Oh, wow. This might be the best comment I have ever got! Thank you for the encouragement. There will always be trolls out there posting negative stuff, so it's great to hear that there are people that like to watch! Thank you so much.
I hear you - I am also in a rut in this game. GBG - repetitive endless autobattles; QI: build city in the morning and evenings and play 24/7; GE: 80/64 - all autobattle; Power Creep making players play the same old, humdrum Events to get the new buildings making the GBs obsolete (although buffing increase att/def/FPs). ...this game is becomming monotonously lame.
@@BardoFarkins Nothing reduces monotony like forcing you to do the same action on repeat but 20 clicks instead of one, am I right? Because there's specific armies you need to use to effectively counter specific enemies and need to do the exact same thing over and over again every manual battle. It's not like there's a variety. It's against the same AI every time with the same preset armies.
I like your honesty and willingness to share your thoughts, keep that approach in whatever you make next. I stopped playing and only collect on average once a fortnight. After taking that break I’ve found better things to spend that time on. I can’t see myself going back to GBG or QI or even GE. The repeated auto battling was so draining and made me feel I was addicted, it forced me to question why I was playing. It remains a great game and I’m still interested but the time required on mundane tasks in order to do the fun stuff is way too high now.
This is so true Bardo. I'm burned out...took a month off and left my high level guild. I missed my mates and couldn't wait to get back to them. Still burned out on the time consumption aspect but needed to engage with my guildmates.
Thank you for the video, I've been feeling the exact same way. After 7 years in a top 10 guild... this game has become a literal chore. Log in: clear my town, space colony, guild expedition, QI, non-stop fragment pop-ups.. 30 minutes later and now I'm ready to mindlessly auto-battle in GBG (just kidding, there are no sectors available - maybe I will have better luck in 4 hours or next season!). There is too much content, and the majority of it is no longer fun to play.
I am in top3 guild in east nagach and only ones that are happy playing it are those that pay 10000 diamonds each qi season. I had a guy that pulled 7000 points last season. U spend real money than u can switch up your city each month. It gets terrible for long play. I pull 6000fp per day and its sooo boring that all of my stuff goes toAO. After all its only building that matter when u reach TITAN.
Possible topic of a new video: "What can you expect from good guild?" of "10 signs of a good guild" Can you expect free handouts of goods? Like Titan goods? Is it reasonable to be promoted? QI officer or GBG officer? What if they don't unlock GE5? Are weekly prizes a must? Can you post in the 1.9 thread if your guild is racing in GBG against another guild? What if you don't mee the minimum number of fights for one GBG session? Or QI? Is a lot of chit-chat important? Are medals as flavour text in the guild member list a nice thing? Those are just some things off the top of my head.
The biggest thing that makes me less and less satisfied with the game, is Inno's pure greed. For example, "Event Currency" is getting harder to get, without buying it with Diamonds, and it seems that it's value is getting less with every Event... Each turn in an Event Mini-game seems to require more Event Currency than it used to, and Diamonds seem to get you less and less, each Event... and that's only going to get worse, as Inno's greed increases. The "Rival Challenges" require a heavy investment of time and resources, with pretty poor "rewards"... all designed to **cough** "encourage" players to use Potions/Boosts, so that once you have used them all, you have to use Diamonds to "fast track" certain activities, especially in Events... Another aspect of Inno's greed. Their over-use of "Fragments" as prizes, and requiring so many fragments before you get anything even half-way worthwhile, is another way Inno force players to put in lots of effort (and use-up lots of resources, or Diamonds), over a longer period of time, before you get an item that you can actually use. Is unsatisfying, and another example of their greed. Then you have additional Prize Lines - for additional money, of course... and the prizes available are rarely good value for money (including such "premium offerings" as Portraits, and paltry amounts of Medals or Forge Points, or 5 min Mass Coin Rush)! There are far too many Events now. They go on for too long, and then there is no time for players to recoup resources between them, or develop their Cities in any meaningful way - It's just Event after Event after Event, with no breathing space. There is so much time (and in-game resources) required to work on Quests, with rewards for each quest seeming to reduce in value, from Event to Event. Inno definitely spam Events at players, as they seem to see Events as a "cash cow" that can be milked almost non-stop. It's killing the game! It's not Forge of Empires now - it's Empire of Events!! They've made Diamonds so expensive, that they are a "considered purchase" for many... and it is a false economy for Inno. If they made the prices lower, so that they were more of an "impulse buy" instead of being something that players have to consider, and ask "am I getting value for money?", then ultimately more Diamonds would be sold (and more money would be made) - rather than players deciding that, actually, spending £50 on Diamonds isn't worth it, especially during a "Cost of Living Crisis", and especially when £50 of Diamonds doesn't actually go that far, anymore. It's basic marketing - don't make it SO expensive that the customer has cause to pause and think about it, and potentially talk themselves out of it. People play FoE to take their mind of their "Real World