with a Muslim guy, and in the time when we were together, talking about our religions was such a touchy subject. Even though we didn’t mind each other’s religions, our relationship wasn’t great in my opinion. You can’t pray, go to church or worship with that person. Sooo yeah. Thanks Isaac for this reaction 😌🙌🏾
Wow! I loved this video. I remember when I was starting out in my faith (which was just a few months ago actually) I remember always being concerned with the do's and the the don'ts of Christianity and whether or not I was doing everything right but as I continue to grow in my faith things like those don't bother me anymore. I realized that we cannot be perfect and that's why Jesus gave us grace. I mean, even your thoughts and standards change and that comes as a result of the mind being transformed. (Romans 12:2) . Christianity really does consume you ( in all the right ways of course) Its amazing! Your videos are amazing, keep up the good work. God bless you, my brother in Christ!
Straight outta the gate, this is something so near and dear to my heart. As a late 20s who is single, many many people try to play matchmaker, and the first question I ask is if the individual is a Christian. Obviously this answer is just the tip of the iceberg, but so important.
My husband and I shared our first, his very first kiss for our wedding day. After my tainted past I wanted to honor his virginity. I was his very first relationship.
Such a solid and powerful response! Thank you for all you do, and keep it up! Your ministry has helped me in my walk with Christ tremendously, and I really appreciate it.

Property in foreign slaves is here distinctly permitted. It was a patriarchal custom Genesis 17:12. Such slaves might be captives taken in war (Numbers 31:6 following; Deuteronomy 20:14), or those consigned to slavery for their crimes, or those purchased of foreign slave-dealers. The price of a slave is supposed to have varied from thirty to fifty shekels. See Leviticus 27:3-4, note; Exodus 21:32, note; Zechariah 11:12-13, note; Matthew 26:15, note. It was the object of Moses, not at once to do away with slavery, but to discourage and to mitigate it. The Law would not suffer it to be forgotten that the slave was a man, and protected him in every way that was possible at the time against the injustice or cruelty of his master. See the notes at Exodus 21.

