It seems you are wishing for long-term fascism, and of course that's what DJT hopes for. Really research what he plans to do and consider deeply what that will mean for you and the rest of the country. Timothy Snyder has spent a lot of time in places with leaders like Donald Trump. Here's what he learned. "Strongman rule is a fantasy. Essential to it is the idea that a strongman will be your strongman. He won't. In a democracy, elected representatives listen to constituents. We take this for granted, and imagine that a dictator would owe us something. But the vote you cast for him affirms your irrelevance. The whole point is that the strongman owes us nothing. We get abused and we get used to it. Another pleasant illusion is that the strongman will unite the nation. But an aspiring dictator will always claim that some belong and others don't. He will define one group after another as the enemy. This might feel good, so long as you feel that you are on the right side of the line. But now fear is the essence of life. The politics of us-and-them, once begun, never ends. "

Second, due to its power of judicial review, it plays an essential role in ensuring that each branch of government recognizes the limits of its own power. Third, it protects civil rights and liberties by striking down laws that violate the Constitution. Finally, it sets appropriate limits on democratic government by ensuring that popular majorities cannot pass laws that harm and/or take undue advantage of unpopular minorities. It won't be after this ruling if we're not careful. Words from Beau. The SCOTUS decision has changed all the parameters of the election. Right now, because of their decision, the president of the United States has power unparalleled in American history now. All of us, no matter what so-called side were on, need to understand what that means. This decision is now the most important matter to consider in the upcoming presidential election. This has to be above the economy and everything else we normally talk about when we’re getting ready for an election. The U.S. can’t elect an authoritarian or somebody with authoritarian tendencies who has this level of immunity. Not if they expect the American experiment to continue.
We have to elect someone we trust with almost unfettered power and that issue has to override all the other issues. And we have to get this answer right. And we have to get it right in every election until this decision is either overturned or the lines between official and unofficial acts become abundantly clear. If the American people elect someone with authoritarian tendencies, and those lines aren’t clear, then that person will push the envelope of their immunity. This now is the most important election issue. It has to supersede all of the other ones. We are no longer choosing between two candidates that they really don’t like as in many previous election cycles. They are trying to make a determination on which one is less likely to become a tyrant.

@rob3539 the statue of limitations is 5 years and it's a stretch to even say he did anything illegal. He didn't use campaign money to pay Cohen he used his own money. The pay off was agreed to by both parties involved and was not illegal. People make NDA's all the time and it's perfectly legal to do so. The DA in this case took what would be considered a misdemeanor and turned it into a felony case which is ridiculous. This was a purely political attack on Trump just like it's always been.