problems", not to be reminded of them!! Inno have killed GBG for many Guilds, with the changes that they introduced.... ...The changes have created a situation where only the most powerful Guilds can achieve anything worthwhile (and some top Guilds have even "merged", bringing together the top players from the original Guilds into one "Super Guild", leaving their less able players in the lurch). All other Guilds just get crumbs from the table... and that's if they are really lucky... making GBG a pointless exercise for many. "Quantum Incursions" is just a pointless, over complicated side issue, that has got the timings all wrong, so it is not enjoyable! The other issue that I have a real problem with, and have done ever since I started playing FoE, 5 years ago, is the flawed implementation of "Prize Probability Percentages". What they do seems to be fundamentally dishonest, and if there was some independent body that I could lodge a formal complaint with, I would! It's easier to explain the problem by giving an example (from the current Summer Event)... In the Daily Challenges, during an Event, you are presented with a chance to win Doubloons, in this case. There are 4 prizes available, of different amounts of Doubloons, with an associated supposed "percentage chance" of winning that prize... So, for the top prize of 100 Doubloons you have a small %age chance of winning it, and for the lowest prize of 10 Doubloons, you have the "largest" chance of winning that. And as a side note.... 10 Doubloons is only enough to uncover one square on the mini-game board - a meagre reward anyway, for the effort you have to put in, to win it. During this event, I have *only ever* won the lowest prize. That's *NOT* how "percentage chance" works.... even if I didn't win the "Top" value prize, I should at least have won 1 or 2 prizes that weren't the lowest value, in the 17 days that the Event has been going. To have not won even the second-to-lowest value prize even once, is a bit suspect, over this period of time. I did query this aspect with someone responding on behalf of inno, a couple of years ago (via their official Facebook page), and to summarise what I was told... ...There are only a set number of anything other than the "Bottom" prize, available (the Lowest value prizes are unlimited). So once they have been won, players actually have a ZERO percent chance of winning those (because no more of them will be awarded). The %age chance of winning bears no relationship to the actual number of those prizes available, and they are in fact an arbitrary value. However, they do not change the stated percentage within the game... the text within the Daily Challenge Dialogue Box still says the same "%age chance of winning", as it did at the start of the day, even though there may not be anything other than the "Lowest Value" prizes available. So, they might *say* you have a 5% chance of winning 100 Doubloons, for example, but that is not true - you might actually have ZERO% chance of winning that level of prize, if they have already been allocated. That is such a flawed way to implement a "%age chance of winning" mechanic. Not only that, but there can be up to 5 or 6 different activities (most of them requiring an expenditure of in-game resources, in some way or another) that have to be completed... and after doing all of that, you still only get 10 Doubloons for your effort. At the time of writing this, I have completed 17 days of the Summer Event, and therefore 17 Daily Quests. I work on the Daily Challenge as soon as it becomes live, at 12am, and it may take 5 to 10 minutes to complete (using boost, etc, when necessary, to ensure that I can complete it quickly). Every day I have only won the lowest value prize, from a selection of 4. According to an online probability calculator, If you roll a four-sided dice 17 times, the probability of rolling a 1, every time, is 0.000000000058208. If I am so successful at getting a 1 every time, against those odds, then maybe I should do the lottery, because that sure is some impressive "luck", right there. That just shows how wrong they have got it. And what makes it even worse, is, when I was speaking to the Inno representative, he said that they knew they had got it wrong, but they weren't able to implement it any other way... and to quote him "...we wish we could". Think about it... (I will used simplified numbers to demonstrate the point)... If you have the following prizes available in a lucky dip barrel... 5 x "Prize A - Top Value" 10 x "Prize B - 2nd best value" 20 x "Prize C - 3rd best value" **Unlimited "Prize D - Lowest value" (**not something that can happen with tangible prizes in a physical barrel) As soon as someone wins one Prize A, there are only 4 left - making the chance of winning "Prize A" Less. When all of the Prize A, B and C have been won, you only have Prize D left. That means, a 100% chance of winning Prize D, and ZERO % chance of winning anything else. This, in effect, is what happens in FoE... but they don't change the stated %age chance of winning, in the Dialogue box... so the player still thinks they have a chance of winning the top value prize (or indeed, any prize above the lowest value), when they don’t. It is a flawed system, and it seems misleading at best, and outright dishonest at worst. If they can't implement it properly, they shouldn't "offer" a "selection" of prizes. They should just offer the one prize, for completing the required activities. They use this same "% chance of winning" system in other "prize offerings", too. You have to complete a fixed set of activities... so the prize should be a single fixed prize, not a variable chance of winning, that actually bears no relationship to how probability actually works. It's not even as if the prize is something "tangible" that has to be limited, or that costs Inno anything to "give away". There is no reason to have a set number of "Tier 1, 2 and 3" prizes that can be won, after which, no more will be awarded.
