Is that an old horn you're playing. I think newer horns have a blander sound in my opinion. I just bought a great new gold black lacquer alto which plays like a dream but doesn't have that edge my vintage Keilwerth has to say nothing of the huge sound the Keilwerth has. The new horn sounds dorky squawky and bland by comparison.
Most alto players (in fact tenorplayers too) I find sound very much the same these days. They have a bland generic derivative sound and a overly heavy reliance on the mid- late period Coltrane vocabulary. Nothing new I hear coming out of the instruments of modern hornplayers. Sorry I have to say that. I like your playing nevertheless. Stellar & truly spectacular. However there is saturation point whereafter I just can't listen to anymore of the same stuff.
Yes, buy the book.

What are the symbols with 2 notes/chords and a slash? Are those triad pairs?
Is it possible to get a PDF of this?