The Bible doesn't plainly say no kissing before marriage. But it also doesn't give a full list of what is and isn't fornication. If when the Bible was written it was understood that kissing before marriage was fornication, then this is a black and white issue. I gues a similar example is when the second commandment(Exodus 20:4-5) was considered to mean no art at all, but when it was written, the Israelites understood that the phrasing clearly meant idolatrous stuff.
This is the problem, a problem I am incredibly guilty of. We as Christians(many of us) tend to look at Jesus death as he died for our sins and therefore we can freely sin and still be forgiven. WRONG! The point is that we can never in this life be sinless but we should strive to be sinless with everything we have. It is hard. But we have to acknowledge that rather than be ok and alter scripture to justify our lifestyle. Pray for me because I struggle with this HEAVILY
I would argue that you are right in saying that the guy saying religious people can marry people of other religions does not understand Christianity. I also think that there would be a lot less Christians if people truly understood Christianity. Go look at the comments on the jubilee video. People don't support the religion you're describing
I’m an ex heroin addict and sex addict if that’s a thing. Now clean and living for Jesus for 4 years, I wouldn’t support a sex before marriage community, but I know plenty of Christians with horrible pasts who are having sex and not married. They have a relationship with Jesus and know it’s wrong, but are too weak to completely change at the moment. They ask for Gods help because they can’t do it on their own. I believe if they died today they’d go to heaven, maybe a different level and messed up some blessings on earth. I believe the same for LGBTQ, the problem is that many start to hate God or completely change God to a different God.
Being with someone who believes the same and thinks very similar and that you can have conversations with and that you can come to an agreement with and even when you don't agree you can both together be like okay well what does the bible say about this, can help you be closer together and with God in the center. This is such a blessing. Don't settle for someone who is not compatible to you. Your lover is out there just trust in God keep praying about this.
I know of many cases where a Christian has dated a non Christian and the non Christian got saved because their partner shined their light to them. There’s obviously other cases where that doesn’t work out. I think it’s important to have a marriage where both people are dedicated to serving God. I think that dating is a little different but it’s definitely important to look for someone who is open and willing to hear what God has to offer. I definitely wouldn’t date or marry someone who completely refuses to believe in God. However, it’s still just as important to shine a light to them and ask God to help their unbelief
I am praying that God will provide a Christian wife for me, but He may provide non Christian wife. My dad's been Christian and married to non Christian wife. During the marriage my mom became Christian and she spread the Gospel to her family. And her mother which is my grandmother received it.
It's fairly easy for me to be with my non-believer partner. He is opened-minded to hear about the Bible. I can see his views changing in the upcoming months. We are extremely compatible (hobbies, attributes, mindset, etc.) That we coincidently think of something at the same time - like Sprite or wanting to ask a question. God has a humorous way of bringing the one into your life. Let him guide you to find the one.♡♡♡
Satan comes as an angel of light, other wise it would not be temptation. Satan knows what we like, can put thoughts in our minds, he is the master of deceiving. Not to judge you, but I was in the same position. I tried to do it Gods way as much as I could, but the more I tried to dedicate my life to God, the more strife there was in the relationship. I didn't want to life togehter as an unmarried couple anymore and eventually he asked me to marry him. I continued to ask God if there were hidden motives or things thatt were not from Him, that Je would bring it to the surface. 6 weeks before the wedding I started to see signs that the guy just did it for me, and did not want it himself. The relationship made us not better people but slowly changed us. I paused the wedding 2,5 weeks before to get more clarity, and after 3 months he had another girlfriend he had sex with (after our relationship of 12,5 years). God knew his heart and my desires to follow Jesus. I was single for 1,5 years and God tought me about marriage and relationships. I am now married almost 5 years to a man that follows Jesus, and the intimacy with God and my husband is nothinglike I could imagine before, it brought me closer to God. So please, pray for it and think about it.
This (and part 1) are the first time I've seen this guy and WOW he is so on point. Not just in beliefs but also in the way he thinks about these things. "I get nervous when Christians start putting gray issues in the black and white territory" that is super spot-on. I believe the correct view of morality is not just black-and-white and it's not just all gray, it's the wisdom to discern black-and-white issues from gray issues, and the strength of character to present issues as they are, rather than presenting gray issues according to our opinions and preferences. Our advice to Christians should be Bible-based and opinion-free.
I love your vids sm! It makes me feel so much more aware of what I actually believe and stand for and how I should respond in love to those who are lost