@@BardoFarkins Elvenar is another of InnoGames games. It’s loosely based on Forge of Empires with a different take on game mechanics, incorporating some suggestions from players that wouldn’t have been compatible with Forge of Empires without overhauling game mechanics.
Love your content. Very refreshing on how you deliver the info. I've pulled tips just by looking at your city! Enjoy the tips at the end. Possible content in the future. Why you've selected some buildings over others, why you pressed hard in some Special Events and not others. Hope you keep producing these great videos.
Oh my goodness, this means alot - thank you! I know my style isn't for everyone....sometimes I ramble and overexplain. But as I said in the video, I really appreciate the encouragement. It motivates me to keep going.
I totally understand how you feel. I felt this way when I played league of legends for 12+years. Sometimes you have to take a break and then come back when you see something that excites you. Forge of Empires takes a lot to be very competitive. One thing you should consider doing now is aging up if you feel like you need something more to keep going in the game. I'm in Space Age Mars and I broke 180 attrition. You don't have to stay in Future Era to get good GBG fight numbers. There are plenty of higher ages that are fun. Maybe you could get more gameplay out of Forge of Empires if you go through the journey of exploring the end game content. Love the videos bro and glad you are back and uploading them!
I left last September due to work and burn out of the game. I am now back and gearing up for the fall event.. an extended break was needed for sure. I am in SAM era.
It seems that sometimes a break from the game can be healthy for your long term enjoyment of the game. Hopefully it's a better experience for you after the break. Thanks for sharing.
I had a few cities. Got bored and felt like it is more of a chore than a way to unwind. I only have one active city now and am diamond farming the other two, you can never have too many diamonds. Collect once a day and done.
make a guild solely for yourself ..don’t let anyone else in and play to your own pace ..i now play whenever i want , however i want ..it removes a huge amount of external pressure to be on at certain times and the inevitable back biting within the guild..(always starts with we are a great easy going guild but never stays like that)as in certain people not fighting on high attrition tiles , not taking turn in diamond buildings, slow doing GE , the expectation that because your a high lvl player you should put extra into everything, i joined a global 1:9 thread so my building spots are taken however i want . im working on a lvl 200 AO ..after getting a lvl 100 delphi ..i produce within the city over 4k fps daily and tbh arc doesn’t interest me ..i know its super powerful but cant be bothered with hyper levelling it
It's one thing I love about the game. There are many ways to play it. Many philosophies and playing styles. The main thing is that it is enjoyable for you. Thanks for weighing in with this refreshing perspective.
Yep, feeling the same...I play 5 cities and the ones I enjoy playing most are my PE worlds, I have higher era units in both (Turts) and have built them as pure fighting cities, only attack GBs and buildings. I enjoy progressing through the ages, gaining higher era units along the way, clearing the map, doing Story Quest I find my main city in SAT the most tedious to play, it's just too much effort to compete in all the different facets of the game
This is what you get when you get goaded into being an enthusiast. I’ve been playing for years and have never bought into any hype. No “metas”, casually do GbG. Pay no mind to QI, only did Japanese, and Viking settlements. I have over +10 level 100 GBs, still grinding my Arc, still grinding for diamonds to explore the map (I’m camped in IA). Only have one other city. Being on the cutting edge isn’t it, you’ll be burned out in no time. 🤓
I have 6 worlds. 3 are diamond worlds, collect once a day. I play the other 3 and I start to feel like it's another job. Too many things to do. I tried to fight in QI but got bored after 4 days. I totally understand how you feel about the game. For video ideas, how about QI video? How to fight in QI? Build the city with out spending diamonds but still can fight through L10.
