True. They were also selling out venues in the West in their 2012 Alive Tour. The whole world tour was completely sold out and they had to extend and add performances. People in Puru queued outside for over a week to get tickets to their concert. In New York there was a massive snowstorm that closed the airport etc. But all fans made it through the snow and the venue was packed. Americas and Europe loved them. Recommend that you see the Alive tour documentary. A great watch.

A dissertation (sometimes called a thesis) is like a large, formal research project that students carry out and then write a long report on, as the final part of (usually) a university course. Taeyang (along with GD and TOP) passed BA's (Batchelor degrees) and then all 3 went on to successfully complete MA's (Master's degrees - next level up from a BA) at university. The research project and its written report that Taeyang did for his Masters Degree is the one that was of such a high standard, that a copy is held in the Korean National Library (electronically and as a hatd copy I believe) The topic that he chose to research and then write his report on was "The influence of BIGBANG 2015 World Tour (MADE) on the Sustainability of the Korean Wave." His actual Master's Degree was in Producing Performances and Images. TOP got his Master's Degree in Theater and Film. GD got his Master's Degree in Retail and Distribution.

BIGBANG came in a generation where kpop was not huge as it is but they were pushing the boundaries they were making kpop cool to the geral public.. they were proving that kpop aint about pretty boys but are ARTIST… VIPs are very protective of them because we had to fight too and nail for them… the media was especially hard on them…

Things Bigbang did in their videos that you will never see in today's kpop world. Smoking, kissing, swearing, even drinking with VIPs at fan event! Oh and changing their pants in full view ! Don't ask me which video, I can't remember already. And I love that they publish their true self to the public. No need to put on an act just to fulfil some fan fantasy. VIPs are very mature and real.
They were lit like that?? I would have never guessed it at all. It is cool that they are able to be themselves and show that they are human. That most of life is about their career but they also know when to loosen up and have fun.
Taeyang and G-Dragon also had sexy dances for their fans in their 2010 and 2009 concerts, respectively. Some called for obscenity charges against G-Dragon bc it wasn't labeled an event for adults while Taeyang separated his shows in 2010 b/t an all-ages one and only one for adults in response to the controversy GD faced the year prior.
They are the best live performers on earth, no doubt. I miss them like mad. BIGBANG doesn't have perfectly synchronized choreo or anything; they just have fun on stage, which somehow makes any people smile. It was like a huge party. If they have a concert again, I will definitely go, WHATEVER IT TAKES!
It was the biggest world tour by Korean act for several years. Still top-3. Daesung, as anyone in BIGBANG, love and care a lot about fans. Taeyang just more like our mama, he even feed VIPs anytime he has chance. Seungri more like a friend to fans. Daesung and TOP are savage kings, always can tell where you wrong, GD of course daddy vibe) BIGBANG educate their fans to be more polite, kind, do not interfere in artists private life, do not violate your favourite artists boundaries and many more. VIP and BIGBANG are both extremely savage to each other. And of course we love and support each other no matter what. 💛💛💛💛💛

Also Bigbang are the first Kpop group to break into Forbes 2016 w $44M,higher than Maroon 5 that time, Forbes Under 100,and Forbes 30 under 30 ranking at #13 after Taylor Swift that time. They also won in MTV Awards for Best Worldwide Act.
You can't know the feeling of 16 years of being VIP like me and many of us! The patience we have is in another level 😁 Eventhough they have their solo career and life even a small update in their social media accounts make us happy. I am lucky and blessed to have all these performances and songs so accessible. The downside is i dont get to experienece the emotions VIP's felt when they were waiting and then the song released. Also all the award shows or the drama that went on in between i missed as well.