Brilliantly put re: marriage to non-believers. My Christianity (I was raised in a strong Christian home and struggled with sin since my teenage years) was "stuck at the start line" and I married a non-Christian Vietnamese girl for many reasons, but none of which I would say would be acceptable to God as they stood. I also felt like I couldn't push my beliefs on her so didn't really witness to her. We still got married in a church and she was obliging to Western traditions in that regard. Anyway, the Lord reached down and put me to absolute shame, one day she decided to start reading the Bible and in her words "I dunno how to put it, this just seems like it's the absolute truth and very accurate" - this was a few days after she had a candid chat with my Christian uncle that reached a pinnacle when he asked if the Vietnamese have a "global Flood story" and she said "yeah thats an old Vietnamese fairytale, the Chinese believe it too, why?" "no, that's a Biblical truth that most civilisations still have some memory of". So she wanted to read what the Bible actually said and to her it simply made sense. Then she got into what actually happened with Jesus Christ and the crucifixion and how He is God and yet died for us all and it broke her heart yet made her whole. She often cries in church when people mention it, so deep has her love become for Him. Together we now live a life trying our best to avoid sin, we both absolutely love old hymn music, so listen to that instead of secular radio, we love attending church every week and having fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and she's found many Christians share her love of gardening. I regularly feel quite emotional about how strong in the Lord my wife has become and how small and meaningless my faith was. I strive every day now to serve Him better. I also had sex before marriage and intensely regret it because now I see, it was God's plan all along for me to be with this particular woman. At the same time, I feel I have to accept it was all part of the process of realising how much of a broken sinner of a man I am no matter my raising, and that my only hope is in Him, and that I mustn't dwell on it but instead move on and be the man He wills me to be.
I think it's really healthy to wait till college to even start dating. There aren't many teens who bag their spouse in highschool. Would I stop my kids or set a hard line...no. would I recommend and be really serious about who I chose at a young age like I really gotta think I may have found my we met at childhood spouse to start the dating process. But if you hold certain boundaries fine. But my problem with boundaries...when you love someone...you want them physically. It becomes a deep desire. That becomes increasingly hard to manage. So I say don't date until you can see yourself getting married in 12 to18 months cause after that much time it becomes almost impossible to hold onto verginity.
Hey😊 I’ve been watching your channel for a little while now and I enjoy your content whether I disagree with some things or not. If it is possible I would love to interview you soon or do a zoom call with you! I have been realizing that I cannot walk this path in finding God alone and I’m so open to learning so much more. Until then, I hope you have a goodnight and thanks for all the information you’ve given thus far!
6:31-7:15. This is seriously key. You elaborated on this very well. Christ doesn’t want to take part, He wants to take over. Our lives should be consumed by Christ. Whatever is left from Christ is left to sin. Now who would want that? Also, man do I love that Jason guy. I was really excited to see him appear in this video, as he took phenomenal stances on biblical Christianity in the Evangelical Christians vs. Progressive unbelievers Jubilee video.
Take over who, @Jake Studer ? Anyone important, making choices for whole churches and nations? Or sects, or for policy? Or for pogroms, wars, inquisitions, or slavery. I suppose maybe He wants to keep WELL AWAY from those, due to not standing being near sin? Except when Satan wants to chat, about Job, that is. Rather curious. And how sinful is forced marriages, ala Numbers 31? But most of you have a hazy idea about progress, anyway, I feel. More important peasants should fear god, and their 'betters', than actually get fed more, or guaranteed not to die in silly wars, for centuries, maybe... so pardon me for a little skepticism.
@@chrissonofpear1384 No, sir. God wants to take over the lives of the individuals that He chooses to save. He wants their full commitment and obedience, not just part of it. This is a good thing because He is a good God. This is not to say that goodness is a characteristic He merely possesses, but that He Himself is goodness. And so when you give all you are to Mercy and Grace, that is indeed a blessed thing. And then Christ reigns in families centered around Him, and He uses those Christian individuals and families to influence the world they live in. Furthermore, might I add that your comment is very incoherent. I don’t know what you’re attempting to say because it isn’t too comprehensible the way it’s currently worded. Would you mind clarifying what you mean perhaps?
@@JakeStuder And destroy those He chooses to destroy, you mean? Even whole families, ala Zephaniah? And have you READ Numbers 31, yet? Or Ezekiel 24? Blessed are they who mourn - well, except there. And where was the mercy in Joshua 7:24, 1 Samuel 15 or 2 Samuel 15:18? And having failed to make heaven perfect in the first place, then sets up this world to be sabotaged, by people who do not even know, good from evil, yet. Meh. Anything else you 'don't get', just ask the Spirit, first. Oh, and what She was doing during the Inquisition, too, when you can.
