So easy to get into the Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus station as opposed to its Edinburgh counterpart. Not only a joy for the driver, but its very handy for the pedestrians as well.
Does anyone else think that Edinburgh's new bus station is far too small? I mean we are talking about what is the Scottish capital city and the bus station only really has 17-20 stances. When you compare it to Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station which has over 44 bus stances, Edinburgh's looks unfit for purpose. Plus there's only really about 5 additional spaces at the side for vehicles not in use.
Yes it is far too small and has no character. Luckily the plan to do the same to Glasgow's Bus Station with a Galleries shopping and car park extension never happened and it has survived intact.
Bit late here. How big does it need to be? Buchanan Street serves Greater Glasgow 2.8m. St Andrews Sq serves Greater Edinburgh less than 1m. Even if there were a need for larger station there's nowhere to put one in the city centre and quite enough buses trundling about the place already. Also, both Regent Road and Torphican St are used as terminus and park ups for a good few of Edinburgh's satellite/commuter services alongside St Andrew Sq. Not everything from out of town has to go in a Station nor would it make sense for some of those services to do so, particularly the ones that come from East Lothian
A very interesting video was enjoying until the ventilation noise from Harthill onwards. It is a smart looking coach and views from the upper deck look good. Cant believe it still takes 30 mins before we even reach the outskirts of Edinburgh and the state of the roads in our capital city are shocking I could see them before the coach duly rattled! Thanks for sharing looking forward to Glasgow arrival.
won another one, and I'm a fan of watching buses travelling, now this camera is too far ahead, it would be nice if she got a little inside the bus, just like that the view was show. (Brazil)
Have you ever driven a bus for a living before? No? I didn't really think so. It's the easiest thing in the world, to sit back and criticise others. I would be interested to see how you faired, probably still be at the incredibly small bus station.
@@neilburns8869 true I haven’t driven a bus. But don’t need to have to follow the RTA. The traffic light ok give you the driver that but the advanced stop line for the cyclists no excuse. Oh and whilst I may not have driven a bus/coach I have until I recently retired drove HGV class 1 for 30 years.
06:06 yes he was borderline but me myself I would have stopped On large vehicles you have to think of braking distance and sometimes you have to go for it as traffic lights are only timed for cars
Anyone know what type of tree that is @21.58 the light green one to the right? Looks kind of like a pine but more furry? Would appreciate if anyone knows because it drives me crazy every time I go past it
Nice new bus shelters, but I can imagine they will be awfully hot during the summer months. The toughened plastic will act like glass to magnify the heat. The cherry blossom on the trees along Princes Street looks lovely.
God aren't the roads of Edinburgh bad. It turns the bus into a bone shaker ! Great video by the way.
Oh those smooth roads. A good test for a demonstrator :)
Wow! I've never been to Edinburgh or the UK/Europe at all, but seeing this gorgeous city makes me want to visit.
Thank you. Paul
Thanks
Really good to see you out and about again, my friend.
I look forward to some more of your videos.👏👍🤝🤞😉

1:03:07 coach moves into outermost lane of 3 Lane motorway. Tut-tut.
He straddled it as lane 1 had a lorry and it was close to pass
But yes I agree

It looks a bit of a tight squeeze. But at least there is a bus station unlike my town!

Nice video! We want more videos all around UK´s highways and motorways. Congratulations, from Brazil!
Thanks for watching. There’s few more motorways trips scheduled.
Eurasia, simply the best!
Superb ride my friend great to see you back
Thanks. Uploads should be back to normal from May.

That's the SNP for you, their government has more potholes than our roads ;)

Cool Road Trip
great watch 👍
We'll just ignore him jumping the light at the start of the journey 😂
These journeys used to be hell as toilets were either out of order or unsanitary. Nowadays more user friendly.
Nice day bro keep going
Thanks
Very good. 👍💯
Thank you
103:31 Instarmac from My home town . Wonder if he was delivering pot hole filler to Edinburgh
Six minutes in and driver already broken two traffic laws. But great video from yourself again

When the bus driver is going through reds thats when you know you have a good one that cares about getting you there on time

I get this bus a lot btw, my favourite part is always going past bangour village hospital
Bus sounds like it's falling apart, what was all the rattling?
It is the roads that are falling apart.
Hey England 🙋🙋🙋🇬🇧
Not many cars in Edinburgh I see .
02:10
3 points on the bus drivers licence for sitting in a yellow box
tellingly, these cities are in different countries from one another
civil lines n e v e r did.........
The train isn't much quicker.