I've thought about doing a QI video, but I wouldn't want to do it until I felt confident in what I was talking about! I am still learning QI, but I feel like I am getter a better grasp of it with each passing season. I do have a guide that I use to follow a certain sequence when starting the new settlement each season - helps alot. Thanks for sharing and watching!
They need to bring GBG back to what it was before. Make it so the people that want to put in the time to fight can and others can do so at their own pace. They have basically made a system where if you want to be great, everyone in your guild needs to be your equal, so you have 2 or 3 guilds with all the best players and the rest of everyone loses out on rewards. I also can't stand that every new bg season that starts comes with a brand new building that is completely unobtainable unless RNG is your best friend and you miss out on the top 3 guilds in every BG. It's obtuse, I am nearly done with this game, where I actually used to be excited for events to start, I now dread for them to happen, when GBG ends, I look forward to the next 3 full days of peace. They have taken all that was great about this game and turned into Diamonds for everything. I used to be able to store diamonds away from my other cities, but now I am completely broke all the time nearly all my diamonds go to coining buildings in GBG. I'm sick of wasting time and energy on something that just becomes a bigger time sink.
@@possibly1980 Yeah. I’m in a top 2 guild on our server so I would imagine my GbG experience is quite a bit different compared to other typical guilds. It does seem to be an issue. Thanks for sharing your perspective and checking out the video.
I have 2 cities. Both we're pretty active, but recently I had to turn my younger city into a passive, collect+only city. Luckily I've been collecting WWs for 2 years. 🤣
Like so many games, FOE suffers from content creep. They should remove the Rival, for one, which adds absolutely nothing of interest while dictating how you play the GE. The number of events should be halved. They also need to reduce the often totally unnecessary micromanagement. As it stands, the game is unplayable at a high level unless it's the only activity in your life.
Yeah, I hate the rival too. Most of the prizes are junk. I don't have the time to invest so I can get to the rival main prize. It's just another chore in an already chore heavy game.
To cope with the overload, I have stopped doing any Rival quests, I have stopped doing any cultural settlements, I have stopped doing any Events except the two that actually require some brains, I have stopped doing any QI, and I do barely enough GbG to meet guild requirements. I do Daily Challenges, and I finish GE5 every week, but even that is boring and provides no prizes of any interest except the occasional diamonds. I mean just how many Face of the Ancients and Sacred Skywatches do you want? I just grow, build, help others, and loudly curse INNO to my computer screen when I have to AutoBattle over 100 times a day, and click on 140 friends' chairs a day.
this is why I have 5 worlds .. one is an IA world because the challenge of IA is great fun . I have a hybrid DF just for generating diamonds .. again totally different challenges. two main fighting worlds camped in FE just for the full on GBG in one and in a no hassle just for fun guild in the other . my main world is tech tree focused .these are how ive kept going for years now and still find it refreshing as they all function different
This is what I would like to have but I'm not sure how to change the cities? I had a form of this in mind when I started building my 💎 mine cities (but I was not sure how to do it effectively).
Hi Bardo, thanks a lot for your helpful videos. I'd love to see your view on building efficiencies. Yes, the correct answer is "it depends" but any rule of thumbs for us to help which building to remove and which to add? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for watching! The best advice that I can give you on this: Use the "building efficiency rating" tool on FoE Helper. You can set the values of the evaluating criteria to reflect which building benefits are most important to you and your playstyle. This way your decisions are based on facts & data. I would appreciate it if you would consider subscribing to my channel if you would like to see more videos - thanks!
Most definitely has some issues. I wonder if it ever gets updated? With it's flaws though, I still think it has some value for some folks, as long as people don't expect 100% perfect results.
Im waiting for the new world, when ever that opens to start nice and fresh. I love the 1st couple of eras, i think the buildings are more aesthetical. Im in asteroid era for the 1st time and do like the new colony builds. But I REALLY hope in the next world they stop the constant no gap between GBG and GE. Its exhausting. Also why cant they introduce rotate buildings???