@@chrissonofpear1384 What I mean is best encapsulated in Scripture: “…And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. (Exodus 33:19, ESV). Again in the New Testament, “14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." (Romans 9:14, ESV). And so I have several points of yours to address: 1) “And destroy those He chooses to destroy, you mean?” God is Mercy. That is indeed what I meant in my original comments. But yet, families were indeed destroyed and peoples were indeed killed. And so you are correct-I mean also that God chooses to destroy whom He wishes to destroy. This is because God is both just and merciful. And so I mean that God is just in killing some and merciful and saving others. 2) “Blessed are they who mourn - well except there.” That is a good example of Matthew 5:4 taken out of context. The mourning spoken of their is a recognition and mourning over sin and its various consequences, including death. It is not applicable to any and all scenarios of “mourning.” Rather, blessed are those christians who mourn, for they will find comfort, that is, peace and joy in knowing they’ve been redeemed from their sins by Christ. 3) “And having failed to make heaven perfect in the first place, then sets up this world to be sabotaged who don’t even know good from evil yet.” He did not fail to make heaven perfect. It was perfect, and Adam, along with Eve, originally walked in perfection. But they are the ones who failed and introduced sin, and because of that failure we, their descendants, are born in sin. Psalm 51:5. 4)- “Anything else you ‘don’t get’, just ask the Spirit first. Oh, and what She was doing during the Inquisition, too, when you can.” This is unnecessarily disrespectful. What I “didn’t get” was your comment, because your grammar is very poor, and your sentences didn’t make a whole lot of sense. I was genuinely asking for clarification on what you meant because I wanted to have a decent conversation. So no, I will not ask “her,” because the Holy Ghost isn’t feminine, nor the He talk to people in their heads. God communities to us through Scripture, not voices. Also, the many passages in the Old Testament that are about destroying different people are descriptive rather than prescriptive. God has not given us in this day and age any such prescription to go out and kill folk, but to serve and witness to them. And so the Inquisition was not a Christian effort. Those Catholics that caused it were not Christians, as several Catholics aren’t. The Spirit is only active in Christians, and so those who started and fed the Inquisition were motivated by sin, not by the Spirit.
@@JakeStuder Gracious? When? A jealous, braggart who pledges continual destruction to whole tribes, and even families? And DON'T DARE tell me what is UNNECESARRY you slavery apologetic twerp. You're no judge of that, with your ABSENT John 14:12 qualifications. I DARE you to tally up all the Jews harmed, tortured or put to death, within Christendom. And ALL THE OTHER SPIRITS get their powers and right to roam, from this God too. And he frequently SENDS EVIL spirits to people, in the Old Testament - they do not do it, of their own initiative, in those cases. Sin BEGAN IN HEAVEN, from NOTHING. NOTHING at all, solid or credible. Just IGNORANCE in angels who should not have been POSSIBLE to have it, if this Presence REALLY pervades all heaven. As Romans 1:20 pompously declares it does in Earth, only to qualify it as 'invisible' whilst doing so. Well it wasn't invisible, to angels. And you want all the special pleading, as usual. You'd probably retcon the Good Samaritan to a new context, if you could find an easy way for it. And 1 Corinthians 10 an Matthew 27:25 by THEMSELVES helped pave the way to any number of pogroms. Deemed LESS worth intervening on, than the trial for one little Sabbath breaker was, in Numbers 15:32. Now, which of the 400 plus Christianities is the community, of which you speak - and did they abet sending peasants to war with each other, multiple times, or not? Although I'd rather not blame humans there - after all, they are created, flawed. Without a choice, in it. Unlike what all angels, got. At least to be 'spiritually dead'.
With the subject on abstaining before marriage, I decided to not even kiss on the lips before engagement. And what is the purpose of kissing? For pleasure essentially, and it can be so blinding! For example, I was desperate to find a guy I wanted to marry, and had a few duds, some worse than others. I almost ruined my life because I couldn't let go of one who was an extremely bad influence, he even offered to get physical and almost got to me at one point. If I had given in to that desire to have that pleasure, then I would probably not be a Christian today and would definitely not be married to the love of my life. Abstaining gave my husband and I a good level head going in to dating and marriage, and I'm so thankful we had that time to understand who we were getting involved with before we took things to the next step. Nothing on this earth compares to having a physical relationship with another human being, thats why its important, not to mention having a physical relationship can lead to children too, would you want to share your children with someone you don't love or trust? Some say the prevention to that is abortion... i could go on, but the value of human life is a topic for another day...
I love many people who are non believers, but I could never marry one (I almost did though). Marriage is such an intimate, sacred, spiritual bond between two people. If you are a Christian and you marry a non believer, your marriage won’t live up to the potential it was created for because that spiritual congruence isn’t there. Friendships and acquaintanceships are completely different
