This is an excellent interview with Mr. Koichi Akagi. He expresses himself very well with warmth and honesty, echoing the view of many photographers. The video would be better without the background music because the words of Mr. Koichi Akagi provide all that is needed, in accord with the philosophy of monochrome photography.
Wonderful images from a very pleasant & warm hearted man.

一月ぐらい前に届きました。MZ-3以来4半世紀ぐらいぶりのペンタックス一眼。
撮影してみると、赤城さん他言われているようにカラーからのグレースケールじゃないモノクロ写真だ、ってのが第一印象でした。夜のスナップもノイジーにならず気に入りました。
Great voice. Good English captioning.
I love how pure the images are. I miss that aspect in normal colour digital images treated to produce monochrome. It might need lens filters to help make some images pop but, I think this camera is an excellent proposition.
LOL, the K-3iii Monochrome looks like a wonderful camera if it is ever actually available. Here in the U.S. I am seeing that it won't be available until December of 2023. Hmmm, hopefully the K-1 iii will be available soon.
Love the camera concept. Finding good APSC K-mount glass is a challenge...
@RICOH IMAGING - please bring back the GR in your film project. Perfect for the next gen of photogs who do not require a large body. I think a GR21 with flash and GR would be a perfect launch to fill the gap for the Minolta Tc-1, Contax T1-3 users.

モノクロで都会を撮影すると架空の世界のように見えますね。
HD FA★…フィルムへの布石ですか？？？
「先鋭性」→「鮮鋭性」か。
PENTAXが生き残る道はM42レンズが連動して使用でき、最低でも絞り優先が使えないと意味が無い。しかもフルサイズが満足に製品化できない現実に呆れる。電動ズームあたりから道を間違えている。SP SPFに戻れ。K2 K2DMDも良かった。PENTAXに求めるのはファインダー内液晶情報ではなくシンプルに使いやすいカメラだ。
同意です。高解像度や動画はいらない、質実剛健な現代版SPがフルサイズでほしい、もちろんM42対応で。
フィルムや現像費の高騰のせいで私のSPはずっと寝ています。
