Besides the Plaubel Makina from 1933 Alex had mentioned, to my knowledge there are two additional foldable Makinas from 70's / 80's - Plaubel Makina 67 (standard lens) and 67W (28mm focal equivalent lens), both equipped with excellent Nikkor lenseses. I used the 67W once, and let me tell you, that camera was nothing short than being AMAZING!!! Excellent sharpness, colours, micro contrast, you name it. However... these days most people are forced to sell their kidney to get that (somewhat already old) camera, sadly...
Tomislav Miletić yeah I actually never heard of that camera before reading Alex’s comment but after googling it I realized how expensive it was haha seems like a nice alternative to the Mamiya 7 tho, maybe cheaper too
Like anything from the Soviet Union, there's variation, but if you get a good one, the lens is as good as anything available in medium format folders. Since your negative is almost 2.5 times the length and width of 35mm, large prints are definitely on the table if you do your part -- get the focusing right, hold the camera steady, and expose correctly.
@@KodakBoy Watched your presentation of your 50-something cameras and was surprised you had just ONE Soviet camera. Also must spend some time watching many more of your great videos, especielly where you test different kinds of film. I started out in 1989 with the Lomo Kompakt Avtomat and then got me the Soviet copies of Contax and Leica (Kiev 4, Zorki 2 and FED 4K) - all great cameras but one (which??) has the problem with the shutter. From Ukraine I got a START, a heavy SLR that looks ... heavy?! It was supposed to become a "professional" camera. Problems to wind the film however.
Hey guess what I am Back, and I have a 1933 Plaubel Makina Model II 6x9 camera, and It Works love the format, as I will be using it in Japan, that is a country facing west from San Francisco along with my Zeiss Ikonta 120 format along with my 1967 Horizant, and my Nikon F2 along with my digital Fuji XPro1. As Comic book guy saids: "Worst Video Ever" You shot more video of the area than showing the camera.

Lol the sound effect in the first two seconds of this video was unintentional
I would be more embarrassed wearing that shirt than carrying that camera...
Tbh, soviet cams are awesome. Had a Konica and the quality was meh compared to Zenit E, however, I'd have a Mokva-5 if it was bot rare...
Great photos! I have an Agfa folding camera that's just been collecting dust on a shelf, and now I'm tempted to try it out
The Unrecorded Photographer thanks and yes I encourage you to take that Agfa out and shoot some film 🎞

Very interesting camera! Crows are so weird lol, happy new year bro!
What do you think about the sharpness of the lens? Is it good enough for big prints?

Is there any way to use a shutter release Cable with this guy or it's purely a hand held shooter?
I have the Moscova IV and love it
Omg 2:05 I almost died from choking on my tea😂🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
That’s a great format, 6x9. Got a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/2 and, it gives me nice photos.
Yes I enjoy shooting 6x9
Great image quality
