Not perfect, too much waste. Try cutting them like they do in Thailand or Laos. Takes longer but you get more out of it.

Thanks for sharing! I'm in Mexico for the winter & been purchasing pineapple a few times a week at our local market & needed the correct & easy way to carve. I found that after scoring the pineapple quarters it was easier to lay it on its side & cut closer to the rind w/ less waste. Cheers!

Great video! Simple, easy and to the point. Also, I don't feel like I'm wasting a lot of the pineapple this way. I used to dread cutting pineapple bc I feel like I waste so much, bur this way seems to waste very little as long as you follow the directions and cut as close to the core as possible and as close to the skin as possible. Thanks for this video, I found this the easiest way. It just took less than 10 min for me, and this the first time ever I tried to cut Pineapple. My wife got surprised..how I managed this even better then her. 😊
Oh my goodness I want to try and start eating more fruit but it's so expensive in the store so I said why not try a pineapple and a cantaloupe. You are amazing to make this so simple. It is much appreciated 👍👍❤️

You can cut the core into chunks, freeze them and put them in the pot with fresh veggies for flavor. Relish!

It may be stupid, but one should always reflect on how amazing it is that some random person took the time 11 years ago to teach a thing, and potentially helped 17M people. I was looking around for recipes to prepare some low sodium meals for my brother, and one called for fresh pineapple. It's nice to be able to just summon knowledge from the ether.

the core can be juiced. It contains most of the bromelain, the best enzyme in pinaple. Or, you can squeze it in your mouth at least, and spit the fiber out.
In India it contains Cyanide, so we throw that away !

Bromelain is contained in the fibrous core of the pineapple..When you cut up a pineapple eat the core,, its good for you .. And the sweetest sometimes..

@@alasia4876 Haven't you atleast tried it? It's really hard for us to take hold of pineapple fruits here in my town. Only once a month or a year so and we have to make do with what we have. It'd be a waste to not eat everything what is given to you.

have a pineapple and I'm going to try out your straight foreward technique
I have tried many ways this was the easiest, fastest, and cleanest way. I do start by cutting top off putting cut side down to rest in the fridge for about an hour. It helps the juice run evenly through.

Saaaweeet!! 🍍… thank you 😊 I’ve spent so much time peeling and then cutting in the past. I did have a slicer corer, it was fantastic. However, I lost it in my divorce lol but true.
Note - you might want to make straight cuts on the top and bottom of your pineapple as you will find the rest of the steps easier. It's a fabulous way to cut up a pineapple. Thank you for the video
