Been looking for a setup with eye and face tracking for social vr! I assume you got the specific eye and face tracking addons for the focus 3? Does the eye tracking help with the focus issue or "sweet spot" issue he talked about in the video? I saw an HTC video on the eye tracking stating that it sharpens the picture wherever your eyes are looking. Also what do you use for the body tracking with this headset? Sorry for the random comment 3 months later!
Your straight talking honestly is priceless , subscribed & thankyou Ps received my vive pro 2 & I agree with everything you described on that & sadly sending it back
Are the binocular overlap/stereo overlap stats the same as the Vive Pro 2? SadlyItsBradly (tc - 15:45) and Thrillseeker (tc- 7:40) get between 60-65% in their VP2 reviews. supposedly, this causes a disconnect in the users vision involving double imaging or blur, and most other headsets are 85%+ on average. My hope was that because the display and these lenses were made for this headset rather than the VP2, the issue would disappear for the Vive Focus 3.
@@Helifax19 That's still a problem for the VP2/VF3 if other headsets are able to mitigate/avoid the problem in comparison. And I still want to know if the VF3 covers/mitigates that deficiency like other headsets or not. I've got an unopened VP2 (with less than a week left of refund time), and I'm trying to get my hands on VF3 via the consumer form on HTC's website. $$$, time, energy, etc. Would've been nice to get that information here in this review. Even if Voodoo's numbers are different to SiB and Thrill, posting his own VP2/VF3 stereo overlap numbers would be extremely helpful.
I don't know if we are hardware ready for high resolution vr headsets yet. Maybe when 8k 60fps is a thing. Which shouldn't be too far. Maybe like in the next 3 generations.
im always fixed it in that HMD collection in the back. Have you taught some day doing a 90's HMD reviews? They would also look great in your collection. Funny enough my most watched VR channels are from German gentleman >;D
My theory is that this was initially aimed at normal customers, but they couldn't get the price down low enough. So they called it a "Buisiness" headset, and kept the price high. Just my theory.
Regarding price, the Quest 2 for Enterprise isn't $299, but actually $799US + $180/year. So the price difference for business users isn't very large. Regarding FOV. Natural Human FOV is greater horizontally, than vertically. So expecting round lenses in the future headsets isn't realistic. Even the Varjo XR-3 and XTAL HMDs all have rectangular shaped lenses. Your video gives the impression that the Focus 3 has lower vertical FOV than the something like the Quest 2, when that isn't true.
@@theloner6063 UA-camrs like MRTV have been measuring vertical FOV for years. He even admits in his Focus 3 review that the vertical FOV is no less than the Quest 2. Yet, I'm supposed to believe you when you state it's "Not a Thing", because you measured it....... Riiiiiiiight.
oculus quest 2 has a way better library of games and is meant for consumers. focus 3 barely has any games on because it was made for businesses. quest 2 is way cheaper, sitting at $299 USD. while, the focus 3 is $1,300. trust me, get the quest 2.
Thanks for the review. I know that the FOV is different between individuals, but I really loved that part of your content since your first reviews. Cheers!
HTC sucks Enterprise or not I really don't understand why people keep buying their products as HTC keeps doing the same stupid shit over and over. Their lens tech is lackluster at best
But they're not. People just love Valve like it's Apple. They're a LOT of positive Pro 2 reviews of people (and I'm one of them) that have no idea about all the hate that the Pro 2 is getting. I've owned every major HMD since the original Vive and the Pro 2 is by FAR the best. The horizontal FOV is best in class (outside of Pimax) and the vertical FOV is slightly larger than the Rift S and G2. So the vertical fov is not tiny it's just "normal". Not sure what Voodoo is on about what he calls the sweetspot (it sounds like he actually means edge to edge clarity). This thing has great edge to edge clarity for such a large FOV at an extreme resolution. The picture is best in class for an LCD with razor sharp visuals, great contrast, colors. The headset fits great and the speakers are second best after the Index. The only legitimate criticism I've seen is that the mic sucks. The glare is very typical for large fov and is not any worse than Index glare. The HTC hate needs to seriously stop because we barely have any VR hardware manfacturers and it would be an absolute shame if only Valve and Facebook are supported. With Valve timescales we might be waiting 10 years for an Index 2 (if it ever happens) and with Facebook we're looking at the death of PC VR. Vive/HTC has always had excellent VR systems with the only misstep being the cosmos series to a certain extent (which it seems they've learned from).

dude you do the best reviews just cause they are so genuine and clear lol thanks ❤
Thank you 😊
I think the reason it costs so much more than the quest, is because it is not data mining, like the quest.
And now with full wireless face/eye/body tracking, *its the best truly wireless full body social VR headset for sale.*

totally agree about your review on the lenses, looks like they focused more on the build quality and looks then most important part the lenses!

do the controllers work with the base station? these controllers seem like they should have been shipped with the vive pro 2

once DLSS improves for vr the current 20 and 30 series gpus will be able to run these high resolutions for vr

wrong.Vertical FOV on Focus 3 is garbage...I tested myself...."realistic Vertical FOV" is not a thing in any VR headset...even Pimax...

no
Do not be afraid show your measurements fov. There is nothing wrong. I wonder how much you personal have.
I want the price to go down and then I will consider to buy one of these headsets.
I just picked one up for $350, gl
I still will never understand why HTC didn't make a version of these controllers with lighthouse tracking.
Thanks.