I absolutely agree that it gets time consuming; it becomes quite a challenge w/ 2 jobs, a wife and multiple worlds, trying not to have my wife feel ignored while I enjoy the game; I'm glad she @ least pretended to take an interest in what new BLDGs my worlds have; some of the aesthetics of BLDGs are appealing to both sexes; initially, I've been curious to see what the space ages are like - having been a master of Orion player; MoO was fun until it felt like the computer players had armadas appear out of nowhere; the battle limitations of this game will keep this from happening; so, we'll see how it plays out; the high level Arcs simply feel out of touch; I've got 2 Arcs and neither are over level 25 yet; the events have gotten lame; but, a few nice surprises are welcome; attack helos are fun to attack w/; so, maybe I won't age up from PME just yet
Best event buildings now that there is so many, i cant decide what to put down? i wanna excel at ge and gbg but still want a nice share of fps daily and i took a nice long break and im lost
The best advice that I can give you on this: Use the "building efficiency rating" tool on FoE Helper. You can set the values of the evaluating criteria to reflect which building benefits are most important to you and your playstyle. This way your decisions are based on facts & data.
Great question! And I love how FoE Helper includes flexibility with that tool. Right now, only have value for the following six data points: FP's .5, Treasury Goods 11, Attack Attacking .92, Defense attacking 1.05, attack for defending 2.92, Defense for defending 3.05, goods 10. This feels about right for me. Thanks for asking and watching!
You forgot to say how you miss buying diamonds, pay-to-play player. One thing about this game is that you need to decide what you are going to have the focus of your city because it can not do well trying to do every aspect of the game all at the same time. Why bother leveling an ARC? Purpose? Goal--->FPs? Event? Goods? I am going to maintain my battle ability, Attack/Defense and level up my GBs to load up on Goods, Attack/Defense then get all GBs because the Devs add abilities to GBs that have been left behind in the past.
Having Guild Treasury great buildings is the easiest measure of a city’s capacity to support the Guild Treasury. Makes it easier to convince a competitive Guild to let you in. Raising the Arc to level 80 also cuts down the time required to raise other Great Buildings. However, if I were ever looking to raise a city without the Arc, I would probably look at how viable it is to raise a Hydra. If that would be too expensive to acquire the Goods then I’d probably invest in Observatory just to have a Treasury building, and once I’m in Jupiter put everything into Hydra.
I’m trying to double or triple my FP’s. I collect between 500 and 625. I have been playing since 2018. However that past two yrs have been minimal since my game buddy passed away. How did you get your collection to 3& 4 thousand fp’s every day?
So, mainly with having event buildings that generate alot of FP's and then using my Blue Galaxy charges very strategically to get a bunch of nice doubles. Sorry to hear that about your gaming buddy. It's tough when one of our fellow players passes away....One of my closest FoE friends was having major health issues earlier this year and then suddenly stopped playing....he was gone for almost 2 months and I thought he had passed....but finally he got back on to tell me that he had a major heart attack that almost took him, and he spent several weeks in recovery. I was so relieved to hear from him. I thought he was gone and it really affected me more than I would have thought.
I love how you mentioned players with multiple cities. I don't get how and why they do it!? I feel like it's kind of pointless and so much extra work and time! 🤷♂️ I had 5 Worlds years ago and quit 4 of them. It was literally driving me Insane. Lol i can barely keep up with just One World. When i had 5 i was literally on FoE All Day! Only reason i see to have multiple worlds would be i guess Diamond Farms. Which is still a lot of extra effort to get all those WWs/FoYs. Every time i ask someone why do y'all have multiple worlds no one gives me an answer. Lol i think majority of players have at least 3 or more Worlds. 🤦♂️
Some people also like to experiment in another world to try something out before committing to it in their main world, or just to take a unique approach. For example I had a second city once to practice event strategies before starting in my main city, I have also had an additional city before just to make a city look nice instead of worry about efficiency.
@oldschoolg7483 I just can't imagine having time for multiple worlds with the level of commitment it takes to be highly competitive in just ONE world! I can see having a main and maybe one diamond farm only...but hey, a tip of the cap to those who are able to maintain several successful cities!
@ywills7890 Good thought. I never really thought of using another world primarily for testing purposes. I can see where they might be helpful. Thanks for sharing!
I have been playing for a few years and am currently working on Diamond Mines. I have 3 cities that I created for that reason but am having trouble getting all the WWs needed to create an effective mine. Which leaves me with 4 active cities that all feel like my Main World. 2nd reason for having multiple worlds is my ADHD (I want to try different things in other cities). I have actually ended up just playing all the cities b/c I can't keep it all separated now (it's just a bug jumbled mess in my head) 😢
I've been trying to re-do my city for a month. While I'm in Reconstruction mode, my game loses it's connection and has to restart. I lose all my changes.
