Three families all struggling to cope with their tearaway toddlers have been invited to live here and try and turn their lives around in just 6 days. The person who’s going to help them with this mammoth task is clinical psychologist Dr Tanya Byron.
The design and construction of the house has been completed in conjunction with a committee of childcare experts to make sure that it is a safe, fun place for kids to stay. Whilst also re-creating a realistic and practical home environment. The remote cameras and those located behind the 2-way mirrors allow Dr Tanya to observe the pitfalls, the progress, the tantrums and the tears, 24-hours a day, every day.
For the families chosen to be part of this unique program, this is make or break. For Dr Tanya Byron this is the biggest challenge of her career.

i dont know how i ended up here, but why the heck is the mom not giving her daughter something to keep busy with and then run into the kitchen... by pushing her out like that, the poor girl has no idea why her mom doesn't want her there. In a way she feels "abandoned" in the moment. Her sister is fine, bc she has something to do...she wasnt having a tantrum, she was provoked! When her "mom"? is that even her mom? When she came out of the kitchen she was quiet, she just wanted to be with her. What is this place?

I understood that the baby was wanting to get into the place with her mother but she couldn't so she threw a tantrum to get in and that didn't do any good, poor thing

It's OUR job as adults or parents to help children work through big emotions that they don't understand yet. Hitting a child creates unstable, mentally unwell adults. How do you discipline a child for hitting? By hitting them? That's hypocritical. If a child is "old enough" to be hit, they're old enough to reason with. If they're too young to reason with, they won't understand why they're being hit. Spanking is lazy parenting.