Could you tell me, in detail, what it was created for, then, @L W ? Also, what were 'marriages' in Deuteronomy 21:13, and Numbers 31:52, created for - specifically? And were they intimate, spiritual - and consensual? Such context may yet be required.
@@chrissonofpear1384 there are different denominations but only one type of Christian. A Christian is a follower of christ and they follow his word and his teachings they've repented of their sins and made Jesus their savior that's a Christian. The word of God clearly condemns homosexuality so while I do not know that young man's heart the Bible does say "by their fruits you shall know them" and this man's fruits do not make it seem as if he is a Christian. Just my observation.
I once thought like that one guy too and am now in a relationship with a non-christian. I don’t know what to do because I really love him and truly want to marry him. I feel so lost since we also already sleep together, since I wasn’t in my current state of mind back then. I feel like I completely messed everything up but it also feels wrong to leave him because I love him and he loves me. Please brothers and sisters pray for me.
I am noticing more and more the importance of marrying a believer. I dont like being judgamental but other people don't get that the most important is to glorify God overall and do His will, the other is our shared values and common preferences but then there are so many things you can agree from the beggining and let alone the joy of worshiping together! To be honest, i wouldn't feel safe submitting to a non Christian husband in this days. The hard part is perhaps where or how to find the right person to conect. I haven't date in more than a year just because of that. My temple is sacred and not many understand that. Thank you for your perspective! God bless your path in Him.
James 2: 14 "Faith without works is dead" These people are WAY too confident they're going to heaven. No amount of work can earn you a ticket into heaven, but neither can any amount of faith. It's a blending of those 2 and ultimately it's the lord's prerogative to decide if the blend you produce is one that is seated well beside him in heaven. I fear for my nation, America, where so many believe "by faith alone" and "I'll do 'my best'." Whatever that means...
Yeah I feel sorry for that african american man): I don't know his heart but with a response like that he doesn't really sound like a Christian because a Christian should know that Christianity is not like other religions ☹️pray for that man🙏
Admiration laughs at actors, It is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed, for a scriptural episode is not a record of an historical event, but a parabolic revelation of truth. To see Jesus or David as an historical character is to see truth tempered to the weakness of your soul. You must see what the characters represent, rather than the characters themselves. This is true for every story in scripture, for every episode will unfold within you.
I’m 14 and my mon is a non believer but my dad is a sda and I am too I got baptized earlier this year praise god and I can see how hard it is in our household and how separated it is and it’s very hard to live in it because at one hand god is calling me but the other is the world and I love them both but it’s hard and I pray for my mom
My wife doesn't believe in anything and I'm a Christian and we have a wonderful marriage. I still praise God when I want to and I debate with her over His existence but I do it with happiness and I think that's why it works.
Too many people often say things like Christianity is the same or similar to many other religions. But to say that type of thing or to be a Christian proclaiming such an idea means you are either new in the faith, uninformed or completely miss the point of not being able to be saved by our works. But understanding God’s grace and the significance can help clear up such confusion. Much like a healthy relationship with anyone: get to know what it is and not what it looks like, especially in the faith and you won’t say things like it’s all the same (btw which is equivalent to what does it matter) anymore. May Jesus call you all home and may you be so touched that you praise Him daily. PTL 🙏🏼
The dating a non-Christian thing is tricky. I would probably answer somewhat agree, but strongly disagree for marriage. Some people haven't heard the gospel and might be open to it, and it's possible they could be saved. However, I would never marry a non-Christian, and I wouldn't recommend dating one in general. It depends how strong your faith is. It also probably helps to be a guy, so you don't get proposed to when they still aren't saved. All in all, probably not worth the risk, as they could take you away from God, but still different from marriage. Marrying a non-Christian, definite no, it's literally right there in the Bible.
I was a non believer and my husband was a believer when we got married. It did put a strain on our relationship in the marriage because although I was learning about Jesus I was also exploring other religions as well such as Buddhism. It definitely affected his path of faith because my unmotivation to know God affected his motivation to continue despite his big faith. We are separated and getting divorced now, but now I see how that was also a contributing factor to us not working out. Now as I am single I am getting to know Jesus and my identity to Christ now, but this should have been my foundation before we even got married.
I prayed a lot, and I think I want to wait until engagement to kiss. Waiting til Marriage feels a little unnecessary unless you’re the type of person to be engaged for 3 years or something.
It’s easy to say you’re a Christian, it’s hard to live it.
That's exactly why Jordan says 'who dares say that they believe in God'