I lost interest in the game after 2 and a half years of playing daily, the day i realised how many thousands of times i click daily essentially watching static screen in foe. The game has become a click spam fest and i dont wyite enjoy it. No game mechanics are implemented if anything game mechanics are being reduced i.e removal of gvg. And all this spamming of clicks and yet if u didnt pay inno 100 dollars a month for event buildings then as much as u want to ve competitive u simply cant. Retired in feb 2024 and i m not looking back cause i know they will do nothing in making the game more clever and more enjoyable
Yes, I do. Fewer than I used to have, as they are slowing getting replaced as I acquire more efficient options! Gosh, doesn't seem like that long ago that the sentinels were the bomb! Another victim of power creep. Thanks for watching and sharing!
I too have been in a 6 month rut. The game is going in too many directions, and it's too obvious they're making it rigged to buy more stuff. Then GBG is deflating when you log on at 6AM and the whole map is claimed and locked on day one. Then QI is just another waste of time also
Thanks for the sub and the comment! I have gotten to where I actually like the new QI. I think the rewards are outstanding! I am doing mostly manual fighting to maximize the life of my troops, but actually i think that is more interesting and adds more drama than auto-battling in GbG. I am in on QI for the moment.
I am a new player, around 4 months. i played few events and i have a bunch of special buildings. but i don't get all motived when i collect and i really need them motived, how can i collect more self aids or mass self aids? i get few from atiques dealer and quests, but there are not enough. thank you.
There are unique buildings from events that produce mass self aid kit fragments. I got Nutcrackers from the xmas event and laid down enough for one full kit each day.
This ^^^^ The best way I know to obtain alot of mass-self aid kits is with Joyful Nutcrackers, the upgraded version of the Nutcrackers that came out at holiday time 2023.
As the others say, Mass Self Aid kits are the best permanent solution for this. But it takes many months before you have enough Nutcrackers that enable you to consistently make at least 1 Mass Self Aid kit per day. I am still not at that stage and I have been playing for 11 months. I do have a golden Ketebo Candy thing so I am producing Nutcracker fragments. Currently at like 28/30 fragments per day for the Mass Self Aid kit. But that is not really helpful for you in your current situation, with your immediate problem. Other things you can do right now: - make sure you have 140 active (!) friends. If they go inactive, delete them. Look in the friends taverns of your friends. There you can find active players. PC players are better than mobile players because they can auto-aid without advertisements. More friends = more chance of being aided by them. - join a very big guild, preferably 75+ players. It should be a guild that enforces activity so that you are being aided as much as posssible. - delete or do not place small 1x1 buildings that suck up aid before your important buildings. The Sparkstorm towers are especially bad for this. I had 20 of them and they had priority over my big event buildings. That led to me manually aiding my big buildings because those little annoying towers sucked up all the aid. I ended up deleting all of them.
For sure, I mentioned that as one of the way to stay engaged....sometimes I feel that I would lose an advantage by aging up, especially in Future. But I think if I get to a point where fighting is a little less important, aging up is a great way to keep going. Thanks!
@@BardoFarkinsThe lamest ages are Arctic and Oceanic futures, just do AI core 80 and try to rush Space Carrier when you are in that ages, maybe 2 times to 60 :)
I hate settlements in the game so the fact QI ended up just being a settlement game that you need to do settlements to get better at, at the same time... Brother. I used to average 5k fights a season in gbg but I get a few hundred now, I just can't sit there auto battling endlessly anymore. Especially after their new changes. "Let's make gbg take even longer. Even more fights per sector. Even more top guild sided. Even more imbalanced. Hey you know what would make GBG fun? If you also had to spend hours a day scrounging for resources to afford a building now and then." Beh. QI has to be the most monotonous thing in existence. You repeat the same armies against the same armies with the exact same actions every single manual battle to the point that auto battling is actually more fun. And if you want to succeed you look up a guide and repeat that for the settlement every single season. Same action. Same collections. Every time. Every week. It's awful. To comment on starting or joining a new guild, FoE devs have gone in the direction of "only the top guilds can thrive". so that's not really an option unless your intention is to stop doing pretty much everything..
Thanks for watching and sharing. You make good points. As for starting a new guild, sometimes I think about what it would be like if I rounded up all of my favorite players with similar game philosophies and goals, and started a brand new guild.
