this movie had my dad, my sister and i on our toes. we literally were so stressed and our heart rates were so high. i still have the stress this movie caused me but ITS SO DARN GOOD. it literally is INSANE and kept us all engaged the whole time. Literally insane.
Same here! I just got thru watching it and came here to see what others had commented. It was such a good movie. I held my breath thru most of it. The message was important but being as the main character (Owen Wilson) didn’t know about the issue, it was gut wrenching watching it play out. Those kids would need therapy for life if it was real.

yep. and i watched it on a sunday when i was extra stressed already about having to go to work again on monday. sundays always get me, but for some reason the existential dread hit harder that day, so i watched a movie to take my mind off things. wrong movie. lol.
damn it was good. so stressful. it really is the definition of an 'edge of your seat' kind of movie.

I was an extra on this film in the early hotel scenes, but the director cut us while he was shooting. I snuck away from my group of extras and watched Owen Wilson do a stunt, running into a jump onto a car and the leaping from the car to a ladder on a wall and climbing up (to escape from the revolutionaries). He did it over and over again while they shot from different angles. The dude works HARD.
Where was the shooting? In Thailand?

Love Owen, the guy can do comedy and action, plus "Behind Enemy Lines" was pretty good as well, so glad that he was able to change his life around, he is just a nice dude...
This Movie is honestly one of the movies people slept on in 2015 , they did a great job especially working with a 5 million dollar budget the movie was great.
Jambo I also was really impressed with it, so much that it was in my top 3 favorite films from 2015.
I'm shocked I'm only just now finding out about this movie, just when you think you've watched all the good movies you always find a hidden gem.

Im 32.... seen a lot of movies lol.... ive never watched a movie like this; it LITERALLY had me glued from beginning to end.... theres no bathroom breaks in a movie like this... your body will succumb to the story... its hard to describe how well this movie was directed.
Never seen a movie like this before, and havent seen one like it since. You WILL NOT be able to take your eyes off the screen... its almost hypnotic.

Rarely do I find myself thrilled throughout an entire movie. I would wonder off and look at my phone here and there but with this movie I was always anxious as to what will happen next. Zombie movies don't even have the same effect. 100% enjoyed this movie

I just watched this movie and oh my land, it's brutality intense and insane. Once the war began, it kept me on the edge of my seat and it was insane because a family went through crazy stuff. I felt bad for all of them and I can't imagine them going through something like that.

Coz it can happen. I came from Asia and something happened to Chinese hongkong tourists years ago... they were held hostage by this cop on a bus. Alot of tourists got killed and kill himself. Like murder suicide. Scarry yes. Especially if there's political unrest that's going on in a country.

this movie has a false premise meaning these things don't happen to americans in certain places. their government would quash any rebellion against americans bc they want to keep our tourist money coming. $10.00 could feed a family of four for six months there.

He always had a plan no matter the situation. He always put his family before his own life. And his wife even though couldn't understand what he was doing stood by his side and helped him. Oh my god this movie is so amazing and indeed spectacular, every scenes are jaw dropping and very intense. My heart skips a beat so fast, I can’t think what will happen next to them, it’s so very unpredictable from the very start until the end, I highly recommended No Escape 10/10! All the casts did a really great job for potraying their characters and roles in this movie. WHAT A GREAT STORYLINE, CINEMATOGRAPHY, SCREENPLAY, DIRECTOR, ALL IN ALL!

One problem, because Owen Wilson is normally in comedies, for the first 1/2 hour, I kept thinking he was going to do something funny.
Amazing movie! I was so relieved the moment they reached the border! So ironic, Vietnam offering shelter to Americans. Poor Vietnamese people did not deserve the pain and death America brought upon them.
