People need to realize that X was the one going for Ginger first, when they met the first few times he even asked Benji for being back up, she even ignored him when they interacted first few times. Only recently when X made the move on Ginger she getting more involved into the Company stuff and JP personal life, which is completely logical since he is the one that asked her out first.