I was one of the VIP's who witnessed BIGBANG's concerts and from the start until the end of every performance we were wilding out, dancing, head banging, jumping, and most especially tearing joyfully just to see them. I don't think there are any Kpop groups nowadays, even those famous in this era, could surpass that overall level. BIGBANG is not only the standards, but also the maximum standards and that's why they're the KINGS of Kpop. BIGBANG (G-dragon) invented the idea of having concert light stick. Taeyang, GD and Seungri are pretty fluent in English and were at that time too. TOP and Daesung were not so good but now they improved. Also Seungri and Daesung know Japanese very well, almost like native speakers. Taeyang and GD know Japanese as well, TOP knows some base. Seungri also very fluent in Chinese.
And GD is good in Chinese too (Mandarin?) They all amaze me. Learning European languages - each one has the same alphabet, cultural background and share significant areas of etymology. They (not sure about TOP, maybe 2/3) are fluent in 3/4 languages, each with different alphabets, different cultures and different etymologies....so, so much harder.
@@iolog513 not sire how good GD is in Chinese. Cuz I remember Seungri was teaching him some base words on stage. Seungri also has some base knowledges in Thai and Tagalog as I know. Yes, they are truly amazing. Their personal skills are insane, even music instruments: Daesung - drums, Seungri/Taeyang/GD - piano, TOP - harmonica. Moreover, T.O.P, GD and Seungri can beatbox. Hardworking and talented boys 💛
@@ankoin It may be wrong, but I read that at the beginning Seungri and GD learnt Chinese whilst Taeyang and Darsung learnt Japanese. I have seen GD speaking to Chinese audiences in Chinese - but maybe that was later on. I wouldn't be suprised if Seungri was more fluent as I also read that he really focused on learning languages - not suprising for the man that often leads the fan talk on stage. :)
I am just wondering when they had the time to study these languages because like it was mentioned, these are languages that have different alphabets and difficult pronunciations!! I am shocked by their fluency in each language. I wonder how many years it took them to get the level they are at. Also the best way to communicate with someone from a different country is through their language so it is incredible they did the hard work to speak to them in their language when they were touring.
@@kjreacts7715 for Seungri learning different languages is not very hard. The reason is he likes to interact with people. And when he has interest it's more easy for him. He knows a lot of base phrases from different languages, especially Asian ones. Anyway BIGBANG began to learn languages in YG when they were rookies.
@@kjreacts7715I think maybe he was only hiding the neck tatoo from his parents cos they didn't want him to get more and he hadn't broken the news to them yet. He got his first tattoo in 2007 and now has around 20 of them now on his neck, arms, fingers, body, legs.. Sometimes he may have to cover them up so what he is doing can be broadcast, or perhaps for some adverts, but he doesn't hide the fact that he has them and generally doesn't cover them up. They are visible in his One of a Kind solo world tour 2013 and his Act III M.O.T.T.E solo world tour 2017 and also in his mv's. YG's later artist Blackpink apparently had terms in their contract that they couldn't smoke, drink alcohol, go to clubs or get tattoos without the permision of the agency. I think BIGBANG were misunderstood for these things and got public criticism and so later groups had more restrictions put on them. I can't know, but I think it must be a lot of pressure on these later groups, but maybe not as much as the level of criticism they might have had and potental negative impact on their careers, if the restrictions weren't there.

Great watching this with you. One thing I have really liked about BIGBANG over the years is for superstars, how grounded and sef-reflective they are, and also their lack of artifice. Apart from their own personalities, I think having these great people around them that treat them like family rather than being "yes" people helps. It says a lot for the members too, about how warmly those around them feel about them. They have a great relationship with their dancers and with Band 6 too. Band 6 have their own channel, but not much on it. I think tjey have an mv of them preparing for a BB concert though. I think that in 4th gen kpop groups it is not so easy to get such a natural recording as this, because media and industry pressures seem to be such that, even behind the scenes stuff, their is a much greater awareness of the camera and image and what they say. I don't think we are likely to see the likes again of TOP's response to being secretly filmed by Taeyang - at least not in the edited and publushed version 😅
Wheww!! Yes! Having those type of people around is key in life and especially when you are constantly when you productive at a high level. Also, BIGBANG has found people are llike minded and share similar values. They are wonderful people and they attracted people who are wonderful as well. They are not your typical celebrity or artist. They break every barrier in that. New groups definitely will struggle with alot because of how big the media is now days.
Before the MADE movie was made available in YT for free during the pandemic the fans were even joking that GD was drunk as all hell during the sober performance. Oh it hurt bad when we found out he was having heat stroke.
I have been a fan of BIGBANG for 10 years. Except for family, BIGBANG has always been the best thing for me. I attended Taeyang and Daesung's concert. Even though I knew it would be difficult, I still wanted to attend a BIGBANG concert with all 5 members once in my life. Thanks for reaction! 💛
@@kjreacts7715 I attended Daesung's concert 2 weeks ago in Vietnam. That was the first time I met him. Every moment is valuable, but I remember the most when he was alone singing BIGBANG's ballad songs, it was so heartbreaking, he sang Blue-Haru haru-If You-Last dance-Still life, all the fans here that cried a lot... Um that was our youth. I really wanted to attend the BIGBANG concert with all 5 members, but you know, it seems like it won't happen anymore. Right now, just being able to meet each person makes me feel good. Hope you will always support BIGBANG. I'm waiting for your next BIGBANG reaction video