If youre truly saved and encountered the holy spirit you feel extremely convicted and unrighteous if you live unholy. Id find that harder to live with a constant nagging of a bad conscience in my head rather than living holy to by best abilities. But as far as just callin yourself Christian but never bein truly saved i would agree with your statement.

I’m married to a nonbeliever and it is so much harder to stay on the path to God. You need someone to build your relationship With God with.
I can't speak from experience since I've been single all my life. But, knowing you're married to a non Christian, gives you an opportunity to lead them to Christ.

That’s awesome what God can do 😃 God is good
I like that you pointed out how your parents are an anecdote, an exception to the rule.
Oh wow! God is working on your mother! Stay blessed 🙌

It can be really hard dating someone that doesn't share the same beliefs that you do, regardless if you're Christian or not
@@Layniacsofficial - "You just have to be married to someone who is supportive in your belief and lifestyle choices"
Disagree. Marriage is a team sport. I don't want somebody that just "supports" what I believe, but rather somebody that believes it too and lives their life accordingly. Sure you can stay married for a long time, but you're not really fulfilling the potential of that marriage.
"Being liberal isn't a religion"
A political ideology can absolutely be a religion. It's a form of idolatry. For instance, being a radical leftist today IS a religion for many. Distinctly. But then again, a liberal and a leftist are not the same thing.
@@Layniacsofficial were you Catholic before the relationship?
@he was If you want children, think of what will happen when an atheist husband doesnt want you to teach your children about God

So good to hear this coming from a man.
Amen!! God's hands be on your relationship.
Can you date a non-Chrsitian?: With my past experiences, I wouldn't reccomend it.
Agree, you'll compromise your relationship with God. The longer you're in the relationship, the more it will drain you emotionally and spiritually. I thank Jesus that He freed me from it and now is blessed with a godly man that truly pursues the heart of God. The Lord is indeed good!
I agree, typically they pull you away from Him to the things of the world.
Same. 🥲🥲
@@colin1818 Altho why set yourself up for heartbreak and even entertain the idea by dating someone who is not a Christian, someone you wouldn’t marry?
Kissing before marriage is not a sin, nor is drinking at all, but for some it could open a door towards a path leading to sin that you'd rather stay far away from.
i love this so much !! thank you for sharing
Their influence, and convictions, were considerable.
I do not make these points spuriously, just with acute awareness of how messy Christian history then became, as result - particularly towards Jews.

Thank you so much, Elsie!

🙋🏻♀️ 31 and single. I feel you. I have had a relationship (Christian w/ Christian) but our convictions weren't the same and it didn't work out. See, I do not regret having been sticking to my boundaries. When spending your life trying to please your Lord, perspectives and priorities change. A relationship would be lovely to have, but it is not a demand and as long as I have something that lasts in eternity to bring to God in the end, I am happy, even without a partner.
25 almost 26. 🙋🏾♀️ Never had a boyfriend. Never dated. Never kissed. By the Lord’s Grace He showed me in my teens how important it is to save yourself for your spouse, and He convicted me throughout college and kept me away from trouble. I am thankful all the more for it. 🙏🏾

I would have stood on somewhat disagree on that line when it comes to dating a non-Christian because I was a non-Christian former traditional Catholic and because of the influence of my husband’s family back then they helped me get closer to knowing who Christ is and eventually my heart was softened to the truth but at the same time now that I know the truth I know that it’s definitely a huge gamble to date someone that is not equally yoked and I have a daughter now and I would feel like a hypocrite but I would definitely suggest to steer away from someone who is not a believer because I don’t know if it’s something that is a risk I want her to take

@JeremyKlown unless they are forcibly taken, like in Numbers 31, and then little is heard from them, again? Of course, that was a different dispensation.
Yup, in Numbers 31 the kids are actually kept as servants since it was forbidden to marry someone outside the religion. If you read the full story that’s pretty clear?