I quit FOE when they canceled gvg.. was playing since 2014 with some breaks in the meantime, but for me game lost its charm when they closed gvg, its not even just gvg as a feature in our guild it was in Discord voice gathering and playing all together and ppl were chatting and having fun... and yes, like you said, game became a chore, second job that no one needs. . every new event has so OP buildings that are outdated after a few months, not to talk about gbg auto battle mode... it ruined the game, it has no charm anymore.... you can make 20x events per year, but if they don't change their game fundamentally, it is matter of time when whole FOE will go to trash. Many longtime players have quit, others are slowly quitting too
INNO has turned it into a wargame, and I'm no longer interested. It's tedious, boring, and requires no skill whatsoever -- just clicking Autobattle a few hundred times a day. I'll be leaving it very soon myself.
I think that is why INNO introduced QI....but to your point, that is a war element, and if you don't like that part of the game, then....well. Your comment is a common feeling. Thanks for sharing.
I got extremely bored after two years of playing for hours a day. It cost too damn much and the people constantly arguing just made it way less enjoyable.
You’ve obviously invested a lot of time and $ into the game. Maybe with a healthy break and a new guild perhaps, you can come back to a place of enjoyment with the game. Thanks for sharing.
@@BardoFarkins I leveled up to the point where I had good power and I joined a mid-level guild. I enjoyed it but I didn’t enjoy staying put in eras for very long so I eventually outgrew that guild and was asked to join a pretty powerful guild. That was fun for awhile but I saw a LOT of in fighting, taking sides, and people “bullying” others. I eventually started my own guild and some of my members got into it with another guild, which is fine, but that other guild decided that they wanted to contact me personally and curse me out. 😂 These things were a constant in the game. It really became like babysitting little kids. I ended up losing my love for it and have been away for years because of it. I ended at the Tomorrow era.
Been playing game since 2014 been in the same rut collect city and minimal fights if i can be bothered since they took GVG away, the very reason I commited to this game, also lost a lot of interest since cheaters started using bots and scripts, seeing FOE ignore those type of players, game has become a farce
Cheaters suck. Makes a great game not much fun. I don't experience the effects of much cheating myself....that I know of ,anyhow. But i know it's out there.
Get rid of the music! It's obnoxious, louder than your voice, and quite frankly disgusting (but that's just my taste to each their own). What's not subjective however is the fact that the music is louder than your voice and i cant listen to the video. As a result i paused this video in the first minutes, proceeded to give this constructive criticism and then leave and never watch it until th end because i just can't
There is a lot of cheating going in in this game, usually by people running multiple accounts in the same world. I've never gotten a response to my reports.
@@guidodenbroeder935 Yeah, all this cheating going on, and inno sweeps it under the rug as long as it makes them money. Which is why I wanted to start putting a public spotlight on it.
Don't stop making these videos. You absolutely make my day whenever I see a new one pop up. :D
Not to mention the pointless stages in event quests.
I think that QI was to reduce monotony by implementing the need to fight manually....Some love that, some hate it! But i hear you for sure.
@@BardoFarkins That part of the QI is OK, it should just be much shorter.
Thank you for the positive feedback and encouragement. I think there can be a way to cut back and still find some enjoyment....good luck!
This is so true Bardo. I'm burned out...took a month off and left my high level guild. I missed my mates and couldn't wait to get back to them. Still burned out on the time consumption aspect but needed to engage with my guildmates.
Thanks for weighing in. It seems like a month off or so every now and then might be a healthy approach to long term enjoyment of the game.
A 7-year FoE veteran with a legit perspective. More is not always better, right?
I am in top3 guild in east nagach and only ones that are happy playing it are those that pay 10000 diamonds each qi season. I had a guy that pulled 7000 points last season. U spend real money than u can switch up your city each month. It gets terrible for long play.
I pull 6000fp per day and its sooo boring that all of my stuff goes toAO. After all its only building that matter when u reach TITAN.
Possible topic of a new video: "What can you expect from good guild?" of "10 signs of a good guild"
Can you expect free handouts of goods? Like Titan goods? Is it reasonable to be promoted? QI officer or GBG officer? What if they don't unlock GE5? Are weekly prizes a must? Can you post in the 1.9 thread if your guild is racing in GBG against another guild? What if you don't mee the minimum number of fights for one GBG session? Or QI? Is a lot of chit-chat important? Are medals as flavour text in the guild member list a nice thing?
Those are just some things off the top of my head.
You know what? I love this idea. That's a great idea for a video. I can see myself doing that soon! Thank you for the suggestion.
5 x "Prize A - Top Value"
10 x "Prize B - 2nd best value"
20 x "Prize C - 3rd best value"
**Unlimited "Prize D - Lowest value" (**not something that can happen with tangible prizes in a physical barrel)
As soon as someone wins one Prize A, there are only 4 left - making the chance of winning "Prize A" Less.