I always lead with authenticity and rawness and this channel is about going on a journey with all of these artists, understanding the hard work and intention to detail that goes into every song. His concert grosses in Japan are probably on par w/ Taeyang's concert tours overall. Taeyang does have songwriting royalties though.

Big Bang is STILL the only group who boasts BOTH the Rock-n-roll and Hip-Hop spirits(especially on live stages) into one and delivered it in the form of Kpop minus the robotic choroegraphies. The combination of eccentricity, attitude and swag, all of which when propelled by their energy and passion is why their concerts are worth the price of admission. PSY is the only other Korean live performer who can relate.

What's actually sad was Gd been dragged on that Baebae performance many netizens and kmedia accused him of being high and drunk perfoming. He never defended himself so when this movie came out it was a real slap on their faces.
Even the members of Big Bang would say that G-Dragon doesn't really keep himself as healthy as he should. He's also a known cigarette smoker. He spends most of his time in a recording studio or touring until he enlisted so it's no wonder that he's had these sort of problems. They even demonized him for getting injured while serving in the military. He had a known ankle injury during his 2013 tour. I've seen some paparazzi videos of him where he's just dozing off in the car in the airport while the others are awake. The media just labels him a drug user though but it's not that hard to tell that he pushes himself to the limits a ton.

1:29:00 Not sure if this was the reason but he had mentioned that he had a fear to look at the fans in the eyes because of the criticism he received back when he had an accident that may had caused the death of a motorcyclist. It was all in the past however he had a really hard time recovering from it and had stage fright after that.
Funny story my best friend was in Hawaii with her family and I follow GD on IG. So GD post a video of him zip lining in Hawaii. So I call her and say hey you and GD are both in Hawaii so she looks at his IG and in the mean time Taeyang posted a picture of the view outside on a hotel balcony. So i tell her hey Teayang posted a picture. She looks and says that she thinks its this hotel near her. And I am like weird i wonder why they are in Hawaii. Do you think they have a concert there. Well they were having a concert that night. She got tickets and went. She said that T.O.P wasn't expected to be there but he was. The funny thing is she went for me because I am the BigBang fan. She would call me and I would scream over the phone. She took a ton of pics for me. I think that was the last US concert ever :(

By now I think you know why VIPs is so protective of BIGBANG! u r in japan so there are positive chances for daesung and yongbae (taeyang) concerts ✌️ as for yang hyun suk or yg as a person. he was a great producer and had a close relationship with all bigbang members esp. gd and yb. in the movie their bond was still strong. they were so close that each member teased him on tv😂 back then it was obvious that he put his artists first. but as the company got biggger, things happened. yg stepped down and everything has been going down since then. the chinese song yb sang at 1.27.00 is a legend song, "yue liang dai biao wo de xin".

A dissertation (sometimes called a thesis) is like a large, formal research project that students carry out and then write a long report on, as the final part of (usually) a university course. Taeyang (along with GD and TOP) passed BA's (Batchelor degrees) and then all 3 went on to successfully complete MA's (Master's degrees - next level up from a BA) at university. The research project and its written report that Taeyang did for his Masters Degree is the one that was of such a high standard, that a copy is held in the Korean National Library (electronically and as a hatd copy I believe) The topic that he chose to research and then write his report on was "The influence of BIGBANG 2015 World Tour (MADE) on the Sustainability of the Korean Wave." His actual Master's Degree was in Producing Performances and Images.
TOP got his Master's Degree in Theater and Film.
GD got his Master's Degree in Retail and Distribution.

