The second half of this chant was inspired by the Jewish activists in North America working so hard to make their voices for peace heard in October 2023, saying 'not in my name' and calling desperately on the US government to stop supporting the genocide being carried out by Israel in this moment. Our hearts are with our Palestinian friends, and also with our Israeli and Jewish friends around the world. We must all call out for this massacre to stop. So many of our governments are complicit, and we must keep calling on them to stop their support.
Please feel free to sing and change this in whatever way helps you and your community of singers at this time.

Currently going through all of your songs after being introduced to you by some wonderful colleagues and this song is just beautiful. The last nine months have been heartbreaking but we must keep fighting. I'm running a singing workshop in Manchester in two weeks' time, fundraising for a Gazan family who have managed to get to the UK with their four children, and we'll be doing songs on the theme of peace, solidarity and community.
