Bought my TT interval shorts based on your previous recommendation. Best workout gear I have, thanks bud. Keep the up the good work with the honest reviews.
I have worn the Interval shorts for years. I think I did have the waist band issue on like two pairs but overall the quality is there. Every other pairs have held up. probably my favorite shorts.
That's sick and I feel that. I feel like there's always some variability with durability in apparel here and there and I wonder if that's just the nature of the beast...as I build TF2 socks...!!
Hey Jake, awesome video! I have a pair of these and love them but I was wondering what’s your favorite pair of training/ athleisure shorts for everyday wear or use that has a slightly more casual look but is also able to train in? Thanks brother!
Thank you! I've been rocking a few diff shorts depending on what I'm feeling for the day. Most casual are the Vuori Sunday Performance. I'll also rock the Lulu Pace Breaker + License to Train shorts casually then to train in.
Wow this was a really good review. I bought a couple pairs before I saw this review so unfortuantely I didn't get to use your code but if these shorts work well for me, I'll be back with your code!
Same experience. I do have big thigh and the M liner was tight to the point that I wanted to return it. Some stitches were also giving up after the first use, before washing it so I've had 3 pairs since Black Friday but wore it once. Contemplating selling 2 pairs cause I missed the return window
I’m in the U.K. so face import costs buying TT gear (really want to avoid making returns). I recently purchased 7” interval lined (large) and although I love them for my needs (mainly weight lifting), the liner is a bit too snug and overall the shorts are bit too snug on my hips. I want to try the tactical shorts next but read they size a bit smaller than the interval, would you concur with that and recommend sizing up in the tactical short? Also what’s your thoughts on the 5” with liner? I’ve seen reviews which really rate the liner on the 5”inch shorts more than the 7”. Thanks
Pro Tip: Wear them for a few sessions (stagger out their use) at a time before washing and let them air dry. This will help them stretch for a better fit and not shrink at all or tighten in the dryer. They do run smaller, I'd go XL in the Tactical and I don't loveeeee the 5" short with the liner because I feel like their lengths conflict more and then the liner ends up riding up
They're not too bad and don't bother me, but they're also not the MOST breathable so I don't want to say they're the best. If you want a wispier shell, I'd go Lulu Pace or Legends Luka!
I just ran a half in the HOKA Challenger 7s and they were okay. My fave shoe atm that I've been rocking is the Adizero Boston 12. I'm buying a new pair or two this week, though, because I just cut my Adizeros for that running vs training shoe video, lol.
I am an under armour fan through and through, but I do prefer performance over anything else. What do you feel is the more versatile gym shoe? The Nike Metcon 9 or the Tribase Rain 6. I like everything about the Metcons but the heel always prevented me from getting them. I like squatting deadlifting and the traditional bodybuilding type workouts. I like incorporating sprints and incline walking. I would also like to incorporate more sled pushing. The Strike Movement Haze trainers were a bit too flat for me. I have a fallen arch and the comfort just wasn’t there for me. I do like the METCON 9 when I tried them on but I did not purchase them because I was afraid of disappointment . Lol. The last pair of Tribase Reign were the originals and they hurt my feet. I just want some shoes that I can wear for heavy lifting, squats, deadlifting, and sprinting/incline walking. I am simple, but I feel there are not simple shoes out there. Please help. Maybe a Tribase reign 6 vs Metcon 9 comparison video. THANKS!!!
@@thatfitfriend Thanks for responding. I got the inov8 f fly. I saw your video about those and decided to pull the trigger on those. I think I will grab the tribase reign 6 as well and see which ones I like better. Thanks for responding and doing what you do!!!
Whats your favorite shorts period? Got some used TT foundation shorts coming in that'll be my first experience with them. Im 5'8 180lbs i got a Medium 5 and a medium 7 for $40 total. I wanted a do all fast wicking short for work/gym/mma. Thinking of trying lululemon license to train or something else from the brand. Durability over comfort for me though
Keen to hear your thoughts on the foundation. That model may be a smidge heavy for mma if you like lighter shorts. Man, I’m such a creature of habit that I would say the Interval Short lined 7” is my all-time fave. Note, that specific spec list. I don’t love the non-lined interval or the shorter inseam option The LTT shorts are pretty sick. My only gripe with them is the material can feel a smidge scratchy but you get used to it and it subsides with more wears!
@thatfitfriend Yeah I'm not sure what length I'll prefer just yet either but I personally can't stand lined shorts. What's your favorite lululemon short??
My shorts tend to split at the crouch and finding shorts is my biggest issue, especially doing CrossFit. I wear an XL in pants and finding shorts/pants has been difficult for me. Any recommendations?
With the liner shorts, do you only wear them once and then wash them or can you wear them multiple times? I like liner less because I can just switch out my underwear and wear my workout shorts more than once but the liner option feels like I can’t do that.
Alright...this is where the comments section is prob going to judge me. I'll rock pairs 2-4x before washing them if I'm wearing them for general strength + athletic/CF WODs. But I have tips if you're going to do this: 1. Space out their use. I'll rotate other shorts in, so I'll wear these let's say on Mon then again on Thur. This helps prevent stink. 2. Air them out after gym. Don't leave them in a stanky gym bag if you want to wear more than once. 3. If I'm drenched and running outside of dumping sweat into them then I'll only do 1-2x wear
Haha, we can agree to disagree there 😂 the non-lined version is just too light for my needs. I’d rather a License to Train non-lined short if I’m rocking my own compression
I put my phone in the liner, but keep a knife in the zippered pocket, sketchy area sometimes lol. (Knife is covered with a sheath obviously so it’s not stabbing anything ) I also babied them by washing on delicate and air drying. Sucks because they look great and overall are good short. 😢
@@jasonbellows7 dang. The synthetic layer is constantly having issues with certain things - bigger phone usually cause that, interesting to hear about your case!
I have a pair of old RYU shorts like really old that are made of it and a newer pair of Janji running shorts and they say 88% recycled polyester/12% elastane. I love them. I wondered if there was a specific name like "shark skin" or something of that nature. I love how water/sweat beads off and they are super smooth, so no abrasion whatsoever.

With the liner do you wear briefs or undies with them? Or the liner only?
Liner only, otherwise you’ll get bunching. Plenty of security with just the liner for the boys