Things Bigbang did in their videos that you will never see in today's kpop world. Smoking, kissing, swearing, even drinking with VIPs at fan event! Oh and changing their pants in full view ! Don't ask me which video, I can't remember already. And I love that they publish their true self to the public. No need to put on an act just to fulfil some fan fantasy. VIPs are very mature and real.
They were lit like that?? I would have never guessed it at all. It is cool that they are able to be themselves and show that they are human. That most of life is about their career but they also know when to loosen up and have fun.
Taeyang and G-Dragon also had sexy dances for their fans in their 2010 and 2009 concerts, respectively. Some called for obscenity charges against G-Dragon bc it wasn't labeled an event for adults while Taeyang separated his shows in 2010 b/t an all-ages one and only one for adults in response to the controversy GD faced the year prior.
They are the best live performers on earth, no doubt. I miss them like mad.
BIGBANG doesn't have perfectly synchronized choreo or anything; they just have fun on stage, which somehow makes any people smile. It was like a huge party. If they have a concert again, I will definitely go, WHATEVER IT TAKES!

Dang haha like that? I can try though but you are right. I can try to only understand the 16 years of being a VIP but I can't actually know the feeling. I am lucky and blessed to have all these performances and songs so accessible. The downside is i dont get to experienece the emotions VIP's felt when they were waiting and then the song released. Also all the award shows or the drama that went on in between i missed as well.

I was one of the VIP's who witnessed BIGBANG's concerts and from the start until the end of every performance we were wilding out, dancing, head banging, jumping, and most especially tearing joyfully just to see them. I don't think there are any Kpop groups nowadays, even those famous in this era, could surpass that overall level. BIGBANG is not only the standards, but also the maximum standards and that's why they're the KINGS of Kpop. BIGBANG (G-dragon) invented the idea of having concert light stick. Yes!! Super professional in every aspect. Also, it showed how big their team is that plays a significant role in their lives as well.
Taeyang, GD and Seungri are pretty fluent in English and were at that time too. TOP and Daesung were not so good but now they improved.
Also Seungri and Daesung know Japanese very well, almost like native speakers. Taeyang and GD know Japanese as well, TOP knows some base. Seungri also very fluent in Chinese.
And GD is good in Chinese too (Mandarin?) They all amaze me. Learning European languages - each one has the same alphabet, cultural background and share significant areas of etymology. They (not sure about TOP, maybe 2/3) are fluent in 3/4 languages, each with different alphabets, different cultures and different etymologies....so, so much harder.
@@iolog513 not sire how good GD is in Chinese. Cuz I remember Seungri was teaching him some base words on stage. Seungri also has some base knowledges in Thai and Tagalog as I know. Yes, they are truly amazing. Their personal skills are insane, even music instruments: Daesung - drums, Seungri/Taeyang/GD - piano, TOP - harmonica. Moreover, T.O.P, GD and Seungri can beatbox. @@ankoin It may be wrong, but I read that at the beginning Seungri and GD learnt Chinese whilst Taeyang and Darsung learnt Japanese. I have seen GD speaking to Chinese audiences in Chinese - but maybe that was later on. I wouldn't be suprised if Seungri was more fluent as I also read that he really focused on learning languages - not suprising for the man that often leads the fan talk on stage. :)
I am just wondering when they had the time to study these languages because like it was mentioned, these are languages that have different alphabets and difficult pronunciations!! I am shocked by their fluency in each language. I wonder how many years it took them to get the level they are at. Also the best way to communicate with someone from a different country is through their language so it is incredible they did the hard work to speak to them in their language when they were touring.
@@kjreacts7715 for Seungri learning different languages is not very hard. The reason is he likes to interact with people. And when he has interest it's more easy for him. He knows a lot of base phrases from different languages, especially Asian ones. Anyway BIGBANG began to learn languages in YG when they were rookies.