I struggle with the dating thing. I am happily married now for 6 years and a believer for about 8. I absolutely agree that marriage as a Christian should be between 2 believers. Marriage is a reflection of Christ and the church and is the closest relationship we will have besides that with God.
But if my now husband hadn't taken a step and dated a non Christian, I probably wouldn't be watching this video, I don't know if I would be saved. I'm not even certain if I would be alive. He didn't date me to preach to me, but his life and the way he interacted with me spoke to me and led me to seek after God. If I hadn't turned and followed God, I have no doubt we wouldn't have gotten married. Long story to say, I don't know. I suppose it depends on your intention in dating and your heart for God.
I read something about this before. I think the other night. It is a book in the bible- 1 corithians I think (I will get the exacts later)

Hey Stephanie, glad you enjoyed the video :) Great suggestion, I've been thinking about doing a video on that!
The again guy said it perfectly. If you date someone or marry someone out of your religion or culture it can be very difficult and the bible spot on about that issue.
Btw it's already hard enough to find someone in the church we are equally yoked with. Not all christians are good for one another and there is no such thing as the one.

Presumably, buying and selling non Hebrews, for life, was not always a 'biggest sin' though, in the past?
I love how humble and honest you are ♡

@@DailyDisciple Okay - and once more, why DID Satan KEEP any powers, once exiled?

@@chrissonofpear1384 depends what you mean by "power".

Isaac! My brother! Another great video! Keep it up!!

I think that first man needs to do a little rethinking of his faith.....

Great topic. Great point of view from you! Love it
And so I have several points of yours to address:
1) “And destroy those He chooses to destroy, you mean?” God is Mercy.

I find it interesting how the one woman was a strong disagree on no sex before marriage, but they never showed her explanation. I wonder about that.

I feel like I completely messed everything up but it also feels wrong to leave him because I love him and he loves me. Please brothers and sisters pray for me.
Great video! Can't wait for the next one.
One thing is if your don’t have the same morals or beliefs it makes everything 10x more difficult
Thanks Isaac! This was a great vid
And here I thought “yolk” meant a literal egg 🥚 lol
I absolutely love this channel.
The first part of the video really hit different
Yeah I feel sorry for that african american man): I don't know his heart but with a response like that he doesn't really sound like a Christian because a Christian should know that Christianity is not like other religions ☹️pray for that man🙏
Haha you have such a fresh and good sense of humor ! I enjoyed It watching it! Good work! 😄
You explain amazing and truthful
Admiration laughs at actors, It is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed, for a scriptural episode is not a record of an historical event, but a parabolic revelation of truth. To see Jesus or David as an historical character is to see truth tempered to the weakness of your soul. You must see what the characters represent, rather than the characters themselves. This is true for every story in scripture, for every episode will unfold within you.
Wow. I didn't know Jake Gyllenhaal went all Kirk Cameron.
I actually really enjoyed that video. I thought it was really cool to see different opinions but also people who were honest about what the Bible says
Jesus blood covers all sins- that is grace- we cannot repay Him-His blood is more valuable than ours-He is the creator, we are the created
I prayed a lot, and I think I want to wait until engagement to kiss. Waiting til Marriage feels a little unnecessary unless you’re the type of person to be engaged for 3 years or something.
Loving this channel brother , thank you
The good works are the superficial similarities. Missing the fundamental principle of Grace, which is Gods divine influence upon our hearts and minds
