I like that Costner’s character was not a fast draw guy. He was intelligent in recognizing each step as a situation escalated, and deliberate in preparing for the logical next step before it came.
Fantastic film and I really enjoyed the nod to John Ford. A fine Western and needs to be seen on the Big screen. So looking forward to seeing Part 2. Horizon deserves Oscars for writing, directing, and acting. Thanks Kevin for making a Western I wanted to see. Brilliant.
I enjoyed Horizon but needed to see it twice in order to fully grasp the characters and the storyline(s) because I am hard of hearing. It was a great way to spend two summer afternoons in small art cinemas with buttered popcorn and an engrossing movie! Costner is so gifted in so many ways, and seems a driven artist. I am glad that he took the risk to make his dream; more people should do that! Looking forward to the rest of the series.
I, too, believe Horizon Chapter 1 is absolutely amazing!!! I loved every second of this movie. Very authentic movie in every way. Horizon is a gem! Glad you enjoyed it too.😊
I saw Part 1, it laid the foundation for the other parts that follow. I am disappointed that Part 2 is not going to be released on August 16th in theaters.
Those who criticize it thought there would be a neat little wrap up to the story line in chapter one, even though they were told ahead of time this was a four part movie. Chapter one introduced most of the main characters, and set up chapter two. Therefore, I don’t understand why people don’t like it. My advice to those of you who haven’t seen it, ignore the critics and go see it, preferably on the big screen. It is outstanding, and I predict once all four films have been released, they will be considered Costner’s masterpiece.
I was disappointed it did not show on the big screen in the Cayman islands where I'm from. We normally get most of the big movies here. But im getting ready to watch it on Prime and i know i won't be disappointed.
My husband and I went and saw this on big screen…..we loved it…..wonderful movie…..😊😊❤❤🎉…..can hardly wait til next one comes out!!!