@@kjreacts7715I think maybe he was only hiding the neck tatoo from his parents cos they didn't want him to get more and he hadn't broken the news to them yet. He got his first tattoo in 2007 and now has around 20 of them now on his neck, arms, fingers, body, legs.. Sometimes he may have to cover them up so what he is doing can be broadcast, or perhaps for some adverts, but he doesn't hide the fact that he has them and generally doesn't cover them up. They are visible in his One of a Kind solo world tour 2013 and his Act III M.O.T.T.E solo world tour 2017 and also in his mv's. YG's later artist Blackpink apparently had terms in their contract that they couldn't smoke, drink alcohol, go to clubs or get tattoos without the permision of the agency. I think BIGBANG were misunderstood for these things and got public criticism and so later groups had more restrictions put on them. I can't know, but I think it must be a lot of pressure on these later groups, but maybe not as much as the level of criticism they might have had and potental negative impact on their careers, if the restrictions weren't there.
Fun fact : MADE TOUR have 1.5 million attendance it was one of the most attended Kpop tour of all time .

Great watching this with you. One thing I have really liked about BIGBANG over the years is for superstars, how grounded and sef-reflective they are, and also their lack of artifice. Apart from their own personalities, I think having these great people around them that treat them like family rather than being "yes" people helps. It says a lot for the members too, about how warmly those around them feel about them. They have a great relationship with their dancers and with Band 6 too. Band 6 have their own channel, but not much on it. I think tjey have an mv of them preparing for a BB concert though. I think that in 4th gen kpop groups it is not so easy to get such a natural recording as this, because media and industry pressures seem to be such that, even behind the scenes stuff, their is a much greater awareness of the camera and image and what they say. I don't think we are likely to see the likes again of TOP's response to being secretly filmed by Taeyang - at least not in the edited and publushed version 😅
Wheww!! Yes! Having those type of people around is key in life and especially when you are constantly when you productive at a high level. Also, BIGBANG has found people are llike minded and share similar values. They are wonderful people and they attracted people who are wonderful as well. They are not your typical celebrity or artist. They break every barrier in that. New groups definitely will struggle with alot because of how big the media is now days.
Before the MADE movie was made available in YT for free during the pandemic the fans were even joking that GD was drunk as all hell during the sober performance. Oh it hurt bad when we found out he was having heat stroke.

I have been a fan of BIGBANG for 10 years. Except for family, BIGBANG has always been the best thing for me. I attended Taeyang and Daesung's concert. Even though I knew it would be difficult, I still wanted to attend a BIGBANG concert with all 5 members once in my life.

Every moment is valuable, but I remember the most when he was alone singing BIGBANG's ballad songs, it was so heartbreaking, he sang Blue-Haru haru-If You-Last dance-Still life, all the fans here that cried a lot... Um that was our youth. I really wanted to attend the BIGBANG concert with all 5 members, but you know, it seems like it won't happen anymore. Right now, just being able to meet each person makes me feel good. Hope you will always support BIGBANG. I'm waiting for your next BIGBANG reaction video

Big Bang is STILL the only group who boasts BOTH the Rock-n-roll and Hip-Hop spirits(especially on live stages) into one and delivered it in the form of Kpop minus the robotic choroegraphies. The combination of eccentricity, attitude and swag, all of which when propelled by their energy and passion is why their concerts are worth the price of admission. PSY is the only other Korean live performer who can relate.

Even the members of Big Bang would say that G-Dragon doesn't really keep himself as healthy as he should. He's also a known cigarette smoker. He spends most of his time in a recording studio or touring until he enlisted so it's no wonder that he's had these sort of problems. I went on their MADE concert back in 2015?2016? in Los Angeles. It was insane, the whole crowd was under their spell or something. It was unforgettable

Funny story my best friend was in Hawaii with her family and I follow GD on IG. So GD post a video of him zip lining in Hawaii. So I call her and say hey you and GD are both in Hawaii so she looks at his IG and in the mean time Taeyang posted a picture of the view outside on a hotel balcony. So i tell her hey Teayang posted a picture. She looks and says that she thinks its this hotel near her. And I am like weird i wonder why they are in Hawaii. Do you think they have a concert there. Well they were having a concert that night. She got tickets and went. She said that T.O.P wasn't expected to be there but he was. The funny thing is she went for me because I am the BigBang fan. She would call me and I would scream over the phone. She took a ton of pics for me. I think that was the last US concert ever :(

as for yang hyun suk or yg as a person. he was a great producer and had a close relationship with all bigbang members esp. gd and yb. in the movie their bond was still strong. they were so close that each member teased him on tv😂 back then it was obvious that he put his artists first. but as the company got biggger, things happened. yg stepped down and everything has been going down since then.