Really appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts and experiences, especially with events. Solid points - Thanks for watching!
And even worse, now some event rewards are just more event currency. It doesn't get stupider than that.
The spiral road is a suggestion from Elvenar, btw. It is not always optimal but it helps.
Yeah, it might depend on what buildings you have and how much space you have ?? Who is Elvenar?
Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for watching and taking a moment to share. 180 att in Mars - that's outstanding - nice work! I appreciate the encouragement, thanks.
It's not so much that it's hard. It's just boring as helll.

Sensible strategy to pull back a bit from the time commitment of multiple cities. Hope you find a good balance. Thanks for watching and sharing!
make a guild solely for yourself ..don’t let anyone else in and play to your own pace ..i now play whenever i want , however i want ..it removes a huge amount of external pressure to be on at certain times and the inevitable back biting within the guild..(always starts with we are a great easy going guild but never stays like that)as in certain people not fighting on high attrition tiles , not taking turn in diamond buildings, slow doing GE , the expectation that because your a high lvl player you should put extra into everything, i joined a global 1:9 thread so my building spots are taken however i want . im working on a lvl 200 AO ..after getting a lvl 100 delphi ..i produce within the city over 4k fps daily and tbh arc doesn’t interest me ..i know its super powerful but cant be bothered with hyper levelling it
It's one thing I love about the game. There are many ways to play it. Many philosophies and playing styles. The main thing is that it is enjoyable for you. Thanks for weighing in with this refreshing perspective.
1x1 buildings it's adding to it, especially as they're not half bad so you need to take your time to consider between the 5 of them every event.
Yep, feeling the same...I play 5 cities and the ones I enjoy playing most are my PE worlds, I have higher era units in both (Turts) and have built them as pure fighting cities, only attack GBs and buildings. I enjoy progressing through the ages, gaining higher era units along the way, clearing the map, doing Story Quest
I find my main city in SAT the most tedious to play, it's just too much effort to compete in all the different facets of the game
Great perspective and approach. You're a good example of being a successful player but not getting too caught up into it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing and watching!

city layout for me Labyrinth
Thanks for watching - appreciate it!
I bet those WWs come in really handy! Thanks for watching and sharing.
I have a hybrid DF just for generating diamonds .. again totally different challenges. two main fighting worlds camped in FE just for the full on GBG in one and in a no hassle just for fun guild in the other . my main world is tech tree focused .these are how ive kept going for years now and still find it refreshing as they all function different
and just keep doing what you're doing !!! it's always good to see others styles etc
This is what I would like to have but I'm not sure how to change the cities?
I had a form of this in mind when I started building my 💎 mine cities (but I was not sure how to do it effectively).
Thanks for the encouragement and great comment!
The city building tool has been programmed wrong and gives suboptimal results, sometimes even finding no solution when there actually is one.
Also why cant they introduce rotate buildings???
ahh yes, rotating buildings....If they added that to the game, all of our dreams would come true!

I have a question for you. What values do you enter for your "building efficiency rating" on foe helper?
Been playing four years and I have paid real $$ for diamonds exactly one time: to make sure I got the Phantom Tower of Conjunction during that event.
I have never had that happen. But that must suck! Dang.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe at some point you will regain interest. Or maybe not!
I use BG repeat stradegy on Mughal.
I can definitely see that being a good move! Thanks for watching and chiming in!
You have a lot of sentinels - I can only assume you don't have the 1x1 buildings with greater efficiency to replace them.
Other things you can do right now:
- make sure you have 140 active (!) friends.
Hi, maybe considering moving ages?
If you also had to spend hours a day scrounging for resources to afford a building now and then."
Beh.
Work on some tech tree action.
Definitely can increase interest....when we keep working towards a goal. Thank you!
Thank you for the feedback.
Heart of the Rift and other top guilds caught cheating. Will Inno games allow this? Wait and see if they address it or not.
Hate to see top guilds cheating...really any guilds cheating ,but especially top guilds - love it when they get busted. Which world are you in?
@@BardoFarkins Cigard
There is a lot of cheating going in in this game, usually by people running multiple accounts in the same world. I've never gotten a response to my reports.
@@guidodenbroeder935 Yeah, all this cheating going on, and inno sweeps it under the rug as long as it makes them money. Which is why I wanted to start putting a public spotlight on it.
@@Wisenbrowwhy do you think rift is cheating?
