It's a wonder that the planners never factored them into the Market Garden operation since they only expected the opposition to be old men on bicycles.
@@Jmp-bb2lw having thought a bit more, it was probably due to the speed Market Garden was put together, so yes, a lack of gliders would have been a factor considering they couldn't get all of 1st Airborne in in one go. It's also possible that there wasn't enough time to prepare the vehicles and move them to the relevant airfields. A jeep is one thing, a tank, even a light one, is a different prospect.
Somewhere, in the steamy jungles of Madagascar, there could be half a dozen Tetrachs awaiting discovery!
I was thinking the same, there is stuff on the Solomon’s and places in the Pacific
Great looking little vehicle
Thanks for the video
No problem!
It’s a shame I’ll probably never get to go to Kubinka, especially while mad Putinis in charge

Seems strange they weren’t used by the 1st airborne but where by the 6th, maybe it was the lack of glides and lifts

Tetrach is latin for _better than nothing_ btw. Ironically it wasn't.
So 40 x tanks went to the Soviets under Lend Lease.
