I keep hoping for someone or a few companies pool their resources together and make a high quality head/mechanism like the old days! And they can also sell the heads to other manufacturers to make different variants.
I believe the big brands like Sony would reconsider making their own products if the Fiio cassette player will sell really well. So, this is good for the business.
Mine works well, the only thing I think Fiio got wrong here was how they implemented the headphones, as it does not like modern headphones with the 4 sections on the plugs at all. This things sounds great lined into a car stereo or my old plain stereo headphones from years ago, but it won't work with modern headphones with mics or remotes. I suspect people who complain about garbage sound from this thing haven't worked that bit out yet. If you like it loud, a headphone amp helps.
8:34 That is interesting because some test showed that the fiio is playing tapes to fast right after unboxing and even faster after a longer usage.. so...
Overall, this cassette mechanism does appear to play slightly fast. But as I’ve used this since the taping of the episode, it settled down a bit. Could be my unit as well.
Not sure if they changed something, but this particular unit actually sounded pretty decent. There is still the "issue" of the bass being too weak, but overall it is actually good, and sounds correct, so no problems with the equalization, unlike the transparent one, which just sounds kinda wrong.
I'd consider one if they knock off about $25. It's basically cheap Chinese manufacturing camouflaged in an aluminum case. More garbage to unload on Ebay in about 6 months.
Amazing that there is still a market for portable cassette players like this. The days of having to deal with a noticeable noise floor and not over.
Definitely agree, but it’s nice to see companies try to make a decent player for those that want one.

Me, too. Thanks for watching.

@@michalostv9725 I totally agree.
I’m crying 😭
I wonder if Sony will make some Retro Audio products again
Thanks for watching. Wouldn’t that be cool if Sony did that.
If the demand is there, Sony would be foolish to not produce a couple of their better Walkman players.
@@jaycoleman8062 For a cosmic prices probably...

Thanks for watching. Didn’t know about the modern headphone issue. Thanks for the tip.
I got this for $108.00 delivered. It is very good for what it is, a reasonable unit to play old cassettes.
Thanks for watching and the comment.
Amazing ❤
Thanks for watching!

it's adjustable.
That thing looks pretty good. I may just buy one.
Thanks for watching.
Very professional video. Well done!!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the info on the Fiio! I'm new to collecting cassette tapes/players, how did you copy from a CD to a cassette?
Thanks for watching. I made a copy of the CD (I created using Roxio Toast) straight to tape using a cassette deck from Fisher.

Thanks for watching. Agreed. The less expensive player just sound off in the comparison.
I have it. It sound really good I think.
Thanks for watching.
First! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Will do!

Thanks for watching. Still hoping for Sony to jump back into the ring.
Fiio stuff is actually very well made, they make some of the best DAPs on the planet.
it doesnt sound very good to me mind you its over youtube and captured, its ok sounds kinda fluttery when your walking. pass for me.
Thanks for watching.
This is untrue. I own this. It is a piece of garbage. No different than any tanashin-based player.
Do you think we’ll get a decent player in the future?
Ha ha ha.....what the F for. TAPE SUCKS JUST LIKE RECORDS.
Thanks for watching, and I respect your opinion.
